Definitions
- the present invention relates to the technical field of vehicle lamps, and in particular, to a light guide assembly, an illumination device, and a motor vehicle.
- LED light sources are increasingly used in vehicle lighting.
- light emitted by the LED light source is typically directed to an illuminating position using a light guide.
- the light guide is generally mounted to a support structure by means of a light guide assembly.
- a clip fixing the light guide will be illuminated and form a hot spot, which will affect the optical effect eventually formed by a vehicle lamp.
- an objective of the present invention is to provide a light guide assembly that is capable of at least partially solving the technical problem mentioned above.
- a light guide assembly comprises a light guide holder and a light guide, wherein the light guide holder has a light guide mounting groove, the light guide mounting groove is configured to accommodate the light guide, the light guide has a fixing structure, the fixing structure is pressed on the light guide holder, and the light guide assembly further comprises a shielding structure for making the fixing structure invisible when viewed against a light emitting direction.
- the fixing structure is located at an end of the light guide.
- the fixing structure is located at the end of the light guide away from a light incident end.
- the shielding structure is integrally formed with the light guide assembly.
- the light guide has, on its circumferential outer side, an optical decoupling structure extending in its length direction.
- an under-cut structure is provided on an inner wall of the light guide mounting groove.
- the present invention further provides an illumination device, comprising a light guide assembly according to any of the preceding items.
- the present invention further provides a motor vehicle, comprising an illumination device according to the preceding item.
- the light guide assembly of the present invention has the following beneficial effect: the fixing structure needs to be provided only at the end of the light guide, the dispersion of light can be reduced and the utilisation of light emitted by a light source can be increased; and the provision of the shielding structure can effectively shield a local bright spot caused by the fixing structure, achieving an ideal optical effect of a vehicle light.
- the shielding structure is part of the light guide holder and is integrated with the light guide holder without additional components, so that space inside the vehicle light can be saved. The light guide assembly of the present invention can effectively save the space inside the vehicle light and reduce the production cost while achieving a good optical effect.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a light guide assembly according to the present invention.
- FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the light guide assembly according to the present invention at A-A shown in ;
- FIG. 1 is a schematic diagram of an under-cut structure of the light guide assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- fixing of a light guide is generally achieved by radially providing mounting feet on the light guide in an extension direction of the light guide, and by pressing the mounting foot with a protrusion structure on a decorative ring, or by fixing the mounting foot via a screw.
- a structure for fixing the light guide is to be illuminated to form a bright spot.
- an additional structure is typically used to shield the bright spot so that it is invisible when viewed against a light emitting direction.
- the present invention discloses a light guide assembly 100, and a corresponding illumination device and motor vehicle.
- FIG. 1 schematically shows a schematic diagram of a light guide assembly 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention. is an enlarged view of the light guide assembly 100 shown in at position B. is a cross-sectional view of the light guide assembly 100 according to the present invention at A-A shown in . is a schematic diagram of an under-cut structure 107 of the light guide assembly 100 according to an embodiment of the present invention.
- the light guide assembly 100 comprises a light guide holder 101 and a light guide 102, wherein the light guide holder 101 has a light guide mounting groove 103, and the light guide mounting groove 103 is configured to accommodate the light guide 102.
- the light guide 102 has a fixing structure 104
- the fixing structure 104 is pressed on the light guide holder 101
- the light guide assembly 100 further comprises a shielding structure 105 for making the fixing structure 104 invisible when viewed against a light emitting direction.
- the fixing structure 104 is located at an end of the light guide 102. More preferably, the fixing structure 104 is located at the end of the light guide 102 away from a light incident surface.
- the light guide holder 101 is provided with a groove in which the fixing structure 104 is pressed. Since the fixing structure 104 is perpendicular to an extension direction of the light guide 102 and parallel to a mounting direction of the light guide 102, the effect of fixing the light guide 102 can be ensured by providing the fixing structure only at the end of the light guide 102.
- the fixing structure in the present invention can be provided in such a way so as to reduce dispersion of light and increase utilisation of light emitted by a light source.
- the shielding structure 105 is arranged in front of the fixing structure 104 of the light guide 102 to shield the fixing structure 104 of the light guide 102 so that the fixing structure 104 is invisible when viewed against the light emitting direction. That is, when the light guide 101 is illuminated, a local bright spot caused by the fixing structure 104 is invisible, thereby ensuring an ideal optical effect of a vehicle light.
- the shielding structure 105 is a side of the light guide holder 101 corresponding to the groove, that is, the shielding structure 105 and the light guide holder 101 are of an integrated structure.
- the shielding structure 105 is preferably integrally formed with the light guide holder 101 and they are made of the same material, thereby simplifying the manufacturing process and saving costs.
- the fixing structure 104 is located in a radial direction of the light guide 102 and extends in a direction opposite the light emitting direction.
- At least part of the light guide 102 has, on the circumferential outer side, an optical decoupling structure 106 extending in its length direction to disrupt total reflection of light in the light guide 102 such that light entering the light guide 102 from a light source can go out of the side of the light guide 102 opposite the optical decoupling structure 106.
- the optical decoupling structure 106 can take the form, for example, of optical teeth, i.e., a prism, etc.
- the optical decoupling structure 106 is preferably arranged close to the light guide mounting groove 103.
- a light emitting surface of the light guide 102 can be microstructured, such as designed as an array-shaped pillow-shaped surface, to facilitate uniform emitting of light.
- an under-cut structure 107 is provided on an inner wall of the light guide mounting groove 103 in the length direction of the light guide 102, as shown in .
- the under-cut structure 107 can provide clamping of the light guide 102 to prevent the light guide 102 from falling out of the light guide mounting groove 103.
- the fixing structure needs to be provided only at the end of the light guide, and the reduction of fixing structures can correspondingly reduce the dispersion of the light and increase the utilisation of light emitted by a light source.
- the provision of the shielding structure can effectively shield the local bright spot caused by the fixing structure, achieving the ideal optical effect of the vehicle light.
- the shielding structure is part of the light guide holder and is integrated with the light guide holder without additional components, so that space inside the vehicle light can be saved.
- the light guide assembly of the present invention can effectively save the space inside the vehicle light and reduce the production cost while achieving a good optical effect.
- the present invention further provides an illumination device, comprising the light guide assembly 100 described above.
- the present invention further provides a motor vehicle, comprising the illumination device described above.
- the illumination device or motor vehicle according to the present invention has at least the beneficial effects brought about by the light guide assembly 100 described above.
