Abstract
Un medio y métodos para transformar células, semillas, tejidos o plantas completas para obtener transformantes capaces de expresar a todas las enzimas dela ruta de biosíntesis de carotenoide que son esenciales para la planta huésped objetivo con la finalidad de acumular los carotenos y/o xantofilas de interés.Además provee moléculas de ADN disenadas para que sean adecuadas para llevar a cabo el método de la presente, y plásmidos y sistemas de vector que comprenden adichas moléculas. Más aun, provee células, semillas, tejidos de una planta transgénica o plantas completas que muestran una cualidad nutricional mejorada ycontienen a estas moléculas de ADN y/o han sido generadas por medio del uso de la presente invencion.
