Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren (500) zur Anpassung eines für Wasserkühlung vorgesehenen Lagergehäuses zu einem ölgekühlten Lagergehäuse für einen Turbolader bereitgestellt. Das Verfahren umfasst das Bereitstellen (560) eines für Wasserkühlung \ vorgesehenen Lagergehäuses (100) mit einem Kühlraum (110) zur Kühlung eines turbinenseitigen Endabschnitts (112) des Lagergehäuses, wobei der Kühlraum für Wasserkühlung ausgelegt ist und einen Wasserzuführanschluss (114) und einen Wasserablaufanschluss (110) aufweist: und das Bereitstellen (565) einer Ölzufuhr (122) zu dem Kühlraum /um Zufuhren von Kühlöl für die Ölkühlung in den Kühlraum.
