Definitions
- the present application relates to the field of energy storage technology, and in particular to an end cover assembly, an energy storage device and an electrical equipment.
- a secondary battery also known as a rechargeable battery or storage battery, refers to a battery that can be used continuously by recharging the active material after the battery is discharged.
- the recyclable nature of secondary batteries has made them gradually become the main power source for electrical equipment.

- the electrical device 300 can be a street lamp or a household appliance, etc.
- the energy conversion device 200 can be a photovoltaic panel, which can convert solar energy into electrical energy during the period of low electricity prices
- the energy storage device 100 is used to store the electrical energy and supply it to street lamps and household appliances for use during the peak electricity prices, or to supply power when the power grid is out of power/power outage.
- the energy storage device 100 may include but is not limited to a single cell, a battery module, a battery pack, a battery system, etc.
- the energy storage device When the energy storage device is a single cell, it may be a cylindrical battery or a square battery.
- the present application provides an energy storage device 100, as shown in FIG1A, comprising an electrode assembly, a housing, and an end cap assembly, wherein the electrode assembly is disposed in the housing, and the end cap assembly is electrically connected to the electrode assembly.
- the end cap assembly is disposed at an opening of the housing and closes the housing.
- An embodiment of the present application provides an end cover assembly for an energy storage device 100, please refer to Figures 2 to 4, including a top cover 11 and a sealing member 12, wherein an injection hole 111 is provided on the top cover 11, and during the manufacturing process of the energy storage device, an injection needle can be used to inject electrolyte into the interior of the energy storage device 100 through the injection hole 111.
- the top cover 11 is made of insulating material, specifically plastic material, such as PP (polypropylene) material.
- the top cover 11 includes an outer surface and an inner surface opposite to each other, and the inner surface is opposite to the electrode assembly of the energy storage device 100.
- the top cover 11 is in the shape of a plate, and the plate surface is generally circular in shape.
- the top cover 11 has a length, a width and a thickness. When describing each structure later, the extension direction of the length of the top cover 11 is the length direction, the extension direction of the width is the width direction, and the extension direction of the thickness is the thickness direction.
- the outer surface and the inner surface are two opposite surfaces in the thickness direction.
- the injection hole 111 passes through the outer surface and the inner surface along the thickness direction.
- the wall surface of the top cover 11 used to enclose the injection hole 111 can be called the inner peripheral wall.
- the inner peripheral wall can include a plurality of connected sub-wall surfaces. It can be understood that the sub-wall surfaces on the inner peripheral wall can be judged by the connection between the two wall surfaces being a non-smooth connection; or the two sub-wall surfaces are the connection of two different surface shapes, such as the connection of a curved surface and a flat surface.
- the injection hole 111 includes a first wall 1111 and a second wall 1112 connected in the circumferential direction, and the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 have an angle, or the angle between the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 is 180° and the surface shapes are different, wherein the angle between the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 refers to the angle in the tangent direction of the connecting point in the cross section.
- first wall surface 1111 and the second wall surface 1112 are sequentially connected in the circumferential direction of the injection hole 111.
- the surface shapes of the first wall surface 1111 and the second wall surface 1112 can be the same or different.
- the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 can both be curved surfaces, and the radius of the first wall 1111 and the radius of the second wall 1112 are different.
- the angle between the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 should be the angle between the corresponding tangents of the two, that is, the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 are tangent to the two at the connection point, and the angle at which the two tangents intersect is the angle mentioned above.
- the injection hole 111 can be formed by the intersection of two circular holes, and the radii of the two circular holes are different.
- One of the holes can be passed through by the injection needle, and the other hole can be used to discharge gas during injection.
- the aperture of the hole for the injection needle to pass through can be larger, and the aperture of the hole used to discharge gas can be smaller. In this way, it can be avoided that the electrolyte splashes out of the injection hole 111 during injection.
- the first wall surface 1111 and the second wall surface 1112 may both be planes, so when the first wall surface 1111 and the second wall surface 1112 have a non-smooth connection, there must be an angle.
- the injection hole 111 must also include other sub-walls for connecting the first wall surface 1111 and the second wall surface 1112.
- the cross section of the injection hole 111 is a triangle, a quadrilateral, a hexagon, or a fan.
