Abstract

燃料電池と、前記燃料電池が発電した電力を充電するバッテリと、前記燃料電池および/または前記バッテリから電力の供給を受けて駆動する駆動装置と、を有し、前記燃料電池の出力電流が、前記バッテリの電圧に依存する燃料電池システムにおいて、前記駆動装置の駆動を制御する制御部と、前記燃料電池が発電を停止した非発電状態から所定の電力量の発電を行う発電状態に切り替わるまでの切り替え時間に基づいて、なまし値を算出する算出部と、を有し、前記制御部は、前記燃料電池が前記発電状態のときに前記駆動装置の出力要求があった場合、及び、前記燃料電池が前記非発電状態のときに前記駆動装置の出力要求があった場合、のどちらの場合にも、前記駆動装置の出力を前記なまし値に基づいて算出した制御値に制御することにより、前記駆動装置の出力の変化を緩やかにするなまし制御を行う。

Description

燃料電池システム
 本開示は、燃料ガスと酸化剤ガスの供給を受けて発電する燃料電池を有する燃料電池システムに関する。
 特許文献1には、燃料ガス系からの燃料ガスの供給を受けて、かつ、酸化剤ガス系からの酸化剤ガスの供給を受けて発電する燃料電池を有する燃料電池システムが開示されている。
特開2022-185247号公報
 DCDCコンバータを有さないDCDCコンバータレスの燃料電池システムでは、燃料電池は、その発電時にバッテリの電圧に応じた成り行き発電を行うが、バッテリのSOC(すなわち、充電率)が高くなると発電を間欠停止する。ここで、駆動装置の要求出力がバッテリのMAX出力(すなわち、最大出力)を超えた場合には、バッテリの出力に加えて燃料電池の出力で駆動装置を駆動させる。しかしながら、このとき、燃料電池が間欠停止状態である場合には、燃料電池が成り行き発電状態に復帰するまでに燃料電池の出力に時間遅れが生じてしまう。すると、燃料電池が成り行き発電状態である場合と、燃料電池が間欠停止状態である場合とで、駆動装置の駆動の挙動に差が生じてしまう。そうすると、燃料電池システムが搭載される車両において、その加速性が安定せず、車両のユーザが不快感を覚えるおそれがある。
 ここで、特許文献1においては、燃料電池が成り行き発電状態であるときと、燃料電池が間欠停止状態であるときとで、駆動装置の駆動の挙動に差を生じることに対する対策については、何ら開示されていない。
 そこで、本開示は上記した課題を解決するためになされたものであり、燃料電池が発電状態のときと非発電状態のときとでの駆動装置の駆動の挙動差を抑制できる燃料電池システムを提供することを目的とする。
 上記課題を解決するためになされた本開示の一形態は、燃料電池と、前記燃料電池が発電した電力を充電するバッテリと、前記燃料電池および/または前記バッテリから電力の供給を受けて駆動する駆動装置と、を有し、前記燃料電池の出力電流が、前記バッテリの電圧に依存する燃料電池システムにおいて、前記駆動装置の駆動を制御する制御部と、前記燃料電池が発電を停止した非発電状態から所定の電力量の発電を行う発電状態に切り替わるまでの切り替え時間に基づいて、なまし値を算出する算出部と、を有し、前記制御部は、前記燃料電池が前記発電状態のときに前記駆動装置の出力要求があった場合、及び、前記燃料電池が前記非発電状態のときに前記駆動装置の出力要求があった場合、のどちらの場合にも、前記駆動装置の出力を前記なまし値に基づいて算出した制御値に制御することにより、前記駆動装置の出力の変化を緩やかにするなまし制御を行うこと、を特徴とする。
 この態様によれば、駆動装置の出力要求があって駆動装置を駆動する場合に、燃料電池が発電状態であるときも、燃料電池が非発電状態であるときも、ともに、駆動装置の出力の変化を、要求される出力の変化よりも緩やかにするなまし制御を行う。これにより、燃料電池が発電状態のときと非発電状態のときとでの駆動装置の駆動の挙動差を抑制できる。そのため、燃料電池の発電の有無に関わらず、燃料電池システムが搭載される車両の加速性が安定して、車両のユーザが不快感を覚えることを防止できる。
 上記の態様においては、前記なまし値は、前記燃料電池が前記非発電状態から前記発電状態へ切り替わる毎に前記切り替え時間に基づいて算出した値の平均値であること、が好ましい。
