第2実施形態に係る細径ビーム生成装置1aは、図6に示すように、入射面S1が凹アキシコン面であり、出射面S2が非球面である一体のレンズ6を有する。上記以外の細径ビーム生成装置1aの構成は、第1実施形態と同様である。即ち、入射面S1に対しては、第1実施形態と同様の光源及びコリメータ光学系により生成された平行光が入射する。本実施形態において、レンズ6は線光源生成手段と集光部としての機能を兼ねる。また、レンズ6により生成される線光源L1はレンズ6よりも入射側に生成される虚像である。本実施形態においても、線光源L1の光軸X上の中心位置Cは、集光部としての出射面S2の焦点位置Fよりも、出射面S2から離れた位置に配置される。これにより、細径ビームL2が発散することなく、所定の大きさ以下の径を有する細径ビームL2を生成することができる。
図6は、第2実施形態に係る細径ビーム生成装置1aの構成を示すと共に、細径ビーム生成装置1aを用いて、光学設計ソフトウェアZEMAX(登録商標)(ZEMAX Development Corporation社製)を使用し、光学シミュレーションを行った条件を示す図である。
<細径ビーム生成装置の構成>
第3実施形態に係る細径ビーム生成装置1bは、図10に示すように、凸型アキシコン鏡4aと、放物面鏡5aと、を有する。上記以外の細径ビーム生成装置1bの構成は、第1実施形態と同様である。即ち、凸型アキシコン鏡4aに対しては、第1実施形態と同様の光源及びコリメータ光学系により生成された平行光が入射する。放物面鏡5aには、凸型アキシコン鏡4aにより反射された光が入射する。本実施形態において、凸型アキシコン鏡4aは線光源生成手段であり、放物面鏡5aは、ビーム整形手段における集光部である。本実施形態において、凸型アキシコン鏡4aにより生成される線光源L1は、凸型アキシコン鏡4aの反射光とは逆側に生成される虚像である。本実施形態においても、線光源L1の光軸X上の中心位置Cは、集光部としての放物面鏡5aの焦点位置Fよりも、放物面鏡5aから離れた位置に配置される。これにより、細径ビームL2が発散することなく、所定の大きさ以下の径を有する細径ビームL2を生成することができる。
図10は、第3実施形態に係る細径ビーム生成装置1bの構成を示すと共に、細径ビーム生成装置1aを用いて、光学設計ソフトウェアZEMAX(登録商標)(ZEMAX Development Corporation社製)を使用し、光学シミュレーションを行った条件を示す図である。
<細径ビーム生成装置の構成>
本実施形態に係る細径ビーム生成装置1cは、図12に示すように、複数の光源2a、2b、及び2cと、複数のコリメータ光学素子3a、3b、及び3cと、合波手段としてのダイクロイックミラー7a、7b、及び7cと、アキシコンレンズ4と、集光レンズ5と、を有する。

- 線光源を整形するビーム整形手段を有し、
前記ビーム整形手段は、集光部を有し、
前記線光源は、前記集光部の光軸上に配置され、
前記線光源の前記光軸上の中心位置は、前記集光部の焦点位置よりも、前記集光部から離れた位置に配置される、細径ビーム生成装置。 - 光源と、コリメータ光学系と、アキシコン光学素子と、を含む線光源生成手段を有する、請求項1に記載の細径ビーム生成装置。
- 光源と、コリメータ光学系と、アキシコン面を有するレンズと、を含む線光源生成手段を有し、
前記集光部は、非球面を有するレンズであり、
前記アキシコン面を有するレンズと、前記非球面を有するレンズとは、一体のレンズである、請求項1に記載の細径ビーム生成装置。 - 光源と、コリメータ光学系と、アキシコン鏡と、を含む線光源生成手段を有し、
前記集光部は、放物面鏡を有する、請求項1に記載の細径ビーム生成装置。 - 前記コリメータ光学系は、複数の異なる波長の平行光を出射する、請求項2~4のいずれかに記載の細径ビーム生成装置。
- 前記コリメータ光学系は、複数の光源から出射される光が入射する複数のコリメータレンズを有し、
前記複数のコリメータレンズから出射する複数の異なる波長の平行光が入射するアキシコン光学素子を有する、請求項5に記載の細径ビーム生成装置。 - 前記ビーム整形手段は、アパーチャを有する、請求項1~6のいずれかに記載の細径ビーム生成装置。