- the first wall 1111 or the second wall 1112 is a curved surface. It is understandable that when the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 have different surface shapes, a tangent is made to the curved surface at the connection between the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112, and the angle formed by the obtained tangent and another plane.
- the seal 12 may be made of an insulating material, specifically an elastic plastic material, such as TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber).
- TPU thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer rubber
- the function of the seal 12 is to accommodate and seal the injection hole 111 after the injection is completed. Therefore, the shape of the seal 12 may be the same as the contour shape of the injection hole 111, and the outer wall of the seal 12 may fit the inner circumferential wall of the injection hole 111, thereby ensuring the sealing of the end cap assembly.
- the present application provides a liquid injection hole 111 on the top cover 11, so that during the manufacturing process of the energy storage device 100, an injection needle can be used to inject electrolyte into the interior of the energy storage device through the liquid injection hole 111, and in order to ensure the maximum liquid injection efficiency, the liquid injection needle is generally adapted to the largest cylindrical shape (i.e., the largest inner circle) that the liquid injection hole 111 can extend into; and the liquid injection hole 111 is also designed to have a first wall surface 1111 and a second wall surface 1112 connected in the circumferential direction, and the first wall surface 1111 and the second wall surface 1112 have an angle, so that the liquid injection hole 1111 is The cross-sectional shape of 11 is non-circular; thereby, when the injection hole 111 and the injection needle cooperate, the injection hole 111 has at least a portion of the space not occupied by the injection needle, and during the injection process, the gas generated in the energy storage device 100 can be discharged through the above-mentioned unoccupied space, thereby avoiding the situation in
- the two opposite ends of the first wall 1111 are connected to the second wall 1112, and the two opposite ends of the first wall 1111 have a first angle and a second angle with the second wall 1112 respectively, the first angle ⁇ 1 is 10° ⁇ 1 ⁇ 160°, and the second angle ⁇ 2 is 10° ⁇ 2 ⁇ 160°.
- the first angle ⁇ 1 can be but not limited to 10°, 15°, 25°, 40°, 60°, 100°, 160°;
- the second angle ⁇ 2 can be but not limited to 10°, 15°, 25°, 40°, 60°, 100°, 160°.
- the injection hole 111 in this embodiment is formed by enclosing two curved surfaces, and the specific shape can refer to the above embodiment, which will not be repeated here. Controlling the first angle and the second angle mentioned above within the designed range can reduce the sharp angle of the tangent surface, avoid the difficulty of processing the bare aluminum sheet, and increase the cost; at the same time, it can also avoid the exhaust channel being too narrow and close to the wall of the injection needle, and the gas discharged to the outside is impacted and rolled back into the battery by the high-speed injected electrolyte, reducing the exhaust efficiency.
- the hole formed for exhausting the gas is too small, which is not conducive to exhausting the gas during rapid injection, and the processing is difficult, increasing the manufacturing cost; when the first angle and the second angle mentioned above are too small, the hole formed for exhausting the gas is too large, which is easy to cause splashing of the electrolyte.
- the number of the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 are both multiple, and the multiple first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 are arranged in a circular array, and the two opposite ends of the second wall 1112 are respectively connected to the two adjacent first walls 1111.
- there can be one hole for injection and there can be multiple holes for exhausting gas
- the cross-sectional shape of the injection hole 111 can be a rotationally symmetrical figure.
- the cross-section of the injection hole 111 can be formed by two orthogonal ellipses, or by two orthogonal prisms.
- the injection hole 111 can include an injection area 111A and multiple exhaust areas 111B.
- the injection area 111A is the largest circular area that can be formed on the cross section of the injection hole 111 (the dotted line in Figures 8 and 9 is enclosed as a circle), and the injection area 111A is used for the injection needle to pass through to achieve injection.
- the injection hole 111 may have two first walls 1111 and two second walls 1112.
- the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 each enclose a gas exhaust area 111B, and the gas exhaust area 111B is used to exhaust gas during liquid injection.
- it can be subdivided into the first gas exhaust area 111B1 to the fourth gas exhaust area 111B4, wherein the two first walls 1111 respectively enclose the first gas exhaust area 111B1 and the third gas exhaust area 111B3 relative to each other, and the two second walls 1112 respectively enclose the second gas exhaust area 111B2 and the fourth gas exhaust area 111B4 relative to each other. Therefore, it can be understood that the two opposite ends of the second wall 1112 are respectively connected to the two adjacent first walls 1111.
