前記メソ/ラセモ比率は、透明性、ならびに高温環境下における自立性および耐クリープ性を向上しやすい観点から、好ましくは5未満、より好ましくは4以下、さらに好ましくは3以下、さらにより好ましくは2.5以下、特に好ましくは2以下であり、また、生産性の観点から、好ましくは1.0以上、より好ましくは1.2以上、さらに好ましくは1.4以上である。メソ/ラセモ比率が上記上限未満または上記上限以下であると、相対的にシンジオタクティック水酸基が減少して、透明性と高温環境下における自立性および耐クリープ性とを両立し得る、適度な結晶性がアセタール化物に付与されるため、透明性を維持しつつ、高温環境下における自立性および耐クリープ性を向上し得る。また、相対的にシンジオタクティック水酸基が減少することで、水酸基同士の水素結合が減少し、可塑剤の相溶性が向上する。
前記メソ/ラセモ比率は、13C-NMR測定を行い、得られたスペクトルから、メソ型を有する6員のブチラール環のアセタール部分のメチンC原子に由来するピークおよびラセモ型を有する6員のブチラール環のアセタール部分のメチンC原子に由来するピークの強度比を算出することにより求めることができ、例えば実施例に記載の方法により求めることができる。
前記エチレン単位の含有量は、得られる樹脂シートの耐貫通性および透明性、ならびにアセタール化物の成形加工性を向上しやすい観点から、好ましくは25モル%以上、より好ましくは30モル%以上、さらに好ましくは35モル%以上であってよく、また、貯蔵弾性率を高め、得られる樹脂シートの自立性を向上しやすい観点から、好ましくは60モル%以下、より好ましくは55モル%以下、さらに好ましくは50モル%以下であってよい。
前記ビニルアルコール単位の含有量は、ガラス等の基材に対する接着性を高めやすい観点から、アセタール化物を構成する全単量単位に対して、好ましくは10モル%以上、より好ましくは20モル%以上、さらに好ましくは25モル%以上、特に好ましくは30モル%以上であってよく、また、得られるアセタール化物の透明性を高めやすい観点から、好ましくは70モル%以下、より好ましくは65モル%以下、さらに好ましくは60モル%以下、特に好ましくは55モル%以下であってよい。
本発明におけるアセタール化度は、アセタール化物のアセタール単位、ビニルアルコール単位、および酢酸ビニル単位等のビニルエステル単位の総含有量に対する、アセタール単位の割合を指す。具体的には、本発明におけるアセタール化度は、アセタール単位の含有量をk、ビニルアルコール単位の含有量をl、およびビニルエステル単位の含有量をmとした場合、下記式:
アセタール化度(モル%)={k/(k+l+m)}×100
により求めることができる。
また、本発明の好適な一実施形態において、本発明のアセタール化物は、〔組成物〕の項に記載の、組成物の融解ピーク温度Tms、メルトフローレート(MFR)、およびΔHAH/ΔHAと同様の値を示す。
本発明のアセタール化物の製造方法は特に制限されないが、例えば
(i)エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体、アルデヒドおよび溶媒を含む分散液を調製し、アルデヒドの少なくとも一部をエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体中に含浸させる工程、および
(ii)工程(i)の後、分散液に触媒を添加してエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体をアセタール化する工程
を含み、
前記エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体は多孔質体であり、
前記アセタール化を固液反応により行う方法により製造し得る。
工程(i)は、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(以下「EVOH」ともいう)、アルデヒドおよび溶媒を含む分散液(以下「EVOH分散液」ともいう)を調製し、アルデヒドの少なくとも一部をエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体中に含浸させる工程である。
また、これらの細孔のメディアン径は、細孔分布測定装置により測定でき、例えば実施例に記載の方法により測定される。
本発明において、多孔質体の重心部に細孔を有するとは、多孔質体の重心を通る多孔質体断面において、該断面の重心から多孔質体表面までの距離までのうち最も短い距離を距離Lとしたとき、断面の重心から前記距離Lの50%以内の領域に細孔が存在することをいう。
EVOH多孔質体の0.005~100μmにおける細孔表面積は多孔質体の製造条件により調整し得る。例えば、多孔質体の細孔のメディアン径の調整方法と同様に、前記組成物に含まれる溶媒の種類およびその含有量、前記組成物を凝固液に押出す際の線速度、押出温度、ならびに冷却速度などにより調整し得る。また、EVOH多孔質体の前記細孔表面積は、細孔分布測定装置により測定できる。
EVOH多孔質体の細孔容積は多孔質体の製造条件により調整し得る。例えば、多孔質体の細孔のメディアン径の調整方法と同様に、前記組成物に含まれる溶媒の種類およびその含有量、前記組成物を凝固液に押出す際の線速度、押出温度、ならびに凝固させる際の冷却速度などにより調整し得る。また、多孔質体の細孔容積は、細孔分布測定装置により測定できる。
EVOHの原料となるビニルエステル系単量体としては、例えば、ギ酸ビニル、酢酸ビニル、プロピオン酸ビニル、酪酸ビニル、イソ酪酸ビニル、ピバリン酸ビニル、バーサチック酸ビニル、カプロン酸ビニル、カプリル酸ビニル、ラウリル酸ビニル、パルミチン酸ビニル、ステアリン酸ビニル、オレイン酸ビニル、安息香酸ビニル等が挙げられる。これらのなかでも、酢酸ビニルが好ましい。
エチレンとビニルエステル系単量体とを共重合する方法としては、特に制限されず、従来公知の方法、例えば、溶液重合法、塊状重合法、懸濁重合法、乳化重合法等の方法により共重合してよい。前記共重合において使用し得る重合開始剤は、アゾ系開始剤、過酸化物系開始剤、レドックス系開始剤等の従来公知の重合開始剤を重合方法に応じて適宜選択できる。
エチレンとビニルエステル系単量体との共重合のケン化は、従来公知のアルカリ触媒または酸触媒を用いる加アルコール分解、加水分解等により行うことができ、なかでも、メタノールを溶剤とし苛性ソーダ(NaOH)触媒を用いるケン化が、簡便であるため好ましい。
EVOHアルコール溶液におけるアルコールの含有量は、EVOH100質量部に対して、好ましくは1~500質量部、より好ましくは5~200質量部であってよい。
上記のように、組成物を凝固液中に押出して凝固させることにより、得られる凝固体は、細孔が配向した多孔質体となる。
上記のように、組成物の溶融物を押出してペレタイズすることにより、得られるペレットは、細孔が配向した多孔質体となる。
工程(ii)は、アルデヒドをEVOH中に含浸させた後、工程(i)で調製したEVOH分散液に触媒を添加して、EVOHをアセタール化する工程である。本発明の方法において、前記アセタール化は固液反応により行う。アセタール化を固液反応により行うことにより、得られるアセタール化物の前記Tm/Tg(K/K)を上記範囲内に調整しやすく、また、アセタール化物のアセタール環構造のメソ/ラセモ比率を上記範囲内に調整しやすいため、透明性を維持しつつ、高温環境下における自立性および耐クリープ性を向上しやすい。また、アセタール化を固液反応により行うことにより、生成したアセタール化物を濾過操作により反応液から分離でき、アセタール化物を効率よく製造しやすく、また、アセタール化物を高収率で製造しやすい。なお、本発明において、アセタール化を固液反応により行う方法(以下、「固液法」ともいう)は、アセタール化反応の溶媒として、EVOHおよびアセタール化により生成するEVOHのアセタール化物の貧溶媒を用いることにより、アセタール化工程でEVOHおよびアセタール化物を溶媒に溶解させることなく、生成するアセタール化物を分散液に分散した固体として得る方法をいう。
EVOH分散液に触媒を複数回に分けて添加する場合、1回目の触媒の添加量は、総添加量に対して、好ましくは50質量%以下、より好ましくは40質量%以下、さらに好ましくは30質量%以下である。1回目の触媒の添加量が上記上限以下であると、アセタール化度の分布が狭くなり、得られるアセタール化物の透明性を向上しやすい。
本発明は、本発明のアセタール化物(以下、「アセタール化物(A)」ともいう)、および前記アセタール化物(A)以外の樹脂(B)、可塑剤、酸化防止剤および紫外線吸収剤からなる群から選択される、少なくとも1つの成分を含み、前記アセタール化物(A)の含有量が70質量%以上である組成物も包含する。
