Abstract

Un aparato para el secado de objetos recubiertos tales como fruta cítricas que han sido recubiertas por un bano de una sustancia acuosa, tal como la cera.El aparato comprende una cámara que está dividida en cuatro zonas diferentes, dos de las cualesubicada por encima y dos por debajo del transportador que transporta la fruta al secadero. Se provee un calentador de caldeo indirecto y ventiladores que hacen circular el aire de secado a alta velocidad en un procedimiento de flujo de aire inverso.La cámara del secadero está hecha con una forma unica, de modo que cada zona sucesiva sea alternadamente convergente y divergente. Con esa disposicion el aire se equilibra en las zonas de tratamiento y pasa sobre las frutas dos veces, primero en unadir eccion y luego en ladireccion opuesta, para lograr un secado parejo y completo.
