Description
本開示は、捕収剤および浮遊選鉱方法に関する。
従来から、鉱石に含まれる鉱物を回収する浮遊選鉱が知られている。
例えば、特許文献1には、下記式(100)で表される浮遊選鉱の捕収剤が記載されている。式(100)において、R100およびR101は、それぞれ独立して、水素、炭素数1以上12以下のアルキル基、炭素数5以上12以下のシクロアルキル基、または炭素数6以上12以下の芳香族炭化水素基である。また、R100およびR101は、ヒドロキシ基、炭素数1以上12以下のアルコキシ基、またはハロゲンで置換されていてもよい。また、R100およびR101の両方が水素である場合は含まない。
また、特許文献2には、下記式(101)で表される非硫化鉱物の活性化剤が記載されている。式(101)において、R102は、CnH2n+1で表され、nは0以上4以下の整数である。
しかしながら、上記特許文献に記載されている物質を用いる銅の浮遊選鉱では、銅の回収量が不十分である。そのため、対象鉱物の回収量を増加させる捕収剤が求められている。
本開示の目的は、対象鉱物の回収量を増加させる化合物を含む捕収剤、およびこの化合物を用いた浮遊選鉱方法を提供することである。

本開示によれば、対象鉱物の回収量を増加させる化合物を含む捕収剤、およびこの化合物を用いた浮遊選鉱方法を提供することができる。
以下、実施形態に基づき詳細に説明する。
本発明者らは、鋭意研究を重ねた結果、従来の捕収剤に比べて、環状チオアミド化合物を含む捕収剤が対象鉱物の回収量を増加することを見出した。本開示は、かかる知見に基づいて完成させるに至った。
まず、本開示の一実施形態の捕収剤について説明する。
本実施形態の捕収剤は、下記式(1)で表される化合物を含む捕収剤である。
上記式(1)中、R1は、炭素数3以上8以下のアルキレン基である。また、R1において、アルキレン基中の水素原子の少なくとも1つが、ハロゲン原子、炭素数1以上12以下のヒドロカルビル基、炭素数1以上12以下のヒドロカルビルオキシ基、および炭素数6以上12以下のアシルオキシ基からなる群より選択される1種以上の置換基で置換されていてもよく、置換基が互いに結合していてもよい。R2は、水素原子または炭素数1以上16以下の直鎖状もしくは分岐状のアルキル基である。
環状チオアミド化合物である式(1)の化合物において、R1におけるアルキレン基中の複数の水素原子が上記置換基で置換されている場合、複数の置換基は、同じ種類でもよいし、異なる種類でもよい。また、アルキレン基中の複数の水素原子が上記置換基で置換されている場合、複数の置換基は互いに結合していてもよい。
鉱物の回収量を向上する観点から、R1のアルキレン基の炭素数は、3以上であり、好ましくは4以上、より好ましくは5以上である。また、同様の観点から、R1のアルキレン基の炭素数は、8以下であり、好ましくは7以下、より好ましくは6以下である。
鉱物の回収量を向上する観点から、R2のアルキル基の炭素数は、3以上であり、好ましくは4以上、より好ましくは6以上である。また、同様の観点から、R2のアルキル基の炭素数は、16以下であり、好ましくは15以下、より好ましくは14以下、さらに好ましくは12以下である。
なかでも、鉱物の回収量に優れている点で、式(1)の化合物は下記式(2)または下記式(3)で表される化合物であることが好ましく、製造コストが低く、容易に製造できる点で、式(1)の化合物は下記式(3)で表される化合物であることが好ましい。
また、鉱物の回収量を向上する観点から、式(1)で表される化合物が下記式(4)で表される化合物であることが好ましい。
上記式(4)中、R3は、炭素数3以上8以下のアルキレン基である。また、R3において、アルキレン基中の水素原子の少なくとも1つが、炭素数1以上12以下のヒドロカルビル基で置換されている。また、式(4)のR2は、上記式(1)と同様に、水素原子または炭素数1以上16以下の直鎖状もしくは分岐状のアルキル基である。
上記の式(1)で表される化合物は、従来の捕収剤に比べて、対象鉱物の回収量を増加でき、特に複数種の金属を含む複数種の鉱物や、複数種の銅鉱物の回収量を増加できる。そのため、式(1)で表される化合物を含む捕収剤は、鉱物の回収量、特に複数種の金属を含む複数種の鉱物や複数種の銅鉱物の回収量を向上できる。対象鉱物とは、Cu、Au、Zn、Pb、Pt、Pd、Rh、NiおよびCoからなる群より選択される1種以上の金属を含む1種以上の鉱物であり、好ましくは1種以上の銅鉱物である。このような本実施形態の捕収剤は、浮遊選鉱に好適に用いられる。