アセタール化物(B)としては、アセタール化物(A)が式(1)および式(2)を満たす場合には、例えば、下記式(3):

を満たす組成物であってもよい。本発明の別の一実施形態において、高温環境下における自立性および耐クリープ性を向上しやすい観点から、ΔHAH/ΔHAは0.30を超えてもよく、好ましくは0.305以上、より好ましくは0.31以上であってもよい。また、透明性および製膜性を向上しやすい観点から、好ましくは0.60以下、より好ましくは0.50以下、さらに好ましくは0.40以下であってよい。
本発明は、本発明におけるEVOHのアセタール化物または本発明の組成物を含有する層(以下、層(x)ともいう)を1層以上含む樹脂シートも包含する。本発明の樹脂シートは、層(x)のみから構成されていてもよく、層(x)を少なくとも1層含む積層体であってもよい。前記積層体としては、特に限定されないが、例えば、2層以上の層(x)を含む積層体、1層以上の層(x)と1層以上の他の層とを含む積層体等が挙げられる。層(x)または他の層が複数の層である場合、各層を構成する樹脂または樹脂組成物は、同じでも異なっていてもよい。
本発明の樹脂シートを製造する方法は特に制限されず、例えば、押出成形、プレス成形、ブロー成形、射出成形、溶液流延法等の公知の方法により、本発明におけるアセタール化物または本発明の組成物をシート状に成形すればよい。公知の方法のなかでも、押出機にアセタール化物、および必要に応じて添加剤を供給し、混練、溶融した後、得られた溶融混錬物をダイスから押出し、引取機で引取ってシート状に成形する方法が好適に用いられる。押出時の樹脂温度は、好ましくは170~250℃、より好ましくは180~240℃、さらに好ましくは190~220℃である。押出時の樹脂温度が上記上限以下であると、アセタール化物の分解が抑制され、着色しにくくなる。また、押出時の樹脂温度が上記下限以上であると、アセタール化物が完全に溶融し、外観の良好なシートが得られやすく、また、揮発性物質の発生を抑制しやすい。また、揮発性物質を効率的に除去するために、減圧によって押出機のベント口から、揮発性物質を除去することが好ましい。
本発明の樹脂シートは、合わせガラス用中間膜(以下、単に中間膜ともいう)として好適に使用される。したがって、本発明は、本発明の樹脂シートからなる合わせガラス用中間膜を包含する。本発明の合わせガラス用中間膜は、自動車等の移動体、建築物、太陽電池等の各種用途に好適に用いられる。本発明の一実施形態において、本発明の合わせガラス用中間膜は、透明性、自立性、およびガラス等の基材に対する接着性に優れるため、構造材料用合わせガラス用中間膜として特に好適に用いられる。
本発明は、2つのガラス板と、該2つのガラス板の間に配置された本発明の合わせガラス用中間膜とを有する合わせガラスも包含する。本発明の合わせガラスは、本発明の樹脂シートからなる合わせガラス用中間膜を含むため、優れた透明性を有する。

実施例および比較例で原料として用いたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体、ならびに実施例および比較例で得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物について、該エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体およびそのアセタール化物におけるエチレン単位、ビニルアルコール単位およびアセタール化されたビニルアルコール単位であるアセタール単位の含有量(単位:モル%)、ならびにアセタール化度の分析を、以下のようにして行った。
エチレン単位は、アセタール化反応による影響を受けないことから、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体におけるエチレン単位の含有量(n)は、そのエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化後に得られるEVOHのアセタール化物を構成する全単量体単位に対するエチレン単位の含有量(n)と等しい。
以下の方法により、EVOHのアセタール化物を構成する全単量体単位に対する、ビニルアルコール単位の含有量(l)、酢酸ビニル単位の含有量(m)およびアセタール単位の含有量(k)を求めた。EVOHのアセタール化物のDMSO-d6溶液を、400MHzのプロトンNMR測定装置により、積算回数256回で測定した。得られたスペクトルから、エチレン単位、ビニルアルコール単位および酢酸ビニル単位に由来するメチンプロトンのピーク(1.0~1.8ppmのピーク)、およびアセタール単位に由来する末端メチルプロトンのピーク(0.8~1.0ppmのピーク)の強度比、ならびにエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のエチレン単位の含有量(n)を用いて各単量体単位の含有量を算出した。

実施例および比較例で得られたアセタール化物のシンメトリー係数は、JIS K 0124:2011に準拠して、以下の条件下、水-エタノール溶離液による逆相分配グラジエント高速液体クロマトグラフィー(HPLC)分析を行うことによって求めた。前記シンメトリー係数における「W0.05h」は、HPLC分析により得られた測定ピークのベースラインからのピーク高さの1/20の高さ(ピーク5%高さ位置)におけるピーク幅を表し、「f」は、ピーク5%高さ位置におけるピーク幅を、ピーク頂点を含む垂線で二分したときのピークの立ち上がり側の距離を表す。

(HPLC分析の手順)
移動相Aとして水、移動相Bとしてエタノール(99.5%)を使用した。サンプル注入前の時点においては、HPLCシステムのカラム内部は移動相A/移動相Bが体積比で95/5の混合溶媒で満たされた状態である。この状態でサンプルを注入する。そして、以下のような条件で、溶媒を流す。

実施例および比較例で得られたアセタール化物を示差走査熱量計(DSC)(Mettler Toledo社製、TGA/DSC1 Star System)を用いて、25℃から230℃まで昇温速度10℃/分で加熱して融解させたサンプルを、230℃から-30℃まで降温速度10℃/分で冷却後、昇温速度10℃/分で再度-30℃から230℃まで昇温した際に測定される、融解ピーク温度Tm(℃)および、中間点ガラス転移温度Tg(℃)をJIS K7121:2012に準拠して測定した。得られた値をそれぞれケルビン(K)単位に換算し、Tm/Tg(K/K)を算出した。
Brukerの分光計AV600型を使用して、13C-NMR測定を実施した。直径10mmのNMR管内で、実施例および比較例で得られたアセタール化物を重水素化ジメチルスルホキシド(DMSO)に溶解させ、12重量%のアセタール化物溶液を製造した。緩和剤としてクロム(III)アセチルアセトネートを0.9重量%の量で添加した。NMR測定はゲートデカップリングモードにおいて80℃で実施した。得られたスペクトルから、メソ型を有する6員のブチラール環のアセタール部分のメチンC原子に由来するピーク(98.0~102ppmのピーク)、およびラセモ型を有する6員のブチラール環のアセタール部分のメチンC原子に由来するピーク(91.0~95.0ppmのピーク)の強度比から、メソ/ラセモ比率を算出した。
実施例および比較例で得られたアセタール化物のSP値、ならびに実施例および比較例で使用した可塑剤のSP値は、Fedorsの計算手法に則って計算した。
実施例および比較例で得られたアセタール化物含有組成物を示差走査熱量計(DSC)(Mettler Toledo社製、TGA/DSC1 Star System)を用いて、25℃から230℃まで昇温速度10℃/分で加熱して融解させたサンプルを、230℃から-30℃まで降温速度10℃/分で冷却後、昇温速度10℃/分で再度-30℃から230℃まで昇温した際に測定される、融解ピーク温度Tms(℃)をJIS K7121:2012に準拠して測定した。
実施例および比較例で使用したエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のメルトフローレートを、JIS K7210:2014に準拠して、190℃、2.16kg荷重の条件で測定した。