 この態様によれば、なまし値を、燃料電池が非発電状態から発電状態へ切り替える毎に更新させることができる。そのため、燃料電池の切り替え時間の実際の状況に応じて、燃料電池が発電状態のときと非発電状態のときとでの駆動装置の駆動の挙動差を抑制できる。
 上記の態様においては、前記なまし値は、前記燃料電池システムが搭載される車両のキースイッチがオンになって、最初に前記燃料電池が前記非発電状態から前記発電状態へ切り替わるときの前記切り替え時間に基づいて算出した値であること、が好ましい。
 この態様によれば、なまし値を、車両のキースイッチがオンになる毎に更新させることができる。そのため、燃料電池の切り替え時間の実際の状況に応じて、燃料電池が発電状態のときと非発電状態のときとでの駆動装置の駆動の挙動差を抑制できる。
 本開示の燃料電池システムによれば、燃料電池が発電状態のときと非発電状態のときとでの駆動装置の駆動の挙動差を抑制できる。

 本開示の燃料電池システムの実施形態について説明する。
(燃料電池システムの概略構成について)
 燃料電池システム1は、図1に示すように、FCスタック11と、水素系システム12と、エア系システム13と、冷却系システム14と、制御部15と、算出部16を有する。なお、FCスタック11は、本開示の「燃料電池」の一例である。
 FCスタック11は、燃料ガスと酸化剤ガスの供給を受けて発電する。本実施形態では、燃料ガスは水素ガスであり、酸化剤ガスはエア(すなわち、空気)である。すなわち、FCスタック11は、水素系システム12からの水素ガスの供給と、エア系システム13からのエアの供給を受けて発電を行う。
 FCスタック11で発電された電力は、バッテリ101やモータ102(または、インバータ)に供給される。そして、バッテリ101は、FCスタック11が発電した電力を充電する。また、モータ102は、FCスタック11および/またはバッテリ101から電力の供給を受けて駆動する。なお、モータ102は、本開示の「駆動装置」の一例である。
 水素系システム12は、FCスタック11のアノード側に設けられている。この水素系システム12は、水素ガス充填通路20と水素ガス供給通路21と水素オフガス排出通路22を備えている。
 水素ガス充填通路20は、充填口30から水素ガスを水素タンク31へ充填するための通路である。水素ガス供給通路21は、水素タンク31からFCスタック11へ水素ガスを供給するための通路である。水素オフガス排出通路22は、FCスタック11から発電に使用されなかった水素ガスである水素オフガスが排出される通路である。
 水素系システム12は、水素ガス供給通路21において、水素タンク31側から順に、バルブ32、減圧弁33、インジェクタ34、圧力センサ35を備えている。
 バルブ32は、水素タンク31から水素ガス供給通路21への水素ガスの供給と遮断を切り換えたり、充填口30から水素タンク31への水素ガスの供給と遮断を切り換える弁である。減圧弁33は、水素ガスを減圧するための圧力調整弁である。インジェクタ34は、FCスタック11へ向かって水素ガスを噴射する弁である。圧力センサ35は、インジェクタ34よりも下流側の位置における水素ガスの圧力を検出する機器である。
 また、水素系システム12は、水素オフガス排出通路22において、気液分離器41と排気排水弁42を備えている。
 気液分離器41は、水素オフガス内の水分を分離する機器である。排気排水弁42は、FCスタック11から排出される水素オフガスの外部への排出を制御する弁である。
 エア系システム13は、FCスタック11のカソード側に設けられている。このエア系システム13は、エア供給通路51とエアオフガス排出通路52を備えている。
 エア供給通路51は、燃料電池システム1の外部からFCスタック11にエアを供給するための通路である。エアオフガス排出通路52は、FCスタック11から発電に使用されなかったエアであるエアオフガスが排出される通路である。
 エア系システム13は、エア供給通路51において、エアコンプレッサ61と入口エアバルブ62を備えている。エアコンプレッサ61は、FCスタック11へエアを供給する機器である。入口エアバルブ62は、FCスタック11に供給するエアの流量を制御する弁である。
