Abstract

Polioles con por lo menos una funcion hidroxi primaria y por lo menos otra funcion hidroxi primaria, secundario o terciaria en la posicion 2 y/o 3, sonutilizados como aditivos en concentraciones de 50 ppm a 5.000 ppm a fin de reducir el contenido deacetaldehido de los productos extruidos de tereftalatode polietileno. Preferentemente se utilizan los alcoholes de azucar, tales como sorbitol, manitol o xilitol. Adicionalmente, los compuestos ionicos,preferentemente los compuestos ionicosfácilment e solubles, tales como compuestos alcalinos, pueden mezclarse en cantidades de 0,05 ppm a 50 ppm. De acuerdocon la presente, soluciones de poliol acuosas son aplicadas por aspersion en pelotillas de tereftalato de polietileno luego de lapolicondensa cion o conposterioridad a la segunda etapa de policondensacion, también conocida como polimerizacion de estado solido, o dichas pelotillas son producidas a travésde extrusion con un contenido poliol menos o igual al 25% en peso, y sonluego configura das en forma de pelotillas (pelletizadas) y mezcladas comouna mezcla madre con un poliéster antes del procesamiento.