後述の各製造例で得られたEVOH多孔質体もしくは実施例および比較例で得られたEVOHアセタール化物を-80℃にて凍結乾燥した後、0.5gを標準5cc粉体用セル(ステム容積0.4cc)に採り、初期圧2.6kPaの条件で、マイクロメリティックス細孔分布測定装置(株式会社島津製作所製、オートポアV9620)を用いて、細孔直径が0.005~100μmの範囲内の細孔のメディアン径および細孔表面積を測定した。細孔のメディアン径は、Log微分細孔容積分布において、細孔直径が0.005~100μmの範囲内におけるすべての細孔に対するメディアン径(d50)である。なお、水銀パラメータは、水銀接触角130degrees、水銀表面張力485hynes/cmとした。
後述の製造例1~5で得られたEVOH多孔質体の重心を通る、細孔の配向方向(押出方向)に対して垂直方向の多孔質体断面を、液体窒素で凍結させた状態で片刃剃刀により作製した。作製した多孔質体断面を走査電子顕微鏡(SEM、株式会社日立ハイテク製、SU-70)により観察し、各多孔質体が重心部に細孔を有するか否かを評価した。
後述の製造例1~5で得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体100gについて、ヴァーダー・サイエンティフィック社の「CAMSIZER XT」を用い、測定用試料(凍結乾燥されたEVOH多孔質ペレット)の平均粒子径を測定した。ISO 13322-2(2006年)に準拠した動的画像解析法によって算出された円相当粒子径の小粒子径側からの積算粒度分布が50%(体積基準)となる粒子径(Q3 50.0%)を平均粒子径とした。
実施例および比較例で得られたアセタール化物および組成物の溶融混練物を示差走査熱量計(DSC)(Mettler Toledo社製、TGA/DSC1 Star System)を用いて、25℃から140℃まで昇温速度10℃/分で加熱した後、140℃で30分間ホールドし、140℃から-30℃まで降温速度4℃/分で冷却後、昇温速度10℃/分で再度-30℃から200℃まで昇温した際に測定される結晶融解熱量(ΔHA)を測定した。
得られたΔHAを145℃でピーク分割した際の、高温側の結晶融解熱量をΔHAHとし、ΔHAH/ΔHAを計算した。図2に実施例1で得られた測定結果を示す。
(樹脂シートのヘイズ)
実施例および比較例で得られた樹脂シートから縦20mm×横5mmの試験片を切り出して試験片を得た。得られた試験片のヘイズをヘイズメーター(日本電色工業株式会社製、SH7000)を用いて、JIS K7136:2000に準拠して測定した。
(合わせガラスの徐冷時のヘイズ(徐冷ヘイズ))
実施例および比較例で得られた合わせガラスを25mm×25mmの大きさに切断して試験サンプルを得た。得られた試験サンプルを140℃に加熱したのち、0.1℃/分の速度で23℃まで徐冷した。徐冷操作後の試験サンプルのヘイズをヘイズメーター(日本電色工業株式会社製、SH7000)を用いて、JIS K7136:2000に準拠して測定した。
実施例および比較例で得られた樹脂シートの高温環境下における自立性の評価を、80℃における貯蔵弾性率により評価した。実施例および比較例で得られた樹脂シートから縦20mm×横5mmの試験片を切り出し、動的粘弾性測定装置(株式会社UBM製)を用いて、測定温度80℃、周波数1Hzの条件で、貯蔵弾性率(E’)を測定した。
実施例及び比較例で得られた樹脂シートを23℃、50%RH雰囲気下で1週間以上静置した後に、縦40mm×横5mmの試験片を切り出し、(株)UBM製動的粘弾性測定装置を用いて、動的粘弾性測定と時間-温度換算則から得られる、基準温度50℃の合成曲線(マスターカーブ)から長時間緩和弾性率を求め、その値を長時間経過後の樹脂シートの強度の指標とした。長時間緩和弾性率が高いほど、長時間経過後の樹脂シートの強度が高いことを示す。
動的粘弾性測定は、JIS K 0129:2005に準拠した方法に従い、温度50~100℃、周波数0.1、0.5、1、5、10、50、100Hzの条件下で引張測定を行い、得られた貯蔵弾性率の測定結果から、温度時間換算則を用いて、基準温度を50℃としてマスターカーブを作成し、周波数3.2×10-9Hzにおける貯蔵弾性率(E’(t1))、及び周波数1.6×10-9Hzにおける損失弾性率(E’’(t2))を読み取り、ポアソン比を0.5に固定し、下記式(A)により、50℃、3.2×108秒後の緩和弾性率G(t)を求めた。

なお、これらの一連の計算は、(株)UBM製動的粘弾性測定装置に付帯の計算ソフト「RheoStation」((株)UBM)を用いて行った。
同様に、JIS K 0129:2005に準拠した方法に従い、温度80~140℃、周波数0.1、0.5、1、5、10、50、100Hzの条件下で引張測定を行い、得られた貯蔵弾性率の測定結果から、温度時間換算則を用いて、基準温度を80℃としてマスターカーブを作成し、周波数4.0×10-7Hzにおける貯蔵弾性率(E’(t1))、及び周波数2.0×10-7Hzにおける損失弾性率(E’’(t2))を読み取り、ポアソン比を0.5に固定し、式(A)により、80℃における2.6×106秒後の緩和弾性率を求めた。
実施例および比較例で得られたアセタール化物および組成物の溶融混練物を200℃加熱下、50kgf/cm2の圧力にて5分間圧縮成形し、厚さ0.8mmの樹脂シートを得た。該樹脂シートから縦60mm×横60mmの試験片を切り出し、落錘式衝撃試験機(インストロン社製、「CEAST9350」)を用い、ASTM D3763-18に準拠して、測定温度23℃、荷重2kg、衝突速度9m/secの条件にて試験を行い、試験片貫通の際の、ストライカ先端が試験片に接した(試験力を感知した)瞬間から貫通する(試験力がゼロに戻る)までのSSカーブの面積から貫通エネルギーを算出した。
実施例および比較例で得られた合わせガラスの縁を支持枠に固定して水平に保持し、その上から2.26kgの鋼球を1.5mの高さから、試験片である合わせガラス中央部に自由落下させた。10回の繰り返し試験を行い、以下の基準で評価した。落球試験の結果がAもしくはBの場合、合わせガラスがより優れた耐貫通性を有することを示す。なお、この試験は合わせガラスの温度を20℃に保って行った。
(落球試験の評価基準)
A:5回以上鋼球の貫通を防げることができた。
B:鋼球の貫通を妨げることができたのは5回未満、2回以上であった。
C:鋼球の貫通を妨げることができたのは2回未満であった。
後述する方法にて得られたアセタール化物および組成物を40mm径のフルフライト1軸押出機、60cm幅のコートハンガーダイを用いて、バレル温度200℃の条件で製膜して厚さ0.8mm、幅50cmの樹脂シートを製造した。このときの製膜安定性を観察し、以下の基準により評価し、製膜性の指標とした。
(製膜性の評価基準)
A:問題なく連続製膜が可能であり外観良好な樹脂シートが得られた。
B:樹脂シートの端部の一部に破断や弛みなどの問題が生じたが、連続製膜が可能であり、比較的外観良好な樹脂シート得られた。
C:樹脂シートの破断や弛みなどの問題が生じ、連続製膜が出来ず、外観良好な樹脂シートが得られなかった。
実施例および比較例で得られた合わせガラスの最大せん断応力を、国際公開第1999/058334号に記載の圧縮せん断強度試験(Compressive shear strength test)として記載されている方法に従って測定した。得られた最大せん断応力をガラスと樹脂シートとの低温接着性の評価指標とした。評価基準を以下に示す。
A:最大せん断応力が25MPa以上
B:最大せん断応力が20MPa以上25MPa未満
C:最大せん断応力が20MPa未満
エチレン単位含有量44モル%、ケン化度99.98モル%のEVOH100質量部、メタノール60質量部および水40質量部含むEVOH溶液を、塔径0.3m、段数10段の棚段塔の最上段から連続的に供給し、最下段から水蒸気を吹き込み、EVOH溶液と水蒸気を向流で接触させた。塔内の温度は130℃、塔内の圧力は0.3MPaであった。水蒸気を向流で接触させて得られた含水EVOHを、塔底から抜き出した。得られた含水EVOHの温度は120℃であり、含水率は52.4質量%であった。また、メタノール含有率は0.02質量%であった。
含水EVOHを、バックスリットを有する二軸押出機に42kg/hrで供給し、押出機先端に取り付けられた孔径3.0mm、8個の孔を有するダイスより下記条件で押出した。押出されたその溶融物を、ダイスからの距離0.05mmのところで、2枚の刃を有するホットカッターで切断し、扁平球ペレット状のEVOH多孔質体を得た。カッター循環水の流量は300リットル/分であり、カッター刃の回転数は3000rpmであった。この時の樹脂温度(出口)は95℃であり、含水率は34質量%であった。

