Abstract
Se obtiene un termoplástico polimérico delgado o un envase de este material apto para cerveza o jugos, por ejemplo, que presenta mayor impermeabilidad ahumedad y gases y menor encogimiento durante el llenado de envase a temperaturas de pasteurización. Según el método de obtención del envase, unapreforma (11) de tereftalato de polietileno (PET), que tiene un cuerpo cilíndrico (13) con una tapa, una boca roscada y un cuello provisto de uncollar (19), es precalentada para ablandar el PET. La preforma es introducida en un molde partido (26) cuyas paredes (27, 29) se calientan a una temperaturade entre 150°C y 177°C. Un vástago estirador (35) es introducido en la preforma (11) para estirarla axilmente hasta que la preformaalcanza la longitud delproducto final (49). Se expande y se moldea la preforma contra las paredes del molde empleando aire comprimido. Se ventea el aire y se inyecta nitrógeno secodentro de la preforma moldeada (47) a una temperatura menor que -50°C para purgar y enfriar la preforma moldeada, manteniendo la presión a 520 kPag, porlo menos. La preforma moldeada es mantenida contra el molde durante un tiempo predeterminado durante el cual se templan las superficies interna y externa delapreforma moldeada, la que se transforma en el producto final. Se corta el suministro de nitrógeno y el producto final es liberado del molde.
