Abstract

Description

送信器及び通信装置 関連出願の相互参照
 本出願は、2024年7月8日に出願された日本出願番号2024-109628号に基づくもので、ここにその記載内容を援用する。
 本開示は、絶縁通信に利用される送信器、及びその送信器を用いて自己診断機能を備える通信装置に関する。
 一般的に、高電圧機器の絶縁通信システムにおいて使用されるアイソレータは、入力側と出力側がと絶縁素子により電気的に絶縁された状態で信号を伝達する、マルチチップ構成の半導体装置により構成される。絶縁素子には、例えばキャパシタやトランス等の受動素子が用いられる。高電圧機器の通信システムは、ノイズが多い環境下で行われることが多い。ノイズに対して高い耐性を持つ差動信号を用いた通信方式として、例えば特許文献1等に開示される技術が使用される。また、半導体通信回路における自己診断技術については、例えば特許文献2~4等が提案されている。

 特許文献2には、送信する主信号に補助信号を重畳させて、受信側でフィルタを用いて周波数分離する方式で故障診断する装置が開示されている。これにより、通信路のオープン、電源へのショート、グランドへのショートが検出可能とされているが、絶縁素子の両側端子のショート故障の検出については開示されていない。
 特許文献3には、差動通信の故障検出に関する装置が開示されているが、この手法は受信機を少なくとも3つ備える構成であるため、製造コストの増加を招く。特許文献4には、差動通信線をそのまま用いて、同相信号に含まれる直流信号により信号を伝達する方法が開示されている。しかしながら、絶縁通信は容量結合又は誘導結合であるため、直流信号は伝達できない。
 本開示は上記事情に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的は、自己診断を行うための信号を生成できる送信器、及び追加の受信回路を必要とせず絶縁部の故障を検出できる通信装置を提供することにある。
 請求項1記載の送信器によれば、絶縁部を通じて電気信号を送信する。被変調信号生成部は、クロック信号に基づいて入力信号をデジタル変調する際に、入力される自己診断切替信号がインアクティブであれば、被変調信号を差動逆相変調信号とする。一方、自己診断切替信号がアクティブであれば、被変調信号を診断用の差動同相変調信号として差動信号線に出力する。
 このように構成すれば、送信器より送信された信号を受信する側では、診断用の差動同相変調信号を受信した際に、その復調結果によって絶縁部が故障しているか否かを判別できる。
 請求項2記載の送信器によれば、被変調信号生成部は、デジタル変調としてオンオフ変調を行なう。
 請求項3記載の通信装置によれば、請求項1又は2記載の送信器、この送信器より送信された被変調信号を受信して復調する受信器、及び送信器と受信器との間に接続される絶縁部、及び受信側制御部を備える。受信側制御部は、自己診断切替信号がアクティブとなる自己診断時に、受信器により復調された信号に基づいて正常か異常かを判定し、診断結果を上位の制御装置に送信する。受信器が診断用の差動同相変調信号を受信して復調すると、絶縁部が正常か異常かによって復調結果が異なるようになる。これにより、絶縁部が故障しているか否かを判別できる。