また、上記の式(1)で表される化合物を含む捕収剤は、Cu、Au、Zn、Pb、Pt、Pd、Rh、NiおよびCoからなる群より選択される1種以上の金属を含む1種以上の鉱物を浮遊選鉱する捕収剤であることが好ましく、Cu、Au、ZnおよびPbからなる群より選択される1種以上の金属を含む1種以上の鉱物を浮遊選鉱する捕収剤であることがより好ましく、1種以上の銅鉱物を浮遊選鉱する捕収剤であることがさらに好ましい。浮遊選鉱において、式(1)で表される化合物は、特に上記の金属を含む鉱物の回収量を向上できる。そのため、式(1)で表される化合物を含む捕収剤を上記捕収剤に用いると、1種以上の鉱物の回収量を増加できる。
本実施形態の捕収剤の形態は、浮遊選鉱のプロセスに応じて、適宜選択できる。例えば、鉱石スラリーに対して、捕収剤を添加する場合、本実施形態の捕収剤には、式(1)で表される化合物に加えて起泡剤が含まれていてもよい。また、必要に応じて、本実施形態の捕収剤は、抑制剤などの各種添加剤を含有してもよい。
次に、本開示の一実施形態の浮遊選鉱方法について説明する。
本実施形態の浮遊選鉱方法は、鉱石スラリーに対して上記式(1)で表される化合物および起泡剤を添加し、1種以上の鉱物を鉱石スラリー中に浮遊させて回収する。また、浮遊選鉱方法では、上記の式(1)で表される化合物および起泡剤に加えて、抑制剤などの各種添加剤を鉱石スラリーに添加してもよい。
浮遊選鉱方法では、鉱石スラリーに対して式(1)で表される化合物および起泡剤を添加し、式(1)で表される化合物で捕収した1種以上の鉱物が、起泡剤によって発生した泡と共に、鉱石スラリーの液面に浮遊する。そして、鉱物を含む泡沫層を鉱石スラリーから回収することによって、鉱石スラリーから金属を回収できる。
浮遊選鉱方法で用いられる鉱石スラリーは、所望の鉱物を含む鉱石を粉砕した粉砕物を水などの液体に混合して得られる。また、起泡剤は、溶媒に溶けて溶液の泡を安定化する物質である。起泡剤は、従来の浮遊選鉱で用いられる起泡剤を用いることができる。具体的な物質としては、特に限定されないが、メチルイソブチルカルビノール(MIBC)、パイン油、Aerof roth70(CYTEC)等が挙げられる。起泡剤の量は、0.001g/t以上2000g/t以下(鉱石1000kgに対して、0.001g以上2000g以下)であることが好ましい。起泡剤の量が0.001g/t以上であると、浮鉱を得られやすく、起泡剤の量が2000g/t超であると、起泡剤添加の効果が頭打ちになることがある。また、浮遊選鉱方法では、式(1)で表される化合物および起泡剤を添加した鉱石スラリーをバブリングしてもよい。
上記で説明したように、式(1)で表される化合物は、鉱物の回収量、特に複数種の鉱物の回収量を向上できる。そのため、従来の捕収剤に比べて、式(1)で表される化合物を用いる本実施形態の浮遊選鉱方法では、多くの量の鉱物を鉱石スラリーの液面に浮遊できるため、鉱石スラリーから回収する鉱物の回収量を増加できる。
また、本実施形態の浮遊選鉱方法では、鉱石スラリーは、Cu、Au、Zn、Pb、Pt、Pd、Rh、NiおよびCoからなる群より選択される1種以上の金属を含む1種以上の鉱物を含有する鉱石のスラリーであることが好ましく、Cu、Au、ZnおよびPbからなる群より選択される1種以上の金属を含む1種以上の鉱物を含有する鉱石のスラリーであることがより好ましく、1種以上の銅鉱物を含有する鉱石のスラリーであることがさらに好ましい。
上記で説明したように、式(1)で表される化合物は、特に上記の金属を含む鉱物の回収量を向上できる。そのため、本実施形態の浮遊選鉱方法において、上記1種以上の金属を含む1種以上の鉱物を浮遊選鉱すると、上記1種以上の鉱物の回収量を増加できる。
また、浮遊選鉱方法において、式(1)で表される化合物の添加量は、鉱石1000kgに対して、0.1g以上1000g以下であることが好ましく、10g以上300g以下であることがより好ましく、50g以上300g以下であることがさらに好ましい。式(1)で表される化合物の上記添加量が0.1g以上であると、対象鉱物の回収量を十分に増加できる。式(1)で表される化合物の上記添加量が1000g以下であると、式(1)で表される化合物のコストを削減できる。
また、浮遊選鉱方法において、鉱石スラリーのpHは、6以上12以下であることが好ましく、8以上12以下であることがより好ましい。鉱石スラリーのpHが上記範囲内であると、鉱物の回収量をさらに増加できる。
以上説明した実施形態によれば、式(1)で表される化合物を含む捕収剤を用いることで、対象鉱物の回収量を増加することができる。そのため、浮遊選鉱において、所望の鉱物の回収量を増加することができる。
次に、実施例および比較例について説明するが、本開示はこれら実施例に限定されるものではない。
(実施例1-1)
表1に示すように、式(2)で表される化合物(東京化成工業株式会社製)を用いて、黄銅鉱の浮遊選鉱を行った。

