Abstract
The invention relates to a system for providing thermal energy, the system comprising a first thermal energy store, a second thermal energy store, a heat pump and a controller, wherein the first energy store and the second energy store each comprise an energy-storing component in the ground, and wherein the first energy store is thermally insulated from the second energy store, wherein the heat pump can be selectively coupled to the first energy store and the second energy store, and wherein the controller is configured to operate the heat pump in order to transmit heat from a first heat transfer circuit, which is coupled to the second energy store, to the first energy store.