得られたEVOH多孔質体を、酢酸ナトリウムがナトリウム換算で0.002質量%以下になるまで50℃で水洗し、洗浄水を濾去することで、扁平球ペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の多孔質体(EVOH1)を得た。
得られたEVOH1は、平均粒子径3.2mmの扁平球状のペレットであった。EVOH1のペレットは、直径0.003μm~100μmの細孔を有し、細孔のメディアン径が0.07μmであった。電子顕微鏡にて観察した結果、多孔質体の重心部に細孔を有すること、および多孔質体の重心を通る多孔質体断面において、該断面の重心から多孔質体表面までの距離までのうち最も短い距離を距離Lとしたとき、断面の重心から前記距離Lの10%以内の領域に細孔を有することが確認された。得られたEVOH1の細孔のメディアン径、平均粒子径、および細孔表面積を表1に示す。
製造例1のエチレン含有量を32モル%にした以外は製造例1と同様にして、ペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の多孔質体(EVOH2)を得た。
得られたEVOH2のペレットは、平均粒子径3.2mmの扁平球状であった。EVOH2のペレットは、直径0.003μm~100μmの細孔を有し、細孔のメディアン径が0.11μmであった。電子顕微鏡で観察した結果、多孔質体の重心部に細孔を有すること、および多孔質体断面の重心から距離Lの10%以内の領域に細孔を有することが確認された。
得られたEVOH2の細孔のメディアン径、平均粒子径、および細孔表面積を表1に示す。
製造例1で得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH1)を二軸押出機に投入し、吐出口の樹脂温度100℃にてペレタイズした。EVOH1の単位時間当たりの投入量は10kg/hrであった。二軸押出機の仕様を以下に示す

得られたペレットを、流動乾燥機を用いて100℃で15時間乾燥し、引き続き静置乾燥機を用いて100℃で15時間乾燥し、ペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体(EVOH3)を得た。
得られたEVOH3のペレットは、平均粒子径2.9mmの球状であり、電子顕微鏡にて観察した結果、EVOH3が細孔を有することは確認されなかった。得られたEVOH3の平均粒子径および細孔表面積を表1に示す。
製造例1のエチレン含有量を27モル%にした以外は製造例1と同様にして、ペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の多孔質体(EVOH4)を得た。
得られたEVOH4のペレットは、平均粒子径3.2mmの扁平球状であった。EVOH4のペレットは、直径0.003μm~100μmの細孔を有し、細孔のメディアン径が0.11μmであった。電子顕微鏡にて観察した結果、多孔質体の重心部に細孔を有すること、および多孔質体断面の重心から距離Lの10%以内の領域に細孔を有することが確認された。
得られたEVOH4の細孔のメディアン径、平均粒子径、および細孔表面積を表1に示す。
製造例1のエチレン含有量を15モル%にした以外は製造例1と同様にして、ペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の多孔質体(EVOH5)を得た。
得られたEVOH5のペレットは、平均粒子径3.2mmの扁平球状であった。EVOH5のペレットは、直径0.003μm~100μmの細孔を有し、細孔のメディアン径は0.05μmであった。電子顕微鏡にて観察した結果、多孔質体の重心部に細孔を有すること、および多孔質体断面の重心から距離Lの10%以内の領域に細孔を有することが確認された。
得られたEVOH5の細孔のメディアン径、平均粒子径、および細孔表面積を表1に示す。
製造例1のエチレン含有量を38モル%にした以外は製造例1と同様にして、ペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の多孔質体(EVOH6)を得た。
得られたEVOH6のペレットは、平均粒子径3.2mmの扁平球状であった。EVOH6のペレットは、直径0.003μm~100μmの細孔を有し、細孔のメディアン径は0.08μmであった。電子顕微鏡にて観察した結果、多孔質体の重心部に細孔を有すること、および多孔質体断面の重心から距離Lの10%以内の領域に細孔を有することが確認された。
得られたEVOH6の細孔表面積は33(m2/g)であった。
(エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物の合成)
製造例2で得られたEVOH多孔質体(EVOH2)100質量部を377質量部の水中に分散させ、イソブチルアルデヒド20.0質量部を添加し、得られた分散液を撹拌下で60℃に昇温した。2時間撹拌を継続し、イソブチルアルデヒドをエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体に含浸させた。その後、60℃にて、前記分散液に1M塩酸を10質量部添加し、アセタール化反応を行った。1回目の塩酸を添加してから2時間後に、1M塩酸を40質量部添加し、さらに4時間アセタール化反応を行った。アセタール化により生成したアセタール化物は固体状態であった。その後、分散液に1Mの水酸化ナトリウム75質量部を添加して中和することにより、アセタール化反応を停止させた。アセタール化物の固体内部まで中和するため、分散液を60℃でさらに8時間撹拌した。中和されたアセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、アセタール化物を洗浄した。再び、アセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し、60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、2回目のアセタール化物の洗浄を行った。洗浄水を濾去し、60℃にて真空乾燥を8時間実施することでペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-1)を113質量部(収率100%)得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物のエチレン単位は32モル%、アセタール化度は29モル%であった。また、得られたEVOHのアセタール化物は、原料であるEVOH2と同様の細孔構造を有する多孔質体であった。
得られた溶融混錬物を210℃加熱下、50kgf/cm2(50MPa)の圧力にて5分間圧縮成形し、厚さ0.8mmの樹脂シートを得た。
得られたシートを厚さ2.7mmのフロートガラス2枚に挟み、真空ラミネーター(日清紡メカトロニクス株式会社製1522N)に投入し、100℃で真空ラミネーター内を1分間減圧した。減圧および温度を保持したまま30kPaで5分間プレスして、仮接着体を得た。得られた仮接着体をオートクレーブに投入し、140℃、1.2MPaで30分間処理して、合わせガラスを得た。
用いたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の種類およびアルデヒドの添加量を表1に示す通りにそれぞれ変更した以外は、実施例1と同様の方法でペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-2)、(A-3)および(A-4)を得た。得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物は、それぞれ原料のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体と同様の細孔構造を有する多孔質体であった。得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物を用い、実施例1と同様にして、それぞれ溶融混錬物、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
原料として用いたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の種類およびアルデヒドの添加量を表1に示す通り変更した以外は、実施例1と同様の方法でEVOHのアセタール化物(B-2)を得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物を用い、実施例1と同様にして、それぞれ溶融混錬物、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