  (第1実施形態)
 図3に示すように、本実施形態の通信装置1は、送信器2、絶縁部3、受信器4及びロジック回路5を備えている。送信器2は、入力信号をクロック信号に基づいてデジタル変調した被変調信号を、絶縁部3を介して受信器4に送信する。また、送信器2には自己診断切替信号が入力されている。送信器2、絶縁部3及び受信器4間の通信線は差動信号線である。通信器2は、自己診断切替信号がインアクティブであれば、被変調信号を差動逆相変調信号として電気信号を送信する。一方、自己診断切替信号がアクティブであれば、被変調信号を診断用の差動同相変調信号として差動信号線に出力する。受信器4は、受信した信号を復調してロジック回路5に出力する。
 図1に示すように、送信器2は、差動信号・診断信号生成部11、被変調信号生成部12及び出力バッファ13を備えている。差動信号・診断信号生成部11には、クロック信号と自己診断切替信号とが入力されている。差動信号・診断信号生成部11は、これらの信号に基づいて、通常の通信に使用する差動信号と、絶縁部3の診断に使用する診断信号とを生成する。被変調信号生成部12は、入力信号を差動信号・診断信号生成部11から出力される信号によりオンオフ変調し、被変調信号を生成して出力バッファ13に出力する。尚、差動信号・診断信号生成部11も、被変調信号生成部を構成する。
 図2に示すように、差動信号・診断信号生成部11は、NOTゲート14a及び14b,NANDゲート15a~15c並びに16p及び16mで構成されている。被変調信号生成部12はNANDゲート17p及び17mで構成され、出力バッファ13はNANDゲート18p及び18mで構成されている。自己診断切替信号は、NANDゲート15bの入力端子の一方と、NOTゲート14bを介してNANDゲート15cの入力端子の一方とに与えられている。
 クロック信号は、NANDゲート15aの入力端子の双方と、NANDゲート15bの入力端子の他方と、NOTゲート14aを介してNANDゲート15cの入力端子の他方とに与えられている。NANDゲート15aの出力端子は、NANDゲート16pの入力端子の双方に接続され、NANDゲート15b及び15cの出力端子は、NANDゲート16mの入力端子のそれぞれに接続されている。
 NANDゲート16p,16mの出力端子は、それぞれ被変調信号生成部12を構成するNANDゲート17p,17mの入力端子の一方を介して、出力バッファ13を構成するNANDゲート18p,18mの入力端子に接続されている。入力信号は、NANDゲート17p,17mの入力端子の他方に与えられている。
 送信器2では、自己診断切替信号がインアクティブとなるローレベルであれば、入力信号がハイレベルを示す際に、出力バッファ13より出力されるP出力及びM出力は、互いに逆相となるクロック信号が出力される。一方、自己診断切替信号がアクティブとなるハイレベルであれば、同じく入力信号がハイレベルを示す際に、P出力及びM出力は、同相となるクロック信号が出力される。
 図4に示すように、受信器4は、差動アンプ21及び包絡線検波器22を備えている。図5に示すように、送信器2で行われるデジタル変調は例えばオンオフ変調であり、入力信号がハイレベル;Hであれば、被変調信号は差動の逆相変調信号となる。受信器4では、差動逆相変調信号を包絡線検波器22より復調してハイレベルの信号を出力する。
 図7に示すように、絶縁部3は、絶縁素子及び静電容量素子である2つのコンデンサ23及び24の直列回路で構成されている。また、図7では、送信器2をトランシーバのシンボルのみで簡略的に示している。受信器4については、差動アンプを含むレシーバ21と、包絡線検波器22を構成する復調部25及びコンパレータ26とで示している。
 次に、本実施形態の作用について説明する。通信装置1については、絶縁部3を含む差動通信線の検査を行った上で出荷する。しかし、出荷時には想定していなない原因等により絶縁部3に故障が生じる可能性を考慮して、本実施形態の通信装置1に、出荷後に市場にて絶縁故障を自己診断する機能を搭載する。
 図6に示す処理は、通信装置1のプロトコルとして起動後に実行されるように規定されている。起動すると、送信器2は、通信信号Hを差動出力で送信する。つまり、P出力及びM出力が互いに逆相となる信号を送信する(S1)。受信側制御部に相当するロジック回路5は、受信器4により復調された信号がハイレベル;Hか否かを判断する(S2)。
