Abstract

最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角まで傾斜角を変化させながら各傾斜角において接触角を測定したデータ1を取得し(ステップS2)、最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角までの間の目的の傾斜角において接触角を測定したデータ2を取得し(ステップS4)、データ1における目的の傾斜角での接触角とデータ2との差分を求め、差分を揮発による接触角への影響としてデータ2を補正する(ステップS5)。

Description

接触角の補正方法
 本開示は、接触角の補正方法に関する。
 撥水撥油材料表面の評価指標の一つとして接触角がある(非特許文献1,2)。接触角は、液滴を固体表面に滴下したときの、液滴と固体表面との接触位置での液体表面と固体表面とのなす角度である。接触角が小さければぬれがよく、親水性が高いことを示す。接触角が大きければぬれが悪く、撥水性が高いことを示す。
 接触角には、液滴がほぼ静止した状態で測定する静的接触角と液滴が斜面を滑落するときに測定する動的接触角がある。動的接触角の測定方法には、液滴を滴下した固体表面を傾けて接触角を測定する滑落法が知られている(非特許文献1)。

 傾斜角を変えながら各傾斜角での接触角を測定する場合に、液滴を滴下してから時間が経過すると、液滴が揮発し、正しい接触角を得ることができないという問題がある。この問題は、特に、測定後半や少量の液滴を使用して接触角を測定する場合に顕著である。
 本開示は、上記に鑑みてなされたものであり、より正確な接触角を取得することを目的とする。
 本開示の一態様の接触角の補正方法は、最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角まで傾斜角を変化させながら各傾斜角において接触角を測定した第1測定値群と、最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角までの間の任意の中間傾斜角において接触角を測定した第2測定値とを取得し、前記第1測定値群における前記中間傾斜角での接触角と前記第2測定値との差分を求め、前記差分を揮発による接触角への影響として前記第1測定値群を補正する。
 本開示によれば、より正確な接触角を取得できる。