原料として用いたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の種類およびアルデヒドの添加量を表1に示す通り変更し、アルデヒドの含浸を行わなかった以外は、実施例1と同様の方法でEVOHのアセタール化物(B-3)を得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物を用い、実施例1と同様にして、それぞれ溶融混錬物、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
製造例1で得られたEVOH多孔質体(EVOH1)100質量部を500質量部のメタノール及び50質量部のイオン交換水の混合溶媒中に分散させ、次いで1M塩酸を40質量部添加し、得られた分散液の温度を撹拌下で60℃まで昇温して、チップを完全に溶解させた。その後、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の均一溶液状態で、イソブチルアルデヒド16.7質量部を添加して分散させた後、60℃を保持しアセタール化反応を行った。反応開始から3時間保持した時点で炭酸ナトリウム6.4質量部を添加して反応停止させ、変性ビニルアセタール樹脂を含む反応液を得た。
得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物を用い、実施例1と同様にして、それぞれ溶融混錬物、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
原料として用いたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の種類およびアルデヒドの添加量を表1に示す通り変更した以外は、実施例1と同様の方法でEVOHのアセタール化物(B-4)を得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物を用い、実施例1と同様にして、それぞれ溶融混錬物、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
原料として用いたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体の種類、アルデヒドの添加量および反応時間を表1に示す通り変更し、アルデヒドの含浸を行わなかった以外は、実施例1と同様の方法でEVOHのアセタール化物(B-5)を得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物を用い、実施例1と同様にして、それぞれ溶融混錬物、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-1)100質量部、およびフェノール系酸化防止剤(BASFジャパン株式会社社製、「Irganox1010」) 0.02質量部を混合して得られた組成物を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
用いたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物を表2に示す通りそれぞれ変更した以外は、実施例5と同様にして、組成物の溶融混錬物、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-2) 80質量部、およびエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(B-1) 20質量部を混合して得られた組成物を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-4) 100質量部、およびジ-(2-ブトキシエチル)-アジピン酸エステル(DBEA) 10質量部を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-2) 100質量部、およびポリプロピレングリコール(平均分子量400:三洋化成社製、「サンニックスPP-400」) 22質量部を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
(エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物の合成)
製造例4で得られたEVOH多孔質体(EVOH4)100質量部を377質量部の水中に分散させ、イソブチルアルデヒド9.0質量部を添加し、得られた分散液を撹拌下で60℃に昇温した。2時間撹拌を継続し、イソブチルアルデヒドをエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体に含浸させた。その後、60℃にて、前記分散液に1M塩酸を10質量部添加し、アセタール化反応を行った。1回目の塩酸を添加してから2時間後に、1M塩酸を40質量部添加し、さらに4時間アセタール化反応を行った。アセタール化により生成したアセタール化物は固体状態であった。その後、分散液に1Mの水酸化ナトリウム75質量部を添加して中和することにより、アセタール化反応を停止させた。アセタール化物の固体内部まで中和するため、分散液を60℃でさらに8時間撹拌した。中和されたアセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、アセタール化物を洗浄した。再び、アセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し、60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、2回目のアセタール化物の洗浄を行った。洗浄水を濾去し、60℃にて真空乾燥を8時間実施することでペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-5)を103質量部(収率100%)得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物のエチレン単位は27モル%、ビニルアルコール単位は68.6モル%、アセタール化度は12モル%であった。また、得られたEVOHのアセタール化物は、原料であるEVOH4と同様の細孔構造を有する多孔質体であった。
得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-5)の、シンメトリー係数は0.79、Tgは55℃、Tmは151℃、Tm/Tg(K/K)は1.29であった。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-5) 100質量部、およびポリプロピレングリコール(平均分子量400:三洋化成社製、「サンニックスPP-400」) 20質量部を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
製造例4で得られたEVOH多孔質体(EVOH4)100質量部を377質量部の水中に分散させ、イソブチルアルデヒド23.3質量部を添加し、得られた分散液を撹拌下で60℃に昇温した。2時間撹拌を継続し、イソブチルアルデヒドをエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体に含浸させた。その後、60℃にて、前記分散液に1M塩酸を10質量部添加し、アセタール化反応を行った。1回目の塩酸を添加してから2時間後に、1M塩酸を40質量部添加し、さらに4時間アセタール化反応を行った。アセタール化により生成したアセタール化物は固体状態であった。その後、分散液に1Mの水酸化ナトリウム75質量部を添加して中和することにより、アセタール化反応を停止させた。アセタール化物の固体内部まで中和するため、分散液を60℃でさらに8時間撹拌した。中和されたアセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、アセタール化物を洗浄した。再び、アセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し、60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、2回目のアセタール化物の洗浄を行った。洗浄水を濾去し、60℃にて真空乾燥を8時間実施することでペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-6)を117質量部(収率100%)得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物のエチレン単位は27モル%、ビニルアルコール単位は56.9モル%、アセタール化度は22モル%であった。また、得られたEVOHのアセタール化物は、原料であるEVOH4と同様の細孔構造を有する多孔質体であった。
