PURPOSE:To surely perform automatic switching, in an automatic switching device operated in accordance with brightness condition, by comparing output of a photoelectric converter with a reference value and outputting its output, engine speed siangl and wheel speed signal through AND circuits. CONSTITUTION:Output of a photoelectric converter 7 is compared with a reference value, corresponding to evening, in a comparator 41 and output, passing through a delay circuit 51, removing light of pulse state noise, then input to a reserve lamp control circuit 85. While output of the converter 7 is compared with a reference value, corresponding to a quantity of light at night, in a comparator 43 and input to an AND circuit 61, then obtained with an AND result by an engine speed signal E or accelerator depression signal A, further delayed by time constant changing circuits 91, 93, arranged before and after the circuit 61, finally input to a head lamp control circuit 81. Further a wheel rotary speed signal T is obrained with an AND result by output of the comparator 43 in an AND circuit 65, and input to the head lamp control circuit 81 through time constant changing circuits 97, 99, connected before and after said AND circuit 65. Accordingly, automatic switching can be safely performed in high safety.