 [接触角の補正方法]
 図1のフローチャートを参照し、本実施形態の接触角の補正方法の一例について説明する。以下、単に接触角という場合は、前進接触角、後退接触角、または前進接触角と後退接触角の両方のいずれの意味に捉えてもよい。
 ステップS1にて、評価対象のサンプルに液滴を滴下し、ステップS2にて、サンプルの傾斜角を変えながら、各傾斜角における接触角を測定する。
 図2に、サンプルの傾斜角を変える様子を示す。図2(a)は、液滴200をサンプル100に滴下した後、傾斜角αを最小傾斜角0°から変えていない状態である。図2(b)は、傾斜角αを45°とした状態である。図2(c)は、傾斜角αを最大傾斜角90°とした状態である。例えば、傾斜角αを最小傾斜角0°から最大傾斜角90°まで1°ずつ上げながら、各傾斜角αでの前進接触角θaと後退接触角θrを測定する。前進接触角θaは液滴200が滑落していく方向の接触角であり、後退接触角θrはその反対側の接触角である。非特許文献2に記載の接線法により、液滴200を撮影した画像を用いて、前進接触角θaと後退接触角θrを測定することができる。
 最小傾斜角と最大傾斜角はいずれも任意の値に設定してよい。例えば、30°で液滴が滑落するサンプルの場合、最大傾斜角を30°としてもよい。
 ステップS3にて、評価対象のサンプルに液滴を滴下し、液滴を滴下後、ステップS4にて、速やかにサンプルを目的の傾斜角に設定して接触角を測定する。
 図3に、サンプルを目的の傾斜角に設定した様子を示す。図3の例では、目的の傾斜角を最小傾斜角0°と最大傾斜角90°の中間の角度45°とし、液滴を滴下後、サンプル100の傾斜角αを45°まで速やかに傾けて前進接触角θaと後退接触角θrを測定する。最小傾斜角が0°、最大傾斜角が30°の場合は、目的の傾斜角を15°とする。なお、目的の傾斜角は、最小傾斜角と最大傾斜角の間の角度であれば、最小傾斜角と最大傾斜角の中間の角度でなくてもよい。例えば、最小傾斜角が0°、最大傾斜角が90°の場合、目的の傾斜角を30°や60°としてもよい。
 ステップS1,S2の測定結果をデータ1、ステップS3,S4の測定結果をデータ2と称する。つまり、データ1は、最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角までの各傾斜角における接触角の測定値であり、データ2は、目的の傾斜角における接触角の測定値である。例えば、データ1は、最小傾斜角0°から最大傾斜角90°までの1°刻みの前進接触角の測定値であり、データ2は、傾斜角45°のときの前進接触角の測定値である。
 ステップS5にて、データ1とデータ2から揮発による接触角への影響を求め、接触角の補正値を求める。最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角まで傾斜角を変化させながら接触角を測定したデータ1は、傾斜角が大きくなるほど時間経過が大きくなるため、揮発の影響で本来の値からずれていく。そこで、本実施形態では、液滴を滴下後すぐに目的の傾斜角で接触角を測定したデータ2を取得して揮発の影響を求め、データ1から揮発の影響をキャンセルした接触角の補正値を求める。データ2は、液滴を滴下後すぐにサンプルを目的の傾斜角に設定して接触角を測定するため、揮発の影響を無視できる。データ2の接触角とデータ2を測定した目的の傾斜角におけるデータ1の接触角を比較することで揮発の影響を求めることができる。
 [補正処理]
 図4のフローチャートを参照し、装置による図1のステップS5の補正処理の一例について説明する。ここでは、実施例として、水2μLの液滴をサンプルに滴下し、傾斜角を最小傾斜角0°から最大傾斜角90°まで1°ごとに前進接触角を測定したデータ1と、目的の傾斜角を45°に設定して前進接触角を測定したデータ2とを用いて説明する。データ1の測定時、傾斜角を1°上げた後の待機時間を1000msとした。前進接触角は、傾斜角を変更後1000ms経過後の画像を用いて、非特許文献2に記載の接線法で求めた。
 ステップS51にて、装置は、データ1の近似曲線を求める。図5に、横軸に傾斜角をとり、縦軸に前進接触角をとって、データ1とデータ2の測定値を示す。黒丸はデータ1をプロットしたものであり、白丸はデータ2をプロットしたものである。図6にデータ1の近似曲線を示す。データ1の近似曲線はy=0.0031x2-0.4678x+89.831と求められた。
 ステップS52にて、装置は、データ1とデータ2との差分を求める。具体的には、ステップS51で求めた近似曲線に、データ2を測定した目的の傾斜角を代入して、データ1の目的の傾斜角における前進接触角を求め、求めた前進接触角とデータ2との差分を求める。
 実施例では、目的の傾斜角を45°として測定したデータ2は91°であり、データ1の近似曲線の傾斜角が45°のときの前進接触角は75°であったから、データ1とデータ2の差分は16°と求められた。
 なお、データ1とデータ2の差分を、近似曲線を用いないで、データ1の目的の傾斜角における測定値とデータ2との差分で求めてもよい。