得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-6)のアセタール化度は22モル%、シンメトリー係数は0.79、Tgは50℃、Tmは146℃、Tm/Tg(K/K)は1.30であった。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
用いたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物を表4に示す通りそれぞれ変更した以外は、実施例5と同様にして、組成物の溶融混錬物、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
反応条件を表4に示す通りにそれぞれ変更した以外は、実施例1と同様の方法でペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-1’)~(A-4’)を得た。得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物は、それぞれ原料のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体と同様の細孔構造を有する多孔質体であった。得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物を用い、実施例1と同様にして、それぞれ溶融混錬物、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。
反応条件を表4に示す通り変更した以外は、比較例1と同様の方法でEVOHのアセタール化物(B-2’)を得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物を用い、実施例1と同様にして、それぞれ溶融混錬物、樹脂シートおよび合わせガラスを得た。

製造例1で得られたEVOH多孔質体(EVOH1)100質量部を377質量部の水中に分散させ、イソブチルアルデヒド19.5質量部を添加し、得られた分散液を撹拌下で60℃に昇温した。2時間撹拌を継続し、イソブチルアルデヒドをエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体に含浸させた。その後、60℃にて、前記分散液に1M塩酸を10質量部添加し、アセタール化反応を行った。1回目の塩酸を添加してから2時間後に、1M塩酸を40質量部添加し、さらに6時間アセタール化反応を行った。アセタール化により生成したアセタール化物は固体状態であった。その後、分散液に1Mの水酸化ナトリウム75質量部を添加して中和することにより、アセタール化反応を停止させた。アセタール化物の固体内部まで中和するため、分散液を60℃でさらに8時間撹拌した。中和されたアセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、アセタール化物を洗浄した。再び、アセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し、60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、2回目のアセタール化物の洗浄を行った。洗浄水を濾去し、60℃にて真空乾燥を8時間実施することでペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-7)を103質量部(収率100%)得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物のエチレン単位は44モル%、ビニルアルコール単位は36.4モル%、アセタール化度は35モル%であった。また、得られたEVOHのアセタール化物は、原料であるEVOH1と同様の細孔構造を有する多孔質体であった。
得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-7)の、シンメトリー係数は0.82、Tgは44℃、Tmは140℃、Tm/Tg(K/K)は1.30、SP値は11.5(cal/cm3)1/2、メソ/ラセモ比率は2.2であった。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シートを1週間23℃、50%RHの恒温恒湿槽に静置し、可塑剤のブリードアウトを確認したところ、1週間静置後もブリードアウトは見られなかった。また、樹脂シートを用いて実施例1と同様にして、合わせガラスを得た。
実施例15で得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-2’) 100質量部、アジピン酸ビス(2-ブトキシエチル)(東京化成社製:DBEA) 4.0質量部およびポリプロピレングリコール(平均分子量400:三洋化成社製、「サンニックスPP-400」、SP値10.4(cal/cm3)1/2) 10.0質量部を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シートを1週間23℃、50%RHの恒温恒湿槽に静置し、可塑剤のブリードアウトを確認したところ、1週間静置後もブリードアウトは見られなかった。また、樹脂シートを用いて実施例1と同様にして、合わせガラスを得た。
実施例27で得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-7) 100質量部、モノプロピレングリコールジベンゾエート(DIC社製:PB-10、SP値:10.9(cal/cm3)1/2) 17.5質量部およびフェノール系酸化防止剤(BASFジャパン株式会社製、「Irganox1010」) 0.02質量部を混合して得られた組成物を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シートを1週間23℃、50%RHの恒温恒湿槽に静置し、可塑剤のブリードアウトを確認したところ、1週間静置後もブリードアウトは見られなかった。また、樹脂シートを用いて実施例1と同様にして、合わせガラスを得た。
実施例15で得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-2’) 100質量部、およびポリプロピレングリコール(平均分子量400:三洋化成社製、「サンニックスPP-400」、SP値10.4(cal/cm3)1/2) 17.5質量部を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。

(エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物の合成)
製造例6で得られたEVOH多孔質体(EVOH6)100質量部を377質量部の水中に分散させ、イソブチルアルデヒド18.5質量部を添加し、得られた分散液を撹拌下で60℃に昇温した。2時間撹拌を継続し、イソブチルアルデヒドをエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体に含浸させた。その後、60℃にて、前記分散液に1M塩酸を10質量部添加し、アセタール化反応を行った。1回目の塩酸を添加してから2時間後に、1M塩酸を40質量部添加し、さらに6時間アセタール化反応を行った。アセタール化により生成したアセタール化物は固体状態であった。その後、分散液に1Mの水酸化ナトリウム水溶液75質量部を添加して中和することにより、アセタール化反応を停止させた。アセタール化物の固体内部まで中和するため、分散液を60℃でさらに8時間撹拌した。中和されたアセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、アセタール化物を洗浄した。再び、アセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し、60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、2回目のアセタール化物の洗浄を行った。洗浄水を濾去し、60℃にて真空乾燥を8時間実施することでペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-8)を103質量部(収率100%)得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物のエチレン単位は38モル%、ビニルアルコール単位は43.4モル%、アセタール化度は30モル%であった。また、得られたEVOHのアセタール化物は、原料であるEVOH6と同様の細孔構造を有する多孔質体であった。
