Description

アークのエネルギーを検出するための方法、装置、およびシステム
 本発明は、ケーブルが断線した場合に発生するアークのエネルギーを検出するための方法、装置、およびシステムに関する。
 従来、電流の周波数特性により、アークの発生を判定する方法が知られている。この方法では、電流センサによって、ケーブルの電流が測定される。測定された電流のうち、アーク周波数帯域(例えば数10kHz)の成分に対して、FFT(高速フーリエ変換)による解析が施される。それにより得られた周波数特性のレベルにより、アークの発生が判定される。

 しかし、アークの発生だけではなく、アークによる影響を精度よく判定するためには、アークのエネルギーを検出することが必要となる。図7に示すように、アークのエネルギーは、ケーブル100において、断線によりアークが発生した部分101での電圧Vaと、その部分を流れる電流Iaとの積によって表される。詳細には、図8に示すように、アーク発生前は、上述した部分101での電圧Vaはゼロであるため、アークエネルギーはゼロである。アークによりケーブルが部分101で断線した後は、電流Iaがゼロであるため、アークエネルギーはゼロである。過渡的にアークが発生している間の電圧Vaと電流Iaとの積がアークエネルギーの大きさを示す。
 従って、アーク発生中の電圧Vaと電流Iaとを検出すれば、アークのエネルギーを精度よく算出することができる。しかし、ケーブルの断線によって発生したアークのエネルギーを検出する場合、ケーブルがどの部分で断線するかを予測することは困難である。特に、ケーブルが広い範囲に配設されている場合には、ケーブルの断線部分での電圧を検出することは容易ではない。本発明の目的は、ケーブルが断線した場合に発生するアークのエネルギーを精度よく検出することにある。
 本発明の第1の態様に係る方法は、電源に接続されたケーブルが断線した場合に発生するアークのエネルギーを検出するための方法である。本態様に係る方法は、ケーブルの電流を検出することと、ケーブルの電圧を検出することと、アークの発生を判定することと、アークの発生時点からの電圧の減少分を算出することと、電圧の減少分と電流とに基づいて、アークのエネルギーを算出すること、を備える。
 本発明の第2の態様に係る装置は、電源に接続されたケーブルが断線した場合に発生するアークのエネルギーを検出するための装置である。本態様に係る装置は、電流センサと、電圧センサと、コンピュータとを備える。電流センサは、ケーブルの電流を検出する。電圧センサは、ケーブルの電圧を検出する。コンピュータは、電流と電圧とを取得する。コンピュータは、アークの発生を判定する。コンピュータは、アークの発生時点からの電圧の減少分を算出する。コンピュータは、電圧の減少分と電流とに基づいて、アークのエネルギーを算出する。
 本発明の第3の態様に係るシステムは、電源と、ケーブルと、アークエネルギー検出装置とを備える。ケーブルは、電源に接続される。アークエネルギー検出装置は、ケーブルに接続される。アークエネルギー検出装置は、電流センサと、電圧センサと、コンピュータとを備える。電流センサは、ケーブルの電流を検出する。電圧センサは、ケーブルの電圧を検出する。コンピュータは、電流と電圧とを取得する。コンピュータは、アークの発生を判定する。コンピュータは、アークの発生時点からの電圧の減少分を算出する。コンピュータは、電圧の減少分と電流とに基づいて、アークのエネルギーを算出する。
 本発明によれば、ケーブルが断線した場合に発生するアークのエネルギーを精度よく検出することができる。

