Las piezas moldeadas presentam ventajas en el manipuleo en comparacion con el polvo. Las piezas moldeadas se pueden preparar por medio de la aplicacion enforma de gotas o tiras de cloruro de cianuro fundido sobre una superficie y eliminacion del calor de fusion por refrigeracion de la superficie o contactode la masa fundida aplicada en forma de gotas o escamas con un gas refrigerante .