得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-8)のシンメトリー係数は0.90、Tgは50℃、Tmは149℃、Tm/Tg(K/K)は1.31、SP値は12.0(cal/cm3)1/2、メソ/ラセモ比率は2.1であった。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シートを1週間23℃、50%RHの恒温恒湿槽に静置し、可塑剤のブリードアウトを確認したところ、1週間静置後もブリードアウトは見られなかった。また、樹脂シートを用いて実施例1と同様にして、合わせガラスを得た。
(エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物の合成)
製造例6で得られたEVOH多孔質体(EVOH6)100質量部を377質量部の水中に分散させ、イソブチルアルデヒド21.6質量部を添加し、得られた分散液を撹拌下で60℃に昇温した。2時間撹拌を継続し、イソブチルアルデヒドをエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体に含浸させた。その後、60℃にて、前記分散液に1M塩酸を10質量部添加し、アセタール化反応を行った。1回目の塩酸を添加してから2時間後に、1M塩酸を40質量部添加し、さらに4時間アセタール化反応を行った。アセタール化により生成したアセタール化物は固体状態であった。その後、分散液に1Mの水酸化ナトリウム75質量部を添加して中和することにより、アセタール化反応を停止させた。アセタール化物の固体内部まで中和するため、分散液を60℃でさらに8時間撹拌した。中和されたアセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、アセタール化物を洗浄した。再び、アセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し、60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、2回目のアセタール化物の洗浄を行った。洗浄水を濾去し、60℃にて真空乾燥を8時間実施することでペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-9)を103質量部(収率100%)得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物のエチレン単位は38モル%、ビニルアルコール単位は40.3モル%、アセタール化度は35モル%であった。また、得られたEVOHのアセタール化物は、原料であるEVOH6と同様の細孔構造を有する多孔質体であった。
得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-9)の、シンメトリー係数は0.91、Tgは47℃、Tmは146℃、Tm/Tg(K/K)は1.31、SP値は12.0(cal/cm3)1/2、メソ/ラセモ比率は3.9であった。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シートを1週間23℃、50%RHの恒温恒湿槽に静置し、可塑剤のブリードアウトを確認したところ、1週間静置後もブリードアウトは見られなかった。また、樹脂シートを用いて実施例1と同様にして、合わせガラスを得た。
実施例15で得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-2’) 100質量部およびトリエチレングリコールジ-2-エチルヘキソエート(「3G8」、SP値:9.1(cal/cm3)1/2) 7.5質量部を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シートを1週間23℃、50%RHの恒温恒湿槽に静置し、可塑剤のブリードアウトを確認したところ、3日静置後にブリードアウトが見られた。樹脂シートを用いて実施例1と同様にして、合わせガラスを得た。
実施例15で得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(A-2’) 100質量部およびグリセリンモノ12-ヒドロキシステアレート(GMS-12)(理研ビタミン社製「HC-12」、SP値:12.1(cal/cm3)1/2) 10.0質量部を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シートを1週間23℃、50%RHの恒温恒湿槽に静置し、可塑剤のブリードアウトを確認したところ、3日静置後にブリードアウトが見られた。樹脂シートを用いて実施例1と同様にして、合わせガラスを得た。
比較例12で得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(B-1’) 100質量部およびアジピン酸ビス(2-ブトキシエチル)(東京化成社製:DBEA) 4.0質量部を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シートを1週間23℃、50%RHの恒温恒湿槽に静置し、可塑剤のブリードアウトを確認したところ、3日静置後にブリードアウトが見られた。樹脂シートを用いて実施例1と同様にして、合わせガラスを得た。
比較例12で得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(B-1’) 100質量部、ポリプロピレングリコール(平均分子量400:三洋化成社製、「サンニックスPP-400」(SP値10.4))) 11.5質量部および、フェノール系酸化防止剤(BASFジャパン株式会社製、「Irganox1010」) 0.02質量部を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シートを1週間23℃、50%RHの恒温恒湿槽に静置し、可塑剤のブリードアウトを確認したところ、7日静置後もブリードアウトは見られなかった。樹脂シートを用いて実施例1と同様にして、合わせガラスを得た。
比較例13で得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(B-4’) 100質量部および、ポリプロピレングリコール(平均分子量400:三洋化成社製、「サンニックスPP-400」、SP値10.4(cal/cm3)1/2) 10.0質量部を、ラボプラストミルを用いてチャンバー温度200℃、回転数100rpmにて3分間溶融混練し、チャンバー内容物を取り出し、冷却して溶融混練物を得た。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シート作成直後に可塑剤のブリードアウトが確認されたため、樹脂シートの分析及び合わせガラスの作製は実施しなかった。
(エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物の合成)
製造例6で得られたEVOH多孔質体(EVOH6)100質量部を377質量部の水中に分散させ、イソブチルアルデヒド1.6質量部を添加し、得られた分散液を撹拌下で60℃に昇温した。2時間撹拌を継続し、イソブチルアルデヒドをエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体に含浸させた。その後、60℃にて、前記分散液に1M塩酸を10質量部添加し、アセタール化反応を行った。1回目の塩酸を添加してから2時間後に、1M塩酸を40質量部添加し、さらに6時間アセタール化反応を行った。アセタール化により生成したアセタール化物は固体状態であった。その後、分散液に1Mの水酸化ナトリウム75質量部を添加して中和することにより、アセタール化反応を停止させた。アセタール化物の固体内部まで中和するため、分散液を60℃でさらに8時間撹拌した。中和されたアセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、アセタール化物を洗浄した。再び、アセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し、60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、2回目のアセタール化物の洗浄を行った。洗浄水を濾去し、60℃にて真空乾燥を8時間実施することでペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(B-6)を103質量部(収率100%)得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物のエチレン単位は38モル%、ビニルアルコール単位は60.3モル%、アセタール化度は2.6モル%であった。また、得られたEVOHのアセタール化物は、原料であるEVOH6と同様の細孔構造を有する多孔質体であった。