- any set of the first wall surface 1111 and the second wall surface 1112 enclose one of the exhaust areas 111B, and the exhaust area 111B is used to exhaust gas during injection. Specifically, it can be subdivided into the first exhaust area 111B1 to the fourth exhaust area 111B4, wherein one end of the first wall surface 1111 is connected to the second wall surface 1112 to enclose the first exhaust area 111B1, and the other end of the first wall surface 1111 that is separated from each other can be connected to the second wall surface 1112 that encloses the fourth exhaust area 111B4.
- the cross-section of the injection hole 111 can also be other shapes, and the above embodiment is only an adaptability example through simple explanation.
- the number of exhaust areas 111B can also be two or more, and the cross-sectional shapes of the exhaust areas 111B are not all the same, which is not specifically limited.
- the injection hole 111 can be a rotationally symmetrical structure.
- the injection hole 111 can have multiple areas for gas discharge, thereby increasing the efficiency of gas discharge; at the same time, the rotationally symmetrical structure of the injection hole 111 also makes the volume of gas discharged at each position the same, so that the air pressure around the injection needle is balanced.
- the number of the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 are both two, the two first walls 1111 are arranged opposite to each other in a first direction S, the two second walls 1112 are arranged opposite to each other in a second direction L, and the first direction S and the second direction L intersect; the distance from the first wall 1111 to the rotation center of the circular array is greater than the distance from the second wall 1112 to the rotation center of the circular array.
- first wall surface 1111 and the second wall surface 1112 may have different surface shapes, for example, the first wall surface 1111 may be a curved surface, and the second wall surface 1112 may be a flat surface. Therefore, when there are two first wall surfaces 1111 and two second wall surfaces 1112, the cross-sectional shape of the injection hole 111 may be a rounded rectangle. Furthermore, the distance between the two opposite first wall surfaces 1111 may be greater than the distance between the two opposite second wall surfaces 1112.
- the distance between the two opposite second walls 1112 should not be less than the outer diameter of the injection needle. It can be understood that when the injection hole 111 is in the shape of a rounded rectangle, the minimum distance between the two opposite walls of the injection hole 111 should meet the size of the injection needle, so that the injection needle can be smoothly inserted. Therefore, when the distance between the two opposite first walls 1111 is large, the injection needle can be inserted at any position in the first direction S of the injection hole 111.
- the shape of the injection hole 111 can be a rounded rectangle, the space for the injection needle to be inserted is increased, and the injection needle is allowed to have an error in the first direction S, thereby reducing the operation accuracy during injection.
- the seal 12 has elastic deformation capability, and the degree of deformation of the seal 12 in the first direction S is greater than the degree of deformation of the seal 12 in the second direction L.
- the cross-sectional shape of the sealing member 12 may also be a rounded rectangle, so as to be compatible with the injection hole 111 .
- the seal 12 may be set to be interference fit compared to the injection hole 111, that is, the size of the seal 12 is slightly larger than the size of the injection hole 111. Since the seal 12 has elastic deformation capability, the seal 12 can be fixed to the injection hole 111 by compression during installation, and then expand outwards under the action of its own deformation elastic force, so as to make the sealing of the injection port more reliable.
- the deformation degree of the seal 12 in the first direction S is greater than the deformation degree of the seal 12 in the second direction L
- the interference degree of the seal 12 in the first direction S is greater than the interference degree in the second direction L. Therefore, when the deformation degree of the seal 12 in the first direction S is greater, its own deformation elastic force is greater, and thus the sealing performance in the first direction S is better.
- the deformation degree of the sealing member 12 in the first direction S is greater than the deformation degree in the second direction L, This enables the sealing member 12 to have a larger interference fit in the first direction S.
- the aperture of the injection hole 111 in the first direction S is larger, the sealing effect of the sealing member 12 in the first direction S can be improved.
- the injection hole 111 also includes a third wall 1113, the third wall 1113 is connected to the second wall 1112, the third wall 1113 and the second wall 1112 have an angle, or the angle between the third wall 1113 and the second wall 1112 is 180° and the surface shapes are different, wherein the angle between the third wall 1113 and the second wall 1112 refers to the angle in the tangent direction of the connecting point in the cross section.
