- Rigid polyurethane foam is one of the most popular insulators in terms of industrial and thermal insulation.
- the insulation material is the most vulnerable to fire and heat among building materials, there is a growing voice that the standards for quasi-incombustibility (flame retardancy, harmful gas reduction) of the insulation material should be strengthened to prevent the spread of fire in the event of a fire.
- the heat release amount of the core material itself excluding the face material (Al-GF film, etc.) surrounding the core material (hard polyurethane foam, etc.), must satisfy the quasi-incombustibility evaluation criteria.
- existing rigid urethane foams cannot obtain a heat release amount that satisfies the semi-incombustible evaluation criteria.
