744,127. Cathode-ray tubes. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES, Ltd. Feb. 14, 1952 [March 3, 1951], No. 5184/51. Class 39 (1). The voltage applied to the first and second anodes 4, 5 of a cathode-ray tube 1 are in such ratio that when the E.H.T. voltage varies the focal plane of the electrostatic lens varies in opposition to the change in of the focal plane of the magnetic lens 7, e.g. a coil or permanent magnet. The E.H.T. on the second anode 5 and the wall anode 6 may be 8 kv. and the voltage on first anode 4 about 1 kv. Specification 665,094 is referred to.
