Definitions
- the present invention prevents decay in products containing water and products that do not contain water (cosmetic pact) used for clothing, dishes, cleaning or fragrance products for living spaces, wet tissues, shampoo, cosmetics (cream, lipstick, etc.) It relates to an antibacterial and preservative composition for maintaining physical properties and a product containing the same.
- Antibacterial agents are essential for all products containing water because it is easy for microorganisms to propagate. Antimicrobial agents are agents that inhibit or kill the growth of bacteria.
- detergent products containing a lot of water necessarily include a preservative that prevents the growth and decay of microorganisms and an antibacterial agent that removes contaminant microorganisms in order to maintain quality for a long time.
- These products have a very long shelf life, are very likely to come into contact with microorganisms in their use and storage methods, and are formulated with various carbon and nitrogen sources and have a high content of moisture essential for microbial growth, so antimicrobial components are essential. .
- Methylisothiazolinone, Chloromethylisothiazolinone, and benzene are still toxic chemicals in clothes, dishes, household cleaning or scent products, wet tissues, shampoo, cosmetics (cream, lipstick, etc.)
- Isothiazolinone-based ingredients such as isothiazolinone (1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one) are used for preservation purposes.
- Isothiazolinone-based ingredients which are toxic chemicals, are most widely applied because they are economical and highly effective, but regulations are expanding because they can act as carcinogens.
- antibacterial agents can affect public health
- regulations for each product group are being strengthened in Korea.
- the movement to strengthen antimicrobial regulations is accelerating, such as wet wipes being included as other sanitary products under the Sanitary Product Management Act, and related laws and regulations being strengthened, such as the designation of usable raw materials for kitchen detergents by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, but improper use of antibacterial agents As a result, the use of highly safe and excellent antibacterial agents is being narrowed down.

- the antibacterial activity of the test solution was measured using a broth dilution method.
- the treatment concentration of the test solution was diluted from the highest concentration of 5% to the lowest concentration of 0.0001%. After culturing the test solution and the strain together, the turbidity of the tube was checked. At this time, the concentration of the test solution in the tube where no bacterial growth is seen among the tubes treated with the test solution by concentration compared to the degree of turbidity seen in the tube inoculated with only the strain without the test solution being treated in the medium is the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC). decided After the first test as above, the treatment concentration of the test solution was further subdivided and a two-way test was conducted to obtain an accurate minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC).
- MIC minimum inhibitory concentration
- Test strains E. coli , S. aureus, and P. aeruginosa were inoculated into Tryptic Soy Broth and incubated at 35 ⁇ 2°C for 16-24 hours.
- C. albicans was inoculated into Sabouraud Dextrose Broth and cultured at 35°C for 24 hours.
- A. niger was smeared on Potato dextrose agar and cultured at (25 ⁇ 1) ° C for 7 days, and sterile physiological saline was dispensed on the solid medium in which the bacteria grew, and spores were removed using a spreader, and then diluted in sterile physiological saline.
- the antibacterial and preservative compositions of Preparation Examples 1 to 23 were dissolved in dipropylene glycol and used as a test solution.
- Comparative Examples 1 to 24 were used as comparative solutions.
- a liquid medium was put into the tube, and the treatment concentration of the test solution was diluted from the highest concentration of 5% to the lowest concentration of 0.0001%.
- Tryptic Soy Broth was used for E. coli, S. aureus, and P. aeruginosa (bacteria), and Sabouraud Dextrose Broth was used for C. albicans and A. niger (fungi).
- the strain concentration in the test tube was inoculated to 1X10 5 CFU/mL.
- the tubes treated with the test solution were incubated at 35 ⁇ 2°C for 16-24 hours.
- C. albicans and A. niger were inoculated so that the strain concentration in the test tube was 1X10 4 CFU/mL.
- C. albicans was cultured at 35°C for 24-48 hours and A. niger was cultured at 25°C for 46-50 hours.
- a medium tube without the bacterial solution was used as a negative control, and a tube inoculated with only the bacterial solution in the medium without the test solution was used as a growth control.
- the MIC of the test bacteria for the solvent was confirmed by making the solvent the same as the test conditions of the sample.
- test results are shown in [Table 1] to [Table 32], and as evaluated through the test results, the antibacterial and preservative composition of the present invention, cosmetics including the antibacterial and preservative composition of the present invention, hygiene products, household chemicals It was found that the product compositions effectively control bacteria, mold, and yeast.