 また、エア系システム13は、エアオフガス排出通路52において、出口エアバルブ71を備えている。出口エアバルブ71は、FCスタック11からエアオフガス排出通路52へ排出するエアオフガスの流量を制御する弁である。
 冷却系システム14は、FCスタック11を冷却するシステムであり、冷却水通路81と冷却ファン82を備えている。冷却水通路81は冷却水が流れる通路である。また、冷却ファン82は、冷却水通路81を流れる冷却水を冷却する機器である。
 制御部15は、例えば、CPUなどの演算処理部と、CPUで処理される制御プログラム及び制御データ等を記憶するROMや制御処理のための各種作業領域として使用されるRAMなどの記憶部と、入出力インターフェース部とを有する機器である。そして、制御部15は、記憶部に記憶されている制御プログラムに従って、燃料電池システム1の様々な制御を行う。
 具体的には、制御部15は、例えば、エアコンプレッサ61の回転数や、入口エアバルブ62や出口エアバルブ71の開度の開閉制御を行う。また、制御部15は、その他、バルブ32や減圧弁33やインジェクタ34や排気排水弁42や冷却ファン82やモータ102などの制御も行う。さらに、制御部15は、算出部16から後述するなまし値SVの情報を受け取る。
 また、算出部16は、FCスタック11から受け取ったFC応答性時間RTの情報に基づいて、なまし値SVを算出する機器である。なお、FC応答性時間RTやなまし値SVの詳細は後述する。
(燃料電池システムの作用について)
 以上のような構成の燃料電池システム1において、水素系システム12では、水素ガス供給通路21からFCスタック11に供給された水素ガスは、FCスタック11にて発電に使用された後、FCスタック11から水素オフガスとして、水素オフガス排出通路22を介して外部に排出される。また、エア系システム13では、エア供給通路51からFCスタック11に供給されたエアは、FCスタック11にて発電に使用された後、FCスタック11からエアオフガスとして、エアオフガス排出通路52を介して外部に排出される。
(DCDCコンバータレスのシステムについて)
 図1に示すように、本実施形態の燃料電池システム1においては、FCスタック11と、バッテリ101と、モータ102(または、インバータ)とが並列に接続されており、DCDCコンバータを有さない簡素なシステム構成が形成されている。すなわち、燃料電池システム1は、DCDCコンバータレスのシステムである。なお、DCDCコンバータは、FCスタック11の出力電圧(すなわち、発電した電力の電圧)であるFC電圧を変換する機器である。
 このように、本実施形態の燃料電池システム1は、DCDCコンバータレスのシステムであり、FC電圧がバッテリ101の電圧と等しくなる(または、ほぼ等しくなる)ので、FCスタック11の出力電流(すなわち、発電した電力の電流)であるFC電流がバッテリ101の電圧に依存する。また、別の言い方をすれば、燃料電池システム1は、FCスタック11で発電された電力について、FC電圧を変換しないで、バッテリ101やモータ102に供給する。
 そして、燃料電池システム1においては、このようにFC電圧がバッテリ101の電圧と等しくなるので、FCスタック11は、発電時にバッテリ101の電圧に応じた成り行き発電を行う。なお、バッテリ101のSOC(すなわち、充電率)が高くなると、インジェクタ34の出口圧力の減圧制御を行って、または/および、入口エアバルブ62と出口エアバルブ71を閉弁状態にして、FCスタック11の発電を間欠停止にする。
(FCスタックの発電の有無に関わらず車両の加速性を安定化させる対策について)
 DCDCコンバータレスの燃料電池システム1において、FCスタック11は、成り行き発電を行うが、バッテリ101のSOCが高くなると発電を間欠停止する。ここで、モータ102の要求出力がバッテリ101のMAX出力(すなわち、最大出力)を超えた場合には、バッテリ101の出力に加えてFCスタック11の出力でモータ102を駆動させる。
