Abstract

En la presente se describe una composición que comprende una novedosa forma cristalina del tereftalato de (poli)etileno de bajo peso molecular. Esta formacristalina puede producirse a partir de material de tereftalato de (poli)etilenode bajo peso molecular fundido o vítreo por medio de una rápidatransferencia térmica a o desde el material. La composición de tereftalato de (poli)etileno es adecuada para usar como material inicial para lapolimerización en estado sólido paraproduci r polímeros de peso molecular más alto. Se puede producir un producto polimérico de peso molecular más alto quetiene una forma física singular por polimerización en estado sólido del tereftalato de (poli)etileno de bajo pesomolecular. Se d a a conocer ademáspartículas formadas a partir de la composición de la nueva forma de tereftalato de (poli)etileno, un procedimiento de polimerización a partir de la misma y elproducto polimérico resultante.