 ここで信号Hを受信すれば(YES)シーケンスが次に進み、送信器2は、診断用信号を送信する。つまり、P出力及びM出力が同相となる信号を送信する(S3)。ロジック回路5は、受信器4により復調された信号がローレベル;Lか否かを判断する(S4)。ここで信号Lを受信すれば(YES)、絶縁通信が正常に行われていることになり、処理を終了する。
 ステップS2で信号Lを受信した場合は(NO)、ロジック回路5は、例えば差動通信線が途絶している等の故障が発生していると判定する(S5)。また、ステップS4で信号Hを受信した場合は(NO)、ロジック回路5は、例えば絶縁部3の故障が発生していると判定する(S6)。ステップS2、又はS4で故障を判定した場合、ロジック回路5は、後述する第2実施形態に示すように、判定結果を上位の制御装置に送信する。
 ここで、ステップS2及びS4の判断について、図7から図9を参照して説明する。
尚、図中に示す「BIST」は、自己診断機能(Built In Self-Test)を意味する。図7の(a)に示すように、通信が正常に行われている際に、信号Hを差動信号で送信すれば、受信器4では、ステップS2での期待値である信号Hが復調される。また、(b)に示すように、信号Hを同相信号で送信すれば、受信器4では、ステップS4での期待値である信号Lが復調される。
 これに対して、図8の(c)に示すように、例えばコンデンサ24mがオープン故障している場合に、信号Hを差動信号で送信すると、差動通信線のm側の信号は受信器4に伝達されず、p側の信号だけが伝達される。そのため、コンパレータ26に入力される信号が十分に増幅されていれば、受信器4では信号Hが復調されてしまうため、コンデンサ24mが故障していることは検出できない。図8の(d)に示すショート故障の場合は、信号Hを差動信号で送信すると、m側の信号の振幅が正常時よりも大きくなり差動性が崩れるが、やはり受信器4では信号Hが復調されてしまうため、故障は検出できない。
 そこで、本実施形態では、通信装置1の起動後に故障を検出する期間を設定し、送信器2より診断用の同相信号を送信する。すると、図7の(b)に示したように、差動通信線が健全であれば受信器4では信号Lが復調されるのに対して、図9の(e),(f)に示すように、例えばコンデンサ23mがオープン故障、ショート故障している場合には、何れも信号Hが復調される。これにより、絶縁部3の故障が自己診断で検出できるようになる。
 以上のように本実施形態によれば、通信装置1は、送信器2、絶縁部3、受信器4及びロジック回路5を備える。送信器2は、絶縁部3を通じて差動信号を送信する。信号生成部11及び12は、クロック信号に基づいて入力信号をオンオフ変調する際に、入力される自己診断切替信号がインアクティブであれば、被変調信号を差動逆相変調信号とする。一方、自己診断切替信号がアクティブであれば、被変調信号を診断用の差動同相変調信号として差動信号線に出力する。このように構成すれば、受信器4が診断用の差動同相変調信号を受信して復調すると、絶縁部3が正常か異常かによって復調結果が異なるようになる。これにより、絶縁部が故障しているか否かを自己診断で判別できる。
  (第2実施形態)
 以下、第1実施形態と同一部分には同一符号を付して説明を省略し、異なる部分について説明する。図10に示すように、第2実施形態の通信装置31は、制御回路32(1)から制御回路32(2)へ信号を送信するための送信器2(1)、絶縁部3(1)及び受信器4(1)と、制御回路32(2)から制御回路32(1)へ信号を送信するための送信器2(2)、絶縁部3(2)及び受信器4(2)とを備えている。制御回路32は、第1実施形態のロジック回路5の機能を備えており、制御回路32(1)は送信器2(1)に、制御回路32(2)は送信器2(2)にそれぞれ自己診断切替信号を出力する。
 次に、第2実施形態の作用について説明する。図11において、ステップS11~S16は第1実施形態のステップS1~S6に対応するもので、通信装置31が起動すると、先ず送信器(1)側が第1実施形態と同様の処理を実行する。ステップS15及びS16の故障判定は、制御回路32(2)によって行われる。故障が発生したことは、制御回路32(2)より、送信器2(2)、絶縁部3(2)及び受信器4(2)を介して制御回路32(1)に伝達され、更に制御回路32(1)から上位の制御装置であるMCU(Micro Control Unit)33に伝達される。
 ステップS11~S16は、ステップS11~S16と同様の処理を、制御回路32(2)送信器2(2)、絶縁部3(2)及び受信器4(2)によって行うものである。ステップS21及びS22の故障判定は、制御回路32(1)によって行われる。
 本件は、特許請求の範囲の記載の発明に加え、以下のような発明を含む。