浮遊選鉱は、以下の手順で行った。まず、粒度75μm以下に粉砕した図1に示すX線回折パターンを示す黄銅鉱の粉砕物のスラリーを水酸化ナトリウムでpH9に調整し、黄銅鉱1000kgあたり、式(2)で表される化合物を100gおよび起泡剤(メチルイソブチルカルビノール(MIBC))を200g添加した。使用した黄銅鉱のCu品位は30.2%、Fe品位は28.8%であった。スラリー中の黄銅鉱粉砕物の量は100g、水量は800mLとした。そして、アジテア型浮選機(カマタ技研製、円筒型アジテア型浮選機AGR-1L)を用いて回転数2000rpmで10分間の浮遊選鉱を行い、浮鉱と尾鉱を得た。得られた浮鉱と尾鉱のCu品位を測定し、次の式(A)を基にしてCuの回収率を算出した。浮鉱とは、浮遊選鉱において浮遊した鉱石であり、尾鉱とは、浮遊選鉱において浮遊しなかった鉱石である。また、同様に、得られた浮鉱と尾鉱のFe品位を測定し、Feの回収率を算出した。

式(3)で表される化合物は次のようにして合成した。まず、窒素ガス気流下で、3つ口フラスコ(200mL)にω-ヘプタラクタム(東京化成工業株式会社製)を1.9g(15mmol)とトルエンを25mL加えて、次いでローソン試薬を3.0g(7.5mmol)加えた後、80℃で3時間攪拌した。反応溶液を濃縮して、粗生成物を黄色固体として得た。粗生成物をシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィーで精製して、式(3)で表される化合物を白色固体として1.1g(収率50%)得た。
(比較例1-1)
式(2)で表される化合物の代わりにPAX(Cytec Industries、Potassium Amyl Xanthate カリウムアミルザンセート)を用いたこと以外は実施例1-1と同様にして、黄銅鉱の浮遊選鉱を行った。

式(11)で表される化合物は次のようにして合成した。まず、窒素ガス気流下で、4つ口フラスコ(500mL)にN-エチルプロピオンアミド(東京化成工業株式会社製)を3.0g(30mmol)とトルエンを300mL加えて、次いでローソン試薬を12.0g(30mmol)加えた後、120℃で30分間還流した。反応溶液を氷水水浴下で1時間攪拌した後、析出物を濾過して除いた。ろ液を濃縮して、粗生成物を黄色油状物と白色固体の混合物として2.4g得た。粗生成物をシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィーで精製して、式(11)で表される化合物を無色油状物として1.1g(収率31%)得た。
(比較例1-4)
式(2)で表される化合物の代わりに式(12)で表される化合物(東京化成工業株式会社製)を用いたこと以外は実施例1-1と同様にして、黄銅鉱の浮遊選鉱を行った。

表1に示すように、実施例1-1~2では、比較例1-1~4に比べて、Cuの回収率が増加した。
(実施例2-1~2および比較例2-1)
表2に示すように、各化合物を用い、黄銅鉱1000kgあたり各化合物を50g添加したこと以外は実施例1-1~2または比較例2-1と同様にして、浮遊選鉱を行った。

