- the water contact angle of this substrate was 85.9° (step (A-1)).
- this substrate was subjected to surface treatment by irradiating excimer light with a wavelength of 172 nm.
- the water contact angle of the substrate after surface treatment was 26.6° (step (A-2)). Note that the smaller the water contact angle after surface treatment, the higher the hydrophilicity (OH groups are generated).
- an antifouling coating agent containing perfluoroalkyltrialkoxysilane was applied to the surface-treated substrate and cured to form an antifouling coat layer to obtain an antifouling coat structure (step (A-3). )).
- the water contact angle of this antifouling coat structure was 110°. Note that the larger the contact angle of the antifouling coat structure, the higher the antifouling effect.
- the antifouling coat structure obtained above was subjected to an abrasion test 10,000 times. Thereafter, the water contact angle of the antifouling coat structure was measured again and found to be 95°.
- Example 1 An antifouling coat structure was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the substrate was not subjected to surface treatment by irradiating excimer light with a wavelength of 172 nm (that is, step (A-2) was not performed). The water contact angle of this antifouling coat structure was 89°. Furthermore, this antifouling coat structure was subjected to an abrasion test 10,000 times. Thereafter, the water contact angle of the antifouling coat structure was measured again and found to be 68°.
- Example 2 An aluminum substrate having an alumite film that had not been sealed was prepared (step (B-1-1)). A glass-like coating agent containing tetraalkoxysilane was applied to this substrate and cured to form a glass-like coating layer, thereby obtaining an aluminum substrate having a pore-sealing alumite coating (step (B-1-2)). The water contact angle of this substrate was 71.0°. Next, this substrate was subjected to surface treatment by irradiating excimer light with a wavelength of 172 nm. The water contact angle of the substrate after surface treatment was 12.5° (step (B-2)).
- an antifouling coating agent containing perfluoroalkyltrialkoxysilane was applied to the surface-treated substrate and cured to form an antifouling coat layer to obtain an antifouling coat structure (step (B-3). )).
- the water contact angle of this antifouling coat structure was 115°.
- the antifouling coat structure obtained above was subjected to an abrasion test 10,000 times. Thereafter, the water contact angle of the antifouling coat structure was measured again and found to be 115°.
- Example 2 An antifouling coating structure was obtained in the same manner as in Example 2, except that the surface treatment by irradiation with excimer light having a wavelength of 172 nm was not performed on the substrate (i.e., step (B-2) was not performed).
- the water contact angle of this antifouling coating structure was 105°.
- a wear test was performed 10,000 times on this antifouling coating structure. Thereafter, the water contact angle of the antifouling coating structure was measured again and was found to be 98°.
- the water contact angle of the original alumite coating was 85.9°, whereas the water contact angle of the antifouling coat structure obtained in Example 1 was 110°. From this, it can be seen that the antifouling coat layer of the antifouling coat structure of Example 1 is well formed. Furthermore, the water contact angle of the antifouling coat structure of Example 1 was still as high as 95° even after the 10,000-times abrasion test, which suggests that the antifouling coat layer has high durability. These results are considered to be due to the fact that OH groups were generated on the surface of the alumite film by the surface treatment by excimer light irradiation, which increased the adhesion with the antifouling coating layer.
- the water contact angle of the antifouling coat structure obtained in Comparative Example 1 was 89.0°, which was not much different from the water contact angle of the original alumite coating, which was 85.9°. This shows that the antifouling coat layer cannot be formed well if the surface treatment in step (A-2) is not performed. Furthermore, in the antifouling coating structure of Comparative Example 1, the water contact angle was 68° after the 10,000-time abrasion test, which was lower than the water contact angle of 85.9° for the original alumite coating. is also considered to be insufficient.
- the water contact angle of the original sealing alumite coating was 71.0°
- the water contact angle of the antifouling coat structure obtained in Example 2 was 115°. It can be seen that in the antifouling coat structure of Example 2, the antifouling coat layer is well formed. Further, the antifouling coat structure of Example 2 had a water contact angle of 115° even after the 10,000-times abrasion test, which was the same as before the test. From this, it became clear that the antifouling coat structure of the second aspect of the present invention has extremely high durability.
- the water contact angle of the antifouling coat structure obtained in Comparative Example 2 was 105°, and the water contact angle decreased to 98° after 10,000 wear tests. From these facts, if the coat layer (glass-like coat layer) is subjected to surface treatment as in Example 2, the antifouling coat layer can be formed better, and an antifouling coat structure with higher durability can be obtained. It became clear that
