  • the present invention relates to a square steel pipe and its manufacturing method, and to an architectural structure, and in particular to a square steel pipe (square column) manufactured by cold roll forming, which has a low yield ratio, excellent low-temperature toughness, and high ductility.
  • the present invention relates to a square steel pipe that is suitable for use as an architectural structural member for large buildings.
  • the present invention further relates to an architectural structure obtained by using this square steel pipe.
  • Square steel pipes are generally manufactured by cold forming hot-rolled steel sheets (hot-rolled steel strips) or thick steel plates.
  • Cold forming methods include cold press bending and cold roll forming.
  • Square steel pipes (hereinafter sometimes referred to as roll-formed square steel pipes) are manufactured by cold-rolling hot-rolled steel plate to form a cylindrical open pipe, and then electric resistance welding is performed on the butt joint to form a round steel pipe.
  • the round steel pipe is then drawn by a few percent in the axial direction by rolls placed above, below, left and right of the round steel pipe, and then formed into a square shape to produce a square steel pipe.
  • square steel pipes (hereinafter sometimes referred to as press-formed square steel pipes) are manufactured by press-bending the raw material, and thick steel plate is press-bended in the cold to form a square or U-shaped cross-sectional shape. These are then joined by submerged arc welding to produce the pipes.

Description

 なお、結晶方位差および平均結晶粒径は、SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope)/EBSD(ElectronBackscatter Diffraction)法によって測定することが可能である。