 絶縁部(3)を通じて電気信号を送信するもので、
 クロック信号に基づいて入力信号をデジタル変調する際に、
 入力される自己診断切替信号がインアクティブであれば、被変調信号を差動逆相変調信号とし、
 前記自己診断切替信号がアクティブであれば、被変調信号を診断用の差動同相変調信号として差動信号線に出力する被変調信号生成部(11,12)と、を備える送信器。

 前記被変調信号生成部は、オンオフ変調を行なう[1]記載の送信器。

 [1]又は[2]記載の送信器(2)と、
 この送信器より送信された被変調信号を受信して復調する受信器(4)と、
 前記送信器と前記受信器との間に接続される絶縁部(3)と、
 前記自己診断切替信号がアクティブとなる自己診断時に、前記受信器により復調された信号に基づいて正常か異常かを判定し、診断結果を上位の制御装置に送信する受信側制御部(5,32)と、を備える通信装置。

 前記復調される信号は、前記自己診断切替信号がアクティブとなる自己診断の際に、正常であれば論理値がローレベルを示し、異常であれば論理値がハイレベルを示す[3]記載の通信装置。

 前記受信器は、差動アンプ(21)と、包絡線検波器(22)とを備え、
 前記被変調信号を復調する[3]又は[4]記載の通信装置。
[6]
 前記絶縁部は、2以上の静電容量素子(23,24)を直列に接続して構成されている[3]から[5]の何れか1つに記載の通信装置。
  (その他の実施形態)
 デジタル変調は、オンオフ変調に限ることなく、その他例えば周波数変調でも良い。したがって、受信器での復調方式も、包絡線検波器によるものに限らない。
 絶縁部は、2つのコンデンサを直列に接続するものに限らず、1つ又は3つ以上の絶縁素子で構成しても良い。また、誘導結合素子により構成しても良い。
 本開示は、実施例に準拠して記述されたが、本開示は当該実施例や構造に限定されるものではないと理解される。本開示は、様々な変形例や均等範囲内の変形をも包含する。加えて、様々な組み合わせや形態、さらには、それらに一要素のみ、それ以上、あるいはそれ以下、を含む他の組み合わせや形態をも、本開示の範疇や思想範囲に入るものである。

Claims (6)

  1.  絶縁部(3)を通じて電気信号を送信するもので、
     クロック信号に基づいて入力信号をデジタル変調する際に、
     入力される自己診断切替信号がインアクティブであれば、被変調信号を差動逆相変調信号とし、
     前記自己診断切替信号がアクティブであれば、被変調信号を診断用の差動同相変調信号として差動信号線に出力する被変調信号生成部(11,12)と、を備える送信器。
  2.  前記被変調信号生成部は、オンオフ変調を行なう請求項1記載の送信器。
  3.  請求項1又は2記載の送信器(2)と、
     この送信器より送信された被変調信号を受信して復調する受信器(4)と、
     前記送信器と前記受信器との間に接続される絶縁部(3)と、
     前記自己診断切替信号がアクティブとなる自己診断時に、前記受信器により復調された信号に基づいて正常か異常かを判定し、診断結果を上位の制御装置に送信する受信側制御部(5,32)と、を備える通信装置。
  4.  前記復調される信号は、前記自己診断切替信号がアクティブとなる自己診断の際に、正常であれば論理値がローレベルを示し、異常であれば論理値がハイレベルを示す請求項3記載の通信装置。
  5.  前記受信器は、差動アンプ(21)と、包絡線検波器(22)とを備え、
     前記被変調信号を復調する請求項3記載の通信装置。
  6.  前記絶縁部は、2以上の静電容量素子(23,24)を直列に接続して構成されている請求項3記載の通信装置。
