Abstract

Un larguero lateral de peso liviano que tiene un perfil de sección transversal en forma de viga doble T, sólido y abierto, está estructuralmentemejorado mediante el reforzamiento por ambos laterales del larguero lateral con arriostramientosen cada área de quijada de soporte. El arriostramiento aumentala rigidez lateral del larguero lateral, eliminando la susceptibilidad a los esfuerzos de torsión del perfil de viga doble T cuando se aplica una cargatransversal. La rigidez lateral incrementada en el área de quijada también incrementa la resistencia lateral total del larguero lateral, lo cual permitela remoción de masa metálica de la placa de apoyo de resortes del larguero lateral. El mejoramiento de la resistencia lateral del larguero lateral tambiéncontribuye a un incremento de la velocidad umbral de movimiento pendular del bogie.
