Definitions

  • the present invention is encompassed in the field of molds for making shoe soles and the procedure for using said molds, specifically those in which polyurethane is used.
  • Polyurethane is a polymeric material that has been used in the manufacture of shoe soles for a long time, as it lightens the rubber used in the past. Polyurethane is formed by the reaction of its components, polyol and isocyanate, which produces gases.
  • the molds provide gas outlets to facilitate the complete filling of the cavity.
  • the increasing inclusion of protuberances in the soles to provide comfort in the tread means that the usual gas outlets are insufficient, while the protuberances are becoming more complicated day by day, having complex shapes, with an increasingly thin thickness. , and in greater number throughout the length and width of the sole .