 しかしながら、このとき、FCスタック11が発電を停止した間欠停止状態である場合には、所定の電力量の発電を行う成り行き発電状態に復帰するまでにFCスタック11の出力に時間遅れが生じてしまう。すると、FCスタック11が成り行き発電状態である場合(図7参照)と、FCスタック11が間欠停止状態である場合(図8参照)とで、モータ102の出力の変化(すなわち、応答速度、単位時間当たりの変化量(上昇量))が異なり、モータ102の駆動の挙動に差が生じてしまう。そうすると、燃料電池システム1が搭載される車両において、その加速性が安定せず、車両のユーザ(運転手などの乗客)が不快感を覚えるおそれがある。
 そこで、本実施形態では、FCスタック11の発電の有無に関わらず、燃料電池システム1が搭載される車両の加速性を安定化させる対策を行う。
 具体的には、制御部15は、FCスタック11が成り行き発電状態のときにモータ102の出力要求があった場合、及び、FCスタック11が間欠停止状態のときにモータ102の出力要求があった場合、のどちらの場合にも、モータ102の出力の変化を同等にして、モータ102の挙動差を抑制する制御を行う。なお、成り行き発電状態は、本開示の「発電状態」の一例である。また、間欠停止状態は、本開示の「非発電状態」の一例である。
 より具体的には、図2に示すように、制御部15は、なまし値SVに基づいて算出した制御値にモータ102の出力を制御することにより、モータ102の出力の変化を緩やかにするなまし制御を行う。
 そこで、図2に示す制御の内容について説明する。なお、制御部15は、図2に示す制御のルーチン処理を、例えば、10ms毎に行う。
 図2に示すように、制御部15は、燃料電池システム1が搭載される車両のアクセル開度AOとモータ102の回転数より、例えば2次元マップを用いて、モータ102の要求出力RO1を算出する(ステップS1)。すなわち、制御部15は、アクセル開度AOに基づいて、このアクセル開度AOとモータ102の回転数とモータ102の要求出力RO1の関係を規定した2次元マップ(不図示)を用いて、モータ102の要求出力RO1を算出する。なお、アクセル開度AOは、例えば車両に備わるアクセルポジションセンサAPSから得られるものとする。
 次に、制御部15は、要求出力RO1に対して、なましを考慮して、要求出力RO2を算出する(ステップS2)。
 具体的には、以下の数式を用いて、なまし値SVに基づいて、要求出力RO2の値(すなわち、制御値)を算出する。

 制御値=前回値+(要求値-前回値)/なまし値SV
 なお、数式において、制御値は今回の(図2に示す制御の)ルーチン処理にて算出される要求出力RO2の値であり、前回値は前回のルーチン処理にて算出された要求出力RO2の値であり、要求値は要求出力RO1の値である。
 また、なまし値SVは、例えば図3に示す1次元マップを用いて、FC応答性時間RTに基づいて算出される。ここで、FC応答性時間RTとは、図4に示すように、間欠停止状態にて成り行き発電要求があって、間欠停止状態から成り行き発電状態に切り替わるまでの切り替え時間(すなわち、FCスタック11の出力であるFC出力の立ち上がり時間)である。なお、図3において、なまし値SVは、FC応答性時間RTが長くなるほど、大きくなるように規定されている。
 次に、図2に示すように、制御部15は、要求出力RO1がバッテリ101のMAX出力(すなわち、最大出力、例えば7kW)を超えているか否かを判断する(ステップS3)。
 そして、制御部15は、要求出力RO1がバッテリ101のMAX出力を超えていると判断した場合(ステップS3:YES)には、FCスタック11が間欠停止状態であるか否かを判断する(ステップS4)。
 そして、制御部15は、FCスタック11が間欠停止状態であると判断した場合(ステップS4:YES)には、FCスタック11を間欠停止状態から成り行き発電状態に復帰させるようにする(ステップS5)。
 次に、制御部15は、要求出力RO2をモータ102の出力として要求する(ステップS6)。このようにして、制御部15は、モータ102の出力を、なまし値SVに基づいて算出した要求出力RO2に制御する。
 また、制御部15は、ステップS3において要求出力RO1がバッテリ101のMAX出力以下である場合(ステップS3:NO)や、ステップS4においてFCスタック11が間欠停止状態でない(すなわち、成り行き発電状態である)場合(ステップS4:NO)にも、要求出力RO2をモータ出力として要求する(ステップS6)。