 ステップS53にて、装置は、ステップS52で求めた差分に基づき、最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角までの間の揮発による前進接触角の減少量の推定値を求める。データ1の最小傾斜角の測定値は揮発の影響がなく、揮発による前進接触角の変化量はほぼ無いと考えられる。揮発による前進接触角の減少量は、経過時間に応じて一定量ずつ増加すると考え、差分を目的の傾斜角から最小傾斜角を引いた値で割ることで傾斜角1°増加するごとの揮発による前進接触角の減少量の推定値を求める。
 実施例の場合、最小傾斜角は0°、目的の傾斜角は45°、差分は16°であるから、傾斜角が1°増加するごとの揮発による前進接触角の減少量の推定値は16°/(45°-0°)=0.4°と求められる。ある傾斜角における減少量の推定値は、傾斜角が1°増加するごとの揮発による前進接触角の減少量の推定値に、その傾斜角から最小傾斜角を引いた値をかけて求められる。図7に、横軸に傾斜角をとり、縦軸に前進接触角の減少量の推定値をとって、最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角までの間の揮発による前進接触角の減少量の推定値を示す。
 ステップS54にて、装置は、接触角の補正値を求める。具体的には、装置は、データ1の近似曲線にステップS53で求めた最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角までの間の前進接触角の減少量の推定値を加えて前進接触角の補正値を求める。図8に、データ1の近似曲線に減少量の推定値を加えて得られた前進接触角の補正値を示す。実線は、前進接触角の補正値であり、点線は、データ1の近似曲線である。データ1の測定値に減少量の推定値を加えて接触角の補正値を求めてもよい。
 なお、上記では、前進接触角の補正について説明したが、後退接触角についても同様に補正できる。
 [装置の構成]
 図9を参照し、接触角を補正する補正装置の構成の一例について説明する。同図に示す補正装置10は、入力部11、解析部12、および算出部13を備える。
 入力部11は、データ1およびデータ2を測定するための液滴を撮影した静止画または動画を入力する。データ1を測定するための動画を入力した場合、入力部11は、動画から各傾斜角のフレームを切り出して解析部12へ送信する。入力部11は、データ1を測定するための各傾斜角の静止画を入力してもよい。入力部11がカメラを備えて液滴を撮影してもよい。
 入力部11は、データ1とデータ2を入力してもよい。データ1とデータ2を入力した場合は、解析部12による接触角の測定処理は不要である。
 解析部12は、液滴を撮影した画像を解析して接触角(データ1とデータ2)を求める。解析部12は、画像を表示し、作業者から、接触角を示す線分の入力を受け付けてもよい。
 算出部13は、図4のフローチャートに従って、データ1とデータ2から揮発による接触角への影響を求め、データ1の補正値を求める。
 以上説明したように、本実施形態の接触角の補正方法は、最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角まで傾斜角を変化させながら各傾斜角において接触角を測定したデータ1を取得し、最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角までの間の目的の傾斜角において接触角を測定したデータ2を取得し、データ1における目的の傾斜角での接触角とデータ2との差分を求め、差分を揮発による接触角への影響としてデータ2を補正する。これにより、揮発の影響を考慮し、より正確な接触角を取得できる。
 上記説明した補正装置10には、例えば、図10に示すような、中央演算処理装置(CPU)901と、メモリ902と、ストレージ903と、通信装置904と、入力装置905と、出力装置906とを備える汎用的なコンピュータシステムを用いることができる。このコンピュータシステムにおいて、CPU901がメモリ902上にロードされた所定のプログラムを実行することにより、補正装置10が実現される。このプログラムは磁気ディスク、光ディスク、半導体メモリなどの、コンピュータが読み取り可能な非一時的な記録媒体に記録することも、ネットワークを介して配信することもできる。

Claims (3)

  1.  最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角まで傾斜角を変化させながら各傾斜角において接触角を測定した第1測定値群と、最小傾斜角から最大傾斜角までの間の任意の中間傾斜角において接触角を測定した第2測定値とを取得し、
     前記第1測定値群における前記中間傾斜角での接触角と前記第2測定値との差分を求め、
     前記差分を揮発による接触角への影響として前記第1測定値群を補正する
     接触角の補正方法。
  2.  請求項1に記載の接触角の補正方法であって、
     前記最小傾斜角、前記中間傾斜角、および前記差分から前記第1測定値群における単位傾斜角あたりの揮発による接触角の変化量を求め、
     前記第1測定値群の接触角のそれぞれを各傾斜角に応じた前記接触角の変化量で補正する
     接触角の補正方法。
  3.  請求項1または2に記載の接触角の補正方法であって、
     前記第1測定値群から近似曲線を求め、
     前記中間傾斜角での近似曲線の値と前記第2測定値との差分を求める
     接触角の補正方法。
