Abstract

Un método para interrogar a una pluralidad de dispositivos interconectados, en donde una red de datos de área local interconecta dispositivos que formanuna disposición de vigilancia por video. Los dispositivos conectados a la red de área localestá n divididos en diferentes clases que son interrogadas condiferentes grados de frecuencia. Los dispositivos son reasignados dinámicamente de clase a clase con dependencia de los requisitos de corrientesde cada dispositivo paraacceso a l a red. También se emplea interrogación grupal con resolución de contención por medio de un algoritmo de sondeo. Lasrespuestas negativas a los mensajes de interrogación se forman como una serie de transiciones de línea querequieren menos tiem po que la transmisión de unsólo byte de datos. Los mensajes de interrogación tienen una longitud distintiva en términos de bytes que es más corta que cualquier otro mensajetransmitido en la red. Los dispositivosinterrogados pueden transfer ir datos directamente a los dispositivos observadores en respuesta a los mensajes deinterrogación.