得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(B-6)の、シンメトリー係数は0.78、Tgは54℃、Tmは167℃、Tm/Tg(K/K)は1.35、SP値は13.1、メソ/ラセモ比率はピーク強度が低く、算出不可であった。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シート作成直後に可塑剤のブリードアウトが確認されたため、樹脂シートの分析及び合わせガラスの作製は実施しなかった。
(エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物の合成)
製造例1で得られたEVOH多孔質体(EVOH1)100質量部を377質量部の水中に分散させ、イソブチルアルデヒド33.0質量部を添加し、得られた分散液を撹拌下で60℃に昇温した。2時間撹拌を継続し、イソブチルアルデヒドをエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体に含浸させた。その後、60℃にて、前記分散液に1M塩酸を10質量部添加し、アセタール化反応を行った。1回目の塩酸を添加してから2時間後に、1M塩酸を40質量部添加し、さらに6時間アセタール化反応を行った。アセタール化により生成したアセタール化物は固体状態であった。その後、分散液に1Mの水酸化ナトリウム75質量部を添加して中和することにより、アセタール化反応を停止させた。アセタール化物の固体内部まで中和するため、分散液を60℃でさらに8時間撹拌した。中和されたアセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、アセタール化物を洗浄した。再び、アセタール化物を濾取し、該アセタール化物にイオン交換水500質量部を添加し、60℃で6時間撹拌することにより、2回目のアセタール化物の洗浄を行った。洗浄水を濾去し、60℃にて真空乾燥を8時間実施することでペレット状のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(B-7)を103質量部(収率100%)得た。得られたEVOHのアセタール化物のエチレン単位は44モル%、ビニルアルコール単位は24.4モル%、アセタール化度は56モル%であった。また、得られたEVOHのアセタール化物は、原料であるEVOH1と同様の細孔構造を有する多孔質体であった。
得られたエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物(B-7)の、シンメトリー係数は0.89、Tgは42℃、Tmは125℃、Tm/Tg(K/K)は1.26、SP値は10.7、メソ/ラセモ比率は6.7であった。
得られた溶融混錬物を用いて、実施例1と同様にして、樹脂シートを得た。樹脂シートを1週間23℃、50%RHの恒温恒湿槽に静置し、可塑剤のブリードアウトを確認したところ、7日静置後もブリードアウトは見られなかった。樹脂シートを用いて実施例1と同様にして、合わせガラスを得た。
したがって、本発明のエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物および組成物は、優れた透明性および耐貫通性を有し、高温環境下における自立性および耐クリープ性に優れた樹脂シートを形成し得る。
Claims (16)
- エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物であって、
前記アセタール化物を構成する全単量体単位を基準にして、
20~80モル%のエチレン単位、および
4~76モル%のビニルアルコール単位
を含み、
アセタール化度は5~80モル%であり、

〔式(1)中、W0.05h/2fは、JIS K 0124:2011に準拠して、水-エタノール溶離液による逆相分配グラジエント高速液体クロマトグラフィー分析により求められるシンメトリー係数を表す〕

〔式(2)中、TmおよびTgは、それぞれJIS K7121:2012に準拠して測定される融解ピーク温度(ケルビン)および中間点ガラス転移温度(ケルビン)を表す〕
を満たす、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物。 - エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体のアセタール化物であって、
前記アセタール化物を構成する全単量体単位を基準にして、
20~80モル%のエチレン単位、および
4~76モル%のビニルアルコール単位
を含み、
アセタール化度は5~80モル%であり、

- SP値が12.6(cal/cm3)1/2以下である、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のアセタール化物。
- アセタール化度が5~62モル%である、請求項1~4のいずれかに記載のアセタール化物。
- 請求項1~5のいずれかに記載のアセタール化物(A)、および
前記アセタール化物(A)以外の樹脂(B)、可塑剤、酸化防止剤および紫外線吸収剤からなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの成分
を含み、前記アセタール化物(A)の含有量は70質量%以上である、組成物。 - JIS K7121:2012に準拠して測定される融解ピーク温度Tmsは120℃~180℃である、請求項6に記載の組成物。
- 可塑剤の含有量は、前記アセタール化物(A)100質量部に対して40質量部以下である、請求項6または7に記載の組成物。
- 可塑剤の含有量は、前記アセタール化物(A)100質量部に対して10~40質量部である、請求項6~8のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 可塑剤のSP値は、9.2~12.0(cal/cm3)1/2である、請求項6~9のいずれかに記載の組成物。
- 樹脂(B)は、エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体および/または下記式(3):

〔式(4)中、ΔHAは、示差走査熱量計(DSC)を用い、昇温速度10℃/分で25℃から140℃まで昇温し、140℃で30分間保持した後、降温速度4℃/分で140℃から-30℃まで降温し、再度昇温速度10℃/分で-30℃から200℃まで昇温したときに測定される結晶融解熱量を示し、ΔHAHは、前記ΔHAを145℃でピーク分割したときの高温側の結晶融解熱量を示す〕
を満たす、請求項6~11のいずれかに記載の組成物。 - (i)エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体、アルデヒドおよび溶媒を含む分散液を調製し、アルデヒドの少なくとも一部をエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体中に含浸させる工程、および
(ii)工程(i)の後、分散液に触媒を添加してエチレンビニルアルコール共重合体をアセタール化する工程
を含み、
前記エチレンビニルアルコール共重合体は多孔質体であり、
前記アセタール化を固液反応により行う、請求項1~5のいずれかに記載のアセタール化物を製造する方法。 - 請求項1~5のいずれかに記載のアセタール化物または請求項6~12のいずれかに記載の組成物を含有する層を1層以上含む、樹脂シート。
- 請求項14に記載の樹脂シートからなる、合わせガラス用中間膜。
- 2つのガラス板と、該2つのガラス板の間に配置された請求項15に記載の合わせガラス用中間膜とを有する、合わせガラス。
