Definitions

  • Combers are used to comb out unwanted (short) fibers from a number of slivers and to feed the combed slivers thus obtained to a common drafting system. There, the slivers are stretched together so that a single sliver with predetermined properties is produced, which is usually deposited in a can.
  • these machines can be matched to textile machines downstream in the production chain, such as roving frames and spinning machines, but this is done on the combing machines themselves.
  • sliver breaks very often occur in the downstream textile machines. Although this is automatically eliminated, particularly in spinning machines, the frequency of such breaks may be of interest in order to be able to draw conclusions about the quality of the fiber material to be drawn, the drafting unit settings of the respective combing machine and the like.
  • each machine In order to monitor combers, each machine must be monitored individually. There is a display and operating terminal on each comber for this purpose. This is particularly necessary in order to be able to stop the combing machine if, for example, a fault has occurred or empty tape cores have to be exchanged for tape cores, i.e. cores provided with windings, and to be able to restart when a fault has been eliminated or the new one Fiber material can be processed.
  • a person always has to go to the terminal if they want to know which parameters are set, the state of the combing machine and/or the processing stage it is in. In particular, it is known to be able to display operating parameters of such a combing machine by means of buttons generated by software on such a terminal with integrated, simulated light point strips.

  • Brightness control can be applied anywhere.
  • the invention can also be applied to all other textile machines with a drafting system with regard to the lighting scenarios that only relate to the drafting system, ie in particular to drawframes, tape winders, roving frames and spinning machines. All light scenarios can be applied to the lights 10 relating to the individual combing heads. i.e. the lamp 10 on the drafting system hood 4 can then display states, parameters and processes relating to the entire combing machine 1 and/or the drafting system, while the other lamps 10 display states, parameters and processes relating to the respective combing head.
