Abstract

Un método para transmitir datos de imagen de múltiple resolución a través de mecanismos inalámbricos en un sistema de comunicación de frecuencia de radiocaracterizado porque las imágenes se descomponen en niveles de resolución. Los datos deimagen se almacenan en bloques de información discreta en una unidadde almacenamiento de imagen que incluye una imagen de base y uno o más detalles de la misma. La imagen de base representa la resolución menos nítida de laimagen. Cada detalle de laimagen, cuando se agrega a la imagen de base, mejora la solución de esta. Una unidad de exhibición de imagen transmite una solicitudde datos de imagen a la unidad de almacenamiento de imagen. En respuesta a la solicitud inicial, la imagen de basese trans mite a la unidad de exhibición deimagen. Si la imagen de base es insuficiente, la resolución puede aumentarse progresivamente enviando solicitudes de datos adicionales de la imagen para quese transmitan detalles adicionales de la misma.Los detal les adicionales de la imagen se transmiten entonces a la unidad de exhibición de imagen y serecombinan con la imagen de base para procurar un mivel mayor de resolución a la imagen.
