Abstract

Una composicion para el tratamiento de mastitis físicamente y químicamente estable que comprende una parte acidificante y una parte de clorito, composicionque puede reducir en forma efectiva poblaciones microbianas en contacto con la superficie a tratar durante un período prolongado. La composicion comprende: (a)una parte acidificante que comprende ingredientes orgánicos, comprendiendo tales ingredientes orgánicos: (i) aproximadamente 0,1 a 15 partes en peso de unácido monocarboxílico C1-6 o unácido dicarboxílico C1-6 o una mezcla de los mismos; (ii) aproximadamente 0,1 a 15 partes en peso de un ácido antimicrobianoque comprende un ácido carboxílico C6-12 o una sal del mismo o un ácido hidrocarbonsulfonico o una sal del mismo; (iii) aproximadamente 0,1 a 20 partes en pesode un agente espesante polimérico orgánico, un agente formador de película polimérico orgánico o mezcla de los mismos; y (iv) una mayor proporcion de agua; (b)una parte de clorito, sustancialmente libre de un componente orgánico, consistente esencialmente de una sal de metal alcalino de clorito; en donde lacomposicion exhibe una reología que promueve adhesion para inmovilizar la composicion sobre la superficie a tratar y provee una barrera contra la contaminacionambiental.