- the third wall surface 1113 can be connected to the second wall surface 1112 or the first wall surface 1111 in the circumferential direction of the injection hole 111. It can be understood that since there is no specific positional relationship restriction between the first wall surface 1111 and the second wall surface 1112, the third wall surface 1113 can be connected to either of them. That is, the inner peripheral wall includes at least three sub-wall surfaces connected at an angle. In addition, the surface shapes of the first wall surface 1111, the second wall surface 1112 and the third wall surface 1113 can be the same or not completely the same.
- the first wall 1111, the second wall 1112 and the third wall 1113 can all be curved surfaces, and the radius of the first wall 1111, the radius of the second wall 1112 and the radius of the third wall 1113 are not all the same.
- the injection hole 111 can be formed by the intersection of three circular holes, and the radii of the three circular holes are not all the same.
- One of the holes can be passed through by the injection needle, and the other two holes can be used to discharge gas during injection.
- the aperture of the hole for the injection needle to pass through can be larger, and the aperture of the hole for discharging gas can be smaller.
- the aperture of the hole used to discharge gas can be the same or different. In this way, it can be avoided that the electrolyte splashes out of the injection hole 111 during injection.
- first wall 1111, the second wall 1112 and the third wall 1113 are all planes, the above embodiments can be referred to, and no further description is given here.
- the outer wall of the injection needle can be connected to the first wall 1111, the second wall 1112 and the third wall 1113 respectively.
- At least one of the first wall surface 1111, the second wall surface 1112 and the third wall surface 1113 is a curved surface.
- the cross-sectional shape of the formed injection hole 111 can be a fan shape or other irregular shapes.
- the third wall 1113 By setting the third wall 1113 on the injection hole 111, and connecting the third wall 1113 to the second wall 1112 at an angle, at least one of the three connected walls can fit with the injection needle, which is beneficial for ensuring the adaptation of the injection hole 111 to the injection needle when the injection needle is too large.
- the two opposite ends of the third wall 1113 are respectively connected to the second wall 1112 and the first wall 1111, and have a third angle and a fourth angle
- the third angle ⁇ 1 is 10° ⁇ 1 ⁇ 160°
- the fourth angle ⁇ 2 is 10° ⁇ 2 ⁇ 160°.
- the third angle ⁇ 1 can be, but not limited to, 10°, 15°, 25°, 40°, 60°, 100°, 160°
- the fourth angle ⁇ 2 can be, but not limited to, 10°, 15°, 25°, 40°, 60°, 100°, 160°.
- the injection hole 111 in this embodiment can be surrounded by a total of three sub-walls, and the specific shape of the sub-walls is not limited, and can refer to the above embodiment, and will not be repeated here.
- the sharp angles of the tangent surfaces can be reduced, thereby avoiding difficulties in processing the bare aluminum sheet and increasing costs.
- it can also prevent the exhaust channel from being too narrow and close to the wall of the injection needle, so that the gas discharged to the outside is impacted and rolled back into the battery by the high-speed injected electrolyte, reducing the exhaust efficiency.
- the number of the first wall 1111, the second wall 1112 and the third wall 1113 is multiple, and the multiple first wall 1111, the second wall 1112 and the third wall 1113 are arranged in a circular array.
- the hole for injection can be one, and the hole for exhausting gas can be multiple, and the cross-sectional shape of the injection hole 111 can be a rotationally symmetrical figure.
- the injection hole 111 may include an injection area 111A and a plurality of exhaust areas 111B.
- the injection area 111A is the largest circular area that can be formed on the cross section of the injection hole 111 (the circle enclosed by the dotted line in FIGS. 16 to 18 ). Used for the injection needle to pass through to achieve injection.
- the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 can both be planes, and the third wall 1113 is a curved surface.
- the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 can both be curved surfaces, and the third wall 1113 is also a curved surface (the dotted lines in Figures 16 and 17 enclose the circular injection area 111A).
- the first wall 1111 and the second wall 1112 enclose one of the exhaust areas 111B, and the exhaust area 111B is used to exhaust gas during liquid injection.