 以下、図面を参照して実施形態にかかるアークエネルギーを算出するための方法について説明する。図1は、実施形態に係る電力供給システム1の構成を示す模式図である。図1に示すように、電力供給システム1は、電源2と、パワーコンディショナー3と、ケーブル4と、電力遮断装置5とを備える。
 電源2は、電力を供給する。電源2は、例えばソーラーパネル6を含む。ソーラーパネル6は、太陽光により発電する。電源2は、ソーラーパネル6によって発電された電力を供給する。パワーコンディショナー3は、電源2で発電された電力を制御する。パワーコンディショナー3は、電源2で発電された電力を変換して、電気機器、或いはバッテリに供給する。ケーブル4は、電源2とパワーコンディショナー3とを接続する。ケーブル4は、第1ケーブル4Aと第2ケーブル4Bとを含む。例えば、第1ケーブル4Aは電源2のプラス極に接続され、第2ケーブル4Bは電源2のマイナス極に接続されている。
 電力遮断装置5は、パワーコンディショナー3からの指令に応じて、電源2とケーブル4との接続と遮断とを切り替える。電力遮断装置5は、例えば、リレー7を含む。リレー7は、オン状態とオフ状態とに切り替え可能である。リレー7は、オン状態で、電源2をケーブル4に接続する。リレー7は、オフ状態で、電源2をケーブル4から遮断する。
 パワーコンディショナーは、アークエネルギー検出装置8を含む。アークエネルギー検出装置8は、ケーブル4におけるアークの発生を検出し、発生したアークのエネルギーを検出する。図2は、アークエネルギー検出装置8の構成を示すブロック図である。図2に示すように、アークエネルギー検出装置8は、電流センサ11と、電圧センサ12と、検出回路13とを含む。
 電流センサ11は、第1ケーブル4Aに接続されている。電流センサ11は、パワーコンディショナーに入力される電流を検出する。電流センサ11は、すなわち、電流センサ11は、第1ケーブル4Aを流れる電流の波形を示す電流波形データを検出する。電圧センサ12は、第1ケーブル4Aと第2ケーブル4Bとに接続されている。電圧センサ12は、第1ケーブル4Aと第2ケーブル4Bとの間の電圧を検出する。
 検出回路13は、増幅器14と、フィルタ15と、マイクロコンピュータ16とを含む。増幅器14は、電流センサ11が検出した電流波形データを増幅させる。フィルタ15は、増幅された電流波形データのアーク周波数帯域の成分を抽出する。
 マイクロコンピュータ16は、A/D変換部21と、FFT部22と、アーク判定部23と、アークエネルギー算出部24と、遮断制御部25とを含む。A/D変換部21と、FFT部22と、アーク判定部23と、アークエネルギー算出部24とは、それぞれマイクロコンピュータ16による処理によって実現される。A/D変換部21は、フィルタ15を通過したアーク周波数帯域の電流波形データに対して、A/D変換を行う。FFT部22は、変換された電流波形データに高速フーリエ変換を施すことで、周波数成分ごとの電流波形データのパワースペクトルを算出する。
 アーク判定部23は、電流波形データのパワースペクトルに基づいて、アークの発生を判定する。例えば、アーク判定部23は、電流波形データのパワースペクトルが、所定のパワー閾値以上である場合に、アークが発生したと判定する。
 アークエネルギー算出部24は、電流センサ11が検出した電流と、電圧センサ12が検出した電圧とに基づいて、アークのエネルギーを算出する。図3は、アーク発生時の電流I1の波形と電圧V1の波形とを示す図である。アーク判定部23は、図3に示す時間T1で、アークが発生したと判定する。アークエネルギー算出部24は、アークの発生時点T1からの電圧V1の減少分ΔVを算出する。例えば、アークエネルギー算出部24は、アークの発生時点T1以降の電圧V1の波形を反転させることで、アークの発生時点T1からの電圧V1の減少分ΔVを算出する。
 アークエネルギー算出部24は、アークの発生時点T1以降の電圧V1の減少分ΔVと電流I1とに基づいて、アークのエネルギーを算出する。アークエネルギー算出部24は、図4においてハッチングで示されているように、アークの発生時点T1以降の電圧V1の減少分ΔVと電流I1との積を、アークのエネルギーEaとして算出する。
 遮断制御部25は、アークのエネルギーに基づいて、電源2からケーブル4への電力を遮断するかを判定する。例えば、遮断制御部25は、アークのエネルギーが所定のエネルギー閾値以上である場合には、電源2からケーブル4への電力を遮断すると決定する。その場合、遮断制御部25は、電力遮断装置5を制御して、ケーブル4への電力を遮断する。
 以上説明した本実施形態に係るアークエネルギーを算出する方法によれば、ケーブル4からアークエネルギー検出装置8に入力される電圧V1のアークの発生時点T1以降の減少分ΔVに基づいて、アークのエネルギーが算出される。アークが発生した場合、アークエネルギー検出装置8に入力される電圧V1は、ケーブル4においてアークが発生した部分での電圧分だけ減少する。従って、電圧V1のアークの発生時点T1以降の減少分ΔVは、ケーブル4においてアークが発生した部分での電圧に相当するとみなすことができる。そのため、ケーブル4における断線部分の位置が特定できなくても、アークのエネルギーを精度よく検出することができる。
 以上、本発明の一実施形態について説明したが、本発明は上記実施形態に限定されるものではなく、発明の要旨を逸脱しない範囲で種々の変更が可能である。
 電力供給システム1の構成は上記の実施形態のものに限らず、変更されてもよい。例えば、電源2は、ソーラーパネル6以外の発電機を含んでもよい。或いは、電源2は、商用電源2であってもよい。
 アークエネルギー検出装置8の構成は上記の実施形態のものに限らず、変更されてもよい。例えば、図5は、変形例に係る電力供給システム1の構成を示す図である。図5に示すように、アークエネルギー検出装置8は、パワーコンディショナー3と別体であってもよい。
 アークエネルギーを算出するための方法は、上記の実施形態のものに限らず、変更されてもよい。図6は、変形例に係るアークエネルギーを算出するための方法を示す図である。例えば、アークの発生後、アーク判定部23がアークを検出するまでに一定時間がかかる場合がある。その場合、図6に示すように、アークエネルギー算出部24は、アークの発生を判定した時点T2から所定時間ΔT前を、アークの発生時点T1と推定してもよい。
 本発明によれば、ケーブルが断線した場合に発生するアークのエネルギーを精度よく検出することができる。

