Abstract
PURPOSE:To discriminate speech signals throughout the entire speed range without fail by automatically adjusting the recognition reference levels of noises and speech based on running conditions. CONSTITUTION:In a running state sensor 40, a speed sensor 41 generates a pulse signal corresponding to a vehicle speed, and a gear positions sensor 42 generates an ON and OFF signal on a signal line corresponding to the gear position. A function generator 50 converts the pulse signal fs into a corresponding voltage signals Vs. A frequency to voltage converter 51, a voltage generator 52 which generates a voltage Vc corresponding to the gear position, and an adder 53, which computes both voltage outputs and imparts the noise level comparison reference voltage V2 to a judging circuit 60, are provided. In the judging circuit 60, a comparator 61 compares an output signal V1 of a speech input part 10 with the output V2. When the output thereof is changed to a high level (V1>=V2) with this state being continued for a specified time, a start judging circuit 2 gives a recognition start command to a speech recognition part 30. When the output is changed to a low level (V1<V2) with this state being continued for a specified time, an end judging circuit 63 gives a recognition end command.