- first exhaust area 111B1 can be subdivided into the first exhaust area 111B1 to the fourth exhaust area 111B4, wherein one end of the first wall 1111 is connected to the second wall 1112 to enclose the first exhaust area 111B1, and the other end of the first wall 1111 that is opposite to each other can be connected to the third wall 1113.
- the first wall 1111 and the third wall 1113 may respectively enclose the exhaust area 111B (the circular injection area 111A enclosed by the dotted line in FIG. 18 ). Specifically, it can be subdivided into the first exhaust area 111B1 to the fourth exhaust area 111B4, wherein the two first walls 1111 respectively enclose the first exhaust area 111B1 and the third exhaust area 111B3 relative to each other, and the two third walls 1113 respectively enclose the second exhaust area 111B2 and the fourth exhaust area 111B4 relative to each other. - the radius of curvature of the third wall surface 1113 may be not less than the outer diameter of the injection needle, so that during injection, the third wall surface 1113 may fit with the outer wall of the injection needle.
- the plurality of third walls 1113 may stabilize and reinforce the injection needle, thereby preventing the injection needle from shaking during injection and causing electrolyte splashing.
- the injection hole 111 can be a rotationally symmetrical structure.

- the first wall 1111 and the third wall 1113 can be planes, and there are two of them, the two first walls 1111 are arranged opposite to each other in the first direction S, and the two third walls 1113 are arranged opposite to each other in the second direction L; the second wall 1112 can be a curved surface, and there are four of them, which are respectively located at four opposite corners.
- Other features of the rounded rectangular injection hole 111 can refer to the above embodiment, and will not be repeated here.
- connection point between the first wall surface 1111 and the second wall surface 1112 can be transitioned by chamfering. It can be understood that designing a chamfer at the connection point is to add a curved surface so that the connection point transitions to a circular arc to avoid being too sharp. Therefore, the chamfering transition is to add a chamfered surface R to the first wall surface 1111 and the second wall surface 1112 so that the injection hole 111 has at least three curved surfaces. It can be understood that the chamfered surface R is the second wall surface 1112 in the above embodiment, and the original second wall surface 1112 becomes the third wall surface 1113. For details, please refer to the above embodiment, and no further details will be given here.
- the first wall 1111, the second wall 1112 and the third wall 1113 are all smoothly connected curved surfaces; multiple first walls 1111, multiple second walls 1112 and multiple third walls 1113 enclose a circular injection area 111A and four exhaust areas 111B, and the exhaust areas 111B are rotationally symmetrically arranged on the periphery of the injection area 111A, and the injection area 111A is used for the insertion of the injection needle.
- the injection area 111A is the largest circular area that can be formed on the cross section of the injection hole 111 (the dotted line in FIG8A is a circle), and the injection area 111A is used for the injection needle to pass through to achieve injection.
- the four exhaust areas 111B can be arranged in a circular array with equal spacing.
- the injection hole 111 is provided with four rotationally symmetrical exhaust areas 111B, so that the gas inside the energy storage device 100 can be exhausted from four directions of the injection hole 111 , thereby improving the uniformity of exhaust.
- the four exhaust areas 111B include two first exhaust areas 111B1 and two second exhaust areas 111B2.
- the two first exhaust areas 111B1 are oppositely disposed, and the two second exhaust areas 111B2 are oppositely disposed.
- the projection area of the first exhaust area 111B1 is smaller than the projection area of the second exhaust area 111B2.
- the four exhaust areas 111B may be respectively located in four directions of the liquid injection area 111A, and the two first exhaust areas 111B1 are arranged opposite to each other, and the two second exhaust areas 111B2 are arranged opposite to each other.
- the first exhaust area 111B1 can be arranged relatively in the second direction L, and the second exhaust area 111B2 can be arranged relatively in the first direction S.
- the size of the first exhaust area 111B1 in the second direction L is smaller than the size of the second exhaust area 111B2 in the first direction S. That is, the length of the injection hole 111 in the first direction S is greater than the length in the second direction L.

Description

(1)应用在电网侧储能场景的大型储能集装箱,其可作为电网中优质的有功无功调节电源,实现电能在时间和空间上的负荷匹配,增强可再生能源消纳能力,并在电网系统备用、缓解高峰负荷供电压力和调峰调频方面意义重大;