 このように、本実施形態では、制御部15は、FCスタック11が成り行き発電状態のときにモータ102の出力要求があった場合、及び、FCスタック11が間欠停止状態のときにモータ102の出力要求があった場合、のどちらの場合にも、モータ102の出力の変化を緩やかにするなまし制御を行う。
 具体的には、制御部15は、なまし制御として、なまし値SVに基づいて算出した要求出力RO2にモータ102の出力を制御することにより、FCスタック11が成り行き発電状態のときにモータ102の出力要求があった場合(図5参照)、及び、FCスタック11が間欠停止状態のときにモータ102の出力要求があった場合(図6参照)、のどちらの場合にも、モータ102の出力(図中、「実際出力」と表記)の変化を、要求出力RO1の変化よりも、緩やかにする制御を行う。
 これにより、FCスタック11が成り行き発電状態のときと間欠停止状態のときとでのモータ102の駆動の挙動差を抑制できる。そのため、FCスタック11の発電の有無に関わらず、燃料電池システム1が搭載される車両の加速性が安定して、車両のユーザが不快感を覚えることを防止できる。
 また、なまし値SVは、FCスタック11が間欠停止状態から成り行き発電状態へ切り替わる毎にFC応答性時間RTに基づいて算出した値の平均値とすること、が考えられる。
 これにより、なまし値SVを、FCスタック11が間欠停止状態から成り行き発電状態へ切り替える毎に更新させることができる。そのため、FC応答性時間RTの実際の状況に応じて、FCスタック11が成り行き発電状態のときと間欠停止状態のときとでのモータ102の駆動の挙動差を抑制できる。
 また、なまし値SVは、燃料電池システム1が搭載される車両のキースイッチKSがオンになって、最初にFCスタック11が間欠停止状態から成り行き発電状態へ切り替わるときのFC応答性時間RTに基づいて算出した値である、としてもよい。
 これにより、なまし値SVを、車両のキースイッチKSがオンになる毎に更新させることができる。そのため、FC応答性時間RTの実際の状況に応じて、FCスタック11が成り行き発電状態のときと間欠停止状態のときとでのモータ102の駆動の挙動差を抑制できる。
 また、車両のキースイッチKSがオンになってなまし値SVを算出した後、なまし値SVを頻繁に更新させないようにすれば、モータ102の駆動の挙動を安定させて、より効果的に、車両の加速性を安定させることができる。
 なお、上記した実施の形態は単なる例示にすぎず、本開示を何ら限定するものではなく、その要旨を逸脱しない範囲内で種々の改良、変形が可能であることはもちろんである。

Claims (3)

  1.  燃料電池と、前記燃料電池が発電した電力を充電するバッテリと、前記燃料電池および/または前記バッテリから電力の供給を受けて駆動する駆動装置と、を有し、前記燃料電池の出力電流が、前記バッテリの電圧に依存する燃料電池システムにおいて、
     前記駆動装置の駆動を制御する制御部と、
     前記燃料電池が発電を停止した非発電状態から所定の電力量の発電を行う発電状態に切り替わるまでの切り替え時間に基づいて、なまし値を算出する算出部と、を有し、
     前記制御部は、前記燃料電池が前記発電状態のときに前記駆動装置の出力要求があった場合、及び、前記燃料電池が前記非発電状態のときに前記駆動装置の出力要求があった場合、のどちらの場合にも、前記駆動装置の出力を前記なまし値に基づいて算出した制御値に制御することにより、前記駆動装置の出力の変化を緩やかにするなまし制御を行うこと、
     を特徴とする燃料電池システム。
  2.  請求項1の燃料電池システムにおいて、
     前記なまし値は、前記燃料電池が前記非発電状態から前記発電状態へ切り替わる毎に前記切り替え時間に基づいて算出した値の平均値であること、
     を特徴とする燃料電池システム。
  3.  請求項1の燃料電池システムにおいて、
     前記なまし値は、前記燃料電池システムが搭載される車両のキースイッチがオンになって、最初に前記燃料電池が前記非発電状態から前記発電状態へ切り替わるときの前記切り替え時間に基づいて算出した値であること、
     を特徴とする燃料電池システム。
