Abstract

Se revela un fragmento aislado de ácidos nucleicos que codifica una proteina reguladora del ciclo celular que se selecciona entre una proteina CDC2 y unaprotein quinasa de PITSLRE. Se construye un gen quimérico que codifica toda o una porcion de dicha proteína, en orientacion sentido o antisentido, en donde laexpresion de dicho gen quimérico resulta en la produccion de niveles alterados de dicha proteína regulatoria del ciclocelular en una célula huéspedtransformada. Se revelan también métodos para obtener dicho fragmento de ácidos nucleicos y un método para evaluar por lo menos un compuesto respecto de sucapacidad para inhibir la actividad de una proteína de regulacion del ciclo celular. La disponibilidad de secuencias de ácidos nucleicosque codifiquen toda ouna porcion de una proteína reguladora del ciclo celular facilita los estudios para comprender mejor la regulacion del ciclo celular en plantas, proporcionaherramientas genéticas para mejorar el crecimiento celular en cultivos detejidos, incrementa la eficacia de la transferencia de genes y ayuda a obtenertransformaciones más estables.