Claims (12)

  1.  電源に接続されたケーブルが断線した場合に発生するアークのエネルギーを検出するための方法であって、
     前記ケーブルの電流を検出することと、
     前記ケーブルの電圧を検出することと、
     前記アークの発生を判定することと、
     前記アークの発生時点からの前記電圧の減少分を算出することと、
     前記電圧の減少分と前記電流とに基づいて、前記アークのエネルギーを算出すること、
    を備える方法。
  2.  前記アークの発生を判定した時点から所定時間前を、前記アークの発生時点と推定することをさらに備える、
    請求項1に記載の方法。
  3.  前記アークのエネルギーが所定の閾値以上である場合には、前記ケーブルに接続される電力遮断装置を制御して、前記ケーブルへの電力を遮断することをさらに備える、

  7.  前記コンピュータは、前記アークのエネルギーが所定の閾値以上である場合には、前記ケーブルに接続される電力遮断装置を制御して、前記ケーブルへの電力を遮断する、

  8.  前記電源は、ソーラーパネルを含む、
    請求項5に記載の装置。
  9.  電源と、
     前記電源に接続されたケーブルと、
     前記ケーブルに接続されたアークエネルギー検出装置と、
    を備え、
     前記アークエネルギー検出装置は、
      前記ケーブルの電流を検出する電流センサと、
      前記ケーブルの電圧を検出する電圧センサと、
      前記電流と前記電圧とを取得するコンピュータと、
     を含み、
     前記コンピュータは、
      前記アークの発生を判定し、
      前記アークの発生時点からの前記電圧の減少分を算出し、
      前記電圧の減少分と前記電流とに基づいて、前記アークのエネルギーを算出する、
    システム。
  10.  前記コンピュータは、前記アークの発生を判定した時点から所定時間前を、前記アークの発生時点と推定する、
    請求項9に記載のシステム。
  11.  前記ケーブルに接続される電力遮断装置をさらに備え、
     前記コンピュータは、前記アークのエネルギーが所定の閾値以上である場合には、前記電力遮断装置を制御して、前記ケーブルへの電力を遮断する、
    請求項9に記載のシステム。
  12.  前記電源は、ソーラーパネルを含む、
    請求項9に記載のシステム。
