Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur adaptiven Zielverarbeitung in einem Kraftfahrzeugradar, wobei im Normalmodus des Radarsensors Ziele nach Geschwindigkeit und Ort in der Umgebung erfasst werden, wobei nach der Erfassung der Ziele im Normalmodus auf einen Feinmodus umgeschaltet wird, in welchem der Entfernungsmessbereich des Radarsensors an die im Normalmodus erfasste Zielumgebung angepasst wird. Gemäß der Erfindung wird innerhalb des an die Zielumgebung angepassten Entfernungsmessbereichs durch Erhöhung der Beobachtungszeit die Messgenauigkeit und/oder Auflösung bezüglich der Geschwindigkeit erhöht.