(実施例3-1)
表3に示すように、実施例1-1で用いた式(2)の化合物を用いて、硫化銅鉱石の浮遊選鉱を行った。

浮遊選鉱は、以下の手順で行った。まず、粒度75μm以下に粉砕した図2に示すX線回折パターンを示す硫化銅鉱石の粉砕物のスラリーを水酸化ナトリウムでpH9に調整し、鉱石1000kgあたり、式(2)で表される化合物を100gおよび起泡剤(メチルイソブチルカルビノール(MIBC))を200g添加した。使用した鉱石のCu品位は1.5%、Fe品位は3.4%であった。スラリー中の鉱石粉砕物の量は100g、水量は800mLとした。そして、アジテア型浮選機(カマタ技研製、円筒型アジテア型浮選機AGR-1L)を用いて回転数2000rpmで10分間の浮遊選鉱を行い、浮鉱と尾鉱を得た。得られた浮鉱と尾鉱のCu品位を測定し、Cuの回収率を算出した。また、同様に、得られた浮鉱と尾鉱のFe品位を測定し、Feの回収率を算出した。
(実施例3-2)
式(2)で表される化合物の代わりに式(3)で表される化合物を用いたこと以外は実施例3-1と同様にして、硫化銅鉱石の浮遊選鉱を行った。式(3)で表される化合物は、実施例1-2と同様に合成した。
式(2)で表される化合物の代わりに式(3)で表される化合物を用いたこと以外は実施例3-1と同様にして、硫化銅鉱石の浮遊選鉱を行った。式(3)で表される化合物は、実施例1-2と同様に合成した。
表3に示すように、硫化銅鉱石の浮遊選鉱についても、Cuの回収率は良好であった。
(実施例4-1)
表4に示すように、式(2)で表される化合物を用いて、黄銅鉱の浮遊選鉱を行った。

浮遊選鉱は、以下の手順で行った。まず、粒度75μm以下に粉砕した黄銅鉱の粉砕物のスラリーを、黄銅鉱1000kgあたり、式(2)で表される化合物を100gおよび起泡剤(メチルイソブチルカルビノール(MIBC))を200g添加して調製した。使用した黄銅鉱のCu品位は30.5%であった。スラリー中の黄銅鉱粉砕物の量は5g、水量は100mLとした。そして、図3に示す簡易浮選試験機1(ハリモンドチューブ)にスラリーを投入した。
次いで、簡易浮選試験機1を構成する管2の下方から栓4を介してスラリー10に窒素20を導入し、気泡11を発生させて、浮選処理による分離を行った。具体的には、高疎水性粒子12であるヒ素含有銅鉱物の粒子の多くは、気泡11に付着して浮上し、浮上した気泡11は上方で破裂し、管2に接続している管3内に沈降し、堆積した(浮鉱A、フロス)。一方で、気泡11に付着しなかった粒子は、管2内で滞留した(尾鉱B、テーリング)。
そして、10分間の浮遊選鉱を行い、浮鉱と尾鉱を得た。得られた浮鉱と尾鉱のCu品位を測定し、上記式(A)を基にしてCuの回収率を算出した。
(実施例4-2)
式(2)で表される化合物の代わりに式(13)で表される化合物を用いたこと以外は実施例4-1と同様にして、黄銅鉱の浮遊選鉱を行った。

Claims (8)
- R1は、炭素数5以上6以下のアルキレン基である、請求項1に記載の捕収剤。
- 前記捕収剤は、Cu、Au、Zn、Pb、Pt、Pd、Rh、NiおよびCoからなる群より選択される1種以上の金属を含む1種以上の鉱物を浮遊選鉱する捕収剤である、請求項1~3のいずれか1項に記載の捕収剤。
- 前記鉱石スラリーは、Cu、Au、Zn、Pb、Pt、Pd、Rh、NiおよびCoからなる群より選択される1種以上の金属を含む1種以上の鉱物を含有する鉱石のスラリーである、請求項5に記載の浮遊選鉱方法。
- 前記式(1)で表される化合物の添加量は、鉱石1000kgに対して、0.1g以上1000g以下である、請求項5または6に記載の浮遊選鉱方法。
- 前記鉱石スラリーのpHは6以上12以下である、請求項5または6に記載の浮遊選鉱方法。
