Since the subject's weight and standing balance are measured, and no other measurement items are measured, the time from start to completion of measurement of the subject's biometric information is shortened.
- the measurement unit 42 may select, from among multiple measurement items related to the subject's biological information, a measurement item that measures weight, a measurement item that measures body composition, and a measurement item that measures standing balance, and measure the subject's biological information. Because the subject's weight, body composition, and standing balance are measured, and no other measurement items are measured, the time from start to completion of measurement of the subject's biological information is shortened.
- FIG 8 is a schematic diagram of the bioinformation measuring device 1 according to an embodiment.
- lighting elements such as LEDs are provided in areas B1 and B2 on the surface of the bioinformation measuring device 1.
- Each lighting element provided in areas B1 and B2 on the surface of the bioinformation measuring device 1 can be turned on, blinking, or turned off. By lighting or blinking each lighting element provided in areas B1 and B2 on the surface of the bioinformation measuring device 1, the subject may be guided to consciously place their left foot on the surface of the bioinformation measuring device 1.
- FIG. 9 is a schematic diagram of a biological information measuring device 1 according to an embodiment.
- the display unit 10 displays at least one measurement item out of a plurality of measurement items related to the subject's biological status, and may also display a graphic to guide the subject in the order in which to place their left and right feet on the surface of the biological information measuring device 1.
- the display unit 10 may also display a message to guide the subject in the order in which to place their left and right feet on the surface of the biological information measuring device 1.
- Electrode 12 is an electrode (first electrode) that can come into contact with the sole of one of the subject's feet (the left foot) and is composed of multiple electrodes.
- Electrode 14 is an electrode that can come into contact with the sole of one of the subject's feet (the left foot) and is composed of multiple electrodes.
- Electrode 13 is an electrode that can come into contact with the sole of the other of the subject's feet (the right foot) and is composed of one electrode.
- Electrode 15 is an electrode (second electrode) that can come into contact with the sole of the other of the subject's feet (the right foot) and is composed of one electrode.
- the number of electrodes (first electrodes) that can come into contact with the sole of one of the subject's feet (the left foot) may be different from the number of electrodes (second electrodes) that can come into contact with the sole of the other of the subject's feet (the right foot).
- first electrodes the number of electrodes
- second electrodes the number of electrodes that can come into contact with the sole of the other of the subject's feet
- the subject may be guided to consciously place their left foot on the surface of the biological information measuring device 1. This allows the subject to consider it preferable to place their left foot first on the surface of the biological information measuring device 1 when measuring weight, body composition, standing balance, and cardiovascular status. This makes it easier for the subject to distinguish the difference between the order in which their feet are placed on the surface of the biological information measuring device 1, leading to increased awareness and habituation of the ability to select what to measure.
- the example shown in FIG. 10 is not limited to this, and the shape of the electrode (first electrode) that can come into contact with the sole of one of the subject's feet (left foot) may be different from the shape of the electrode (second electrode) that can come into contact with the sole of the other of the subject's feet (right foot).
- first electrode first electrode
- second electrode second electrode
- the first electrode by giving the first electrode a distinctive shape, the subject may be guided to consciously place their left foot on the surface of the biological information measuring device 1.
- Measurement items for the subject's biological information may be selected depending on the direction the subject is facing when standing on the surface of the biological information measuring device 1.
- the following rules (2-1) and (2-2) are set in the biological information measuring device 1.
- the following rules (2-1) and (2-2) are merely examples, and other rules may be set in the biological information measuring device 1.
- (2-1) When the subject faces a first direction and stands on the surface of the biological information measuring device 1, the subject's weight is measured.
- the first direction is the direction in which the display unit 10 is arranged.
- the subject's weight, body composition, standing balance, and cardiovascular status are measured.
- the second direction is a direction different from the direction in which the display unit 10 is arranged.
- the display unit 10 is not visible to the subject. Therefore, it is preferable to set the above (2-2) in the biological information measurement device 1.
- the subject may also be aware of the following rules (2-3), (2-4), and (2-5).
- the following rules (2-3), (2-4), and (2-5) are examples, and the subject may also be aware of other rules.

- (2-4) When measuring body weight, body composition, standing balance, and cardiovascular condition, the subject stands on the surface of the biological information measuring device 1 while facing in the second direction.
- (2-5) When the subject stands on the surface of the biological information measuring device 1, the subject first touches the heel of the foot to the surface of the biological information measuring device 1, and then touches the toe of the foot to the surface of the biological information measuring device 1.

- the measurement items for body weight, body composition, standing balance, and cardiovascular condition may be set in the biological information measuring device 1 as the measurement items when the person being measured stands on the surface of the biological information measuring device 1 while facing in a second direction.
- the subject may be guided to consciously place the heel of their left foot on area C3 on the surface of the bioinformation measuring device 1, and the heel of their right foot on area C4 on the surface of the bioinformation measuring device 1. This leads to increased awareness and habituation of the ability to select the measurement target by placing the heel of their left foot first on area C3 on the surface of the bioinformation measuring device 1 and the heel of their right foot first on area C4 on the surface of the bioinformation measuring device 1.
- the direction detection unit 52 may also detect the order in which the subject's right foot comes into contact with areas C1 and C3 on the surface of the biological information measurement device 1, based on the measurement values output from the electrode unit 21. For example, after the resistance value between two electrodes placed in area C1 on the surface of the biological information measurement device 1 is detected, the resistance value between two electrodes placed in area C3 on the surface of the biological information measurement device 1 is detected. In this case, the direction detection unit 52 outputs a detection result indicating that the direction in which the subject is facing when standing on the surface of the biological information measurement device 1 is the second direction.
- electrodes 13 and 15 may function as current application electrodes for applying a constant current to the subject's body, and electrodes 12 and 14 may function as voltage measurement electrodes for measuring the voltage when the current is applied.
- the direction detection unit 52 may detect the order in which the subject's left foot comes into contact with areas C1 and C3 on the surface of the biological information measurement device 1 based on the measurement values output from the first sensor unit 23. Description
