Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Radarsystem mit zumindest drei Radarsensoren (1, 2, 3), welche phasenkohärent miteinander verbunden sind. Ein erster Radarsensor (1) und ein zweiter Radarsensor (2) sind voneinander beabstandet angeordnet. Durch bistatische Messung zumindest des ersten Radarsensors (1) und des zweiten (2) Radarsensors wird mittels MIMO ein virtueller Sensor (6) gebildet. Zumindest ein dritter Radarsensor (3) ist versetzt zu dem virtuellen Sensor (6) angeordnet. Das Radarsystem ist eingerichtet, mittels des virtuellen Sensors (6) und des zumindest einen dritten Sensors (3) einen Elevationswinkel eines Ziels zu erfassen.
