Abstract

Prepolímeros o cuasi-prepolímeros terminados en isocianato son preparados a partir de polioxipropilén, dioles que tienen una insaturacion menor de 0,02meq/g y un peso molecular mayor de 2.000 Da. Estos proveen elastomeros con propiedades físicas mejoradas, particularmente dureza, elasticidad, resistenciaal desgarro, y endurecimiento por compresion, los cuales pueden ser preparados por extension de cadena o curado por humedad de los prepolímeros terminados enisocianato preparados a partirde un componente poliol que comprende un polioxipropilén diol de alto peso molecular y baja insaturacion y un diol debajo peso molecular. Los elastomeros son utiles para aplicaciones tales como rodillos y otras aplicaciones para las cuales esas propiedades físicas sonimportantes.
