Description
最初に本開示の実施態様を列記して説明する。
本開示のパネル取付型コネクタは、
(1)コネクタ取付孔を有するパネルに取り付けられるパネル取付型コネクタであって、前記コネクタ取付孔から前記パネルの外側に突出する内フードを有し、前記パネルに取り付けられるパネル側ハウジングと、前記内フードの内側に嵌合するインナーハウジングと、前記パネルの外側に配されて前記内フードの外側に嵌合する外フードを有し、前記インナーハウジングが取り付けられたアウターハウジングと、前記インナーハウジングと前記外フードがともに前記内フードに嵌合した状態で前記パネルにおける前記コネクタ取付孔の外周縁部と前記外フードの先端部との間に挟持されるパネルシールと、前記外フードに対し嵌合開始位置と嵌合完了位置との間で移動可能に取り付けられ、前記嵌合開始位置から前記嵌合完了位置に移動することで前記インナーハウジングと前記外フードをともに前記内フードに嵌合させるレバーと、を備える、パネル取付型コネクタである。
外フードはレバー装着孔を有しているため、レバー装着孔から外フードの内部に水が浸入するおそれがある。しかしながら、レバー装着孔は、外フードと内フードの嵌合方向において第1フードシールと第2フードシールの間に位置しているから、外フードの内部からコネクタ取付孔に水が浸入したり、パネル側ハウジングに水が浸入したりすることを回避できる。
このようにすると、シールの部品点数を減らすことができる。
本開示のパネル取付型コネクタ10の具体例を、以下に図面を参照しつつ説明する。なお、本開示はこれらの例示に限定されるものではなく、特許請求の範囲によって示され、特許請求の範囲と均等の意味および範囲内でのすべての変更が含まれることが意図される。
本開示のパネル取付型コネクタ10は、パネル1に取り付けられるコネクタであって、雄コネクタ20と、雄コネクタ20に嵌合可能な雌コネクタ30と、を備えている。図11に示すように、パネル1には、コネクタ取付孔2が設けられている。雄コネクタ20はコネクタ取付孔2に挿入された状態でパネル1に予め取り付けられた待受け側コネクタとされている。なお、前後方向とは雄コネクタ20と雌コネクタ30の嵌合方向を基準として、互いの嵌合面側を前側とする。
雄コネクタ20は、図9に示すように、雄ハウジング21と、複数の雄端子M1、M2と、を備えている。複数の雄端子M1、M2は、小型の雄端子M1と、雄端子M1よりも大きい大型の雄端子M2と、を含む。雄ハウジング21は合成樹脂製であって、各雄端子M1、M2が収容される複数のキャビティ22が形成された雄ハウジング本体23と、雄ハウジング本体23の前面における周縁から前方に突出する形態で設けられた内フード24と、を備えている。内フード24は前方に開口するフード状をなしている。
図9に示すように、雌コネクタ30は、雌ハウジング40と、複数の雌端子F1、F2と、ホルダ50と、レバー60と、ボトムシール70と、トップシール80と、を備えている。複数の雌端子F1、F2は、小型の雌端子F1と、雌端子F1よりも大きい大型の雌端子F2と、を含む。小型の雌端子F1の内部に小型の雄端子M1が嵌合してこれらが導通可能に接続される。大型の雌端子F2の内部に大型の雄端子M2が嵌合してこれらが導通可能に接続される。
雌ハウジング40は合成樹脂製であって、各雌端子F1、F2が収容される複数のキャビティ41を有している。雌ハウジング40は、雄ハウジング21の内フード24の内側に嵌合可能とされている。
ホルダ50は合成樹脂製であって、雌ハウジング40が内部に収容される外フード51と、雌端子F1、F2に接続された電線Wを収容する電線収容部52と、雌ハウジング40を固定するハウジング固定部53と、を備えている。外フード51は、雄ハウジング21の内フード24の外側に嵌合可能とされている。
トップシール80はゴムなどの弾性部材であって、環状に構成されている。トップシール80には、図5に示すように、シール係止孔53Hに入り込んでハウジング固定部53に後方から係止するトップシール係止部81が設けられている。トップシール係止部81がハウジング固定部53に係止することでトップシール80がトップシール装着溝53Gに収容された状態に保持されている。
図3に示すように、外フード51の先端部51Tには、ボトムシール装着溝51Gが設けられている。ボトムシール装着溝51Gは後方に凹む形態とされている。ボトムシール装着溝51Gは外フード51の内周面に沿って周方向にのびて設けられている。ボトムシール70は、ボトムシール装着溝51Gの内周面に装着されている。外フード51の先端部51Tのうち長辺部51L側においては、ボトムシール装着溝51Gに連通する複数のシール係止孔51Hが設けられている。
レバー60は合成樹脂製であって、図4に示すように、全体として門形とされている。レバー60は、対向状態で配置された一対のレバー本体61と、一対のレバー本体61の端部同士を連結するレバー操作部62と、を備えている。レバー本体61におけるレバー操作部62と反対側の端部には、レバー軸部63が設けられている。レバー軸部63は円形状に突出した軸状とされている。レバー軸部63の突出端には一対のレバー係止部64が設けられている。
次に、パネル取付型コネクタ10の動作説明を行う。図8に示すように、嵌合開始時には雄コネクタ20の嵌合用突部28が一対のレバー係止部64の間に進入するように両コネクタ20、30を浅く嵌合させておき、レバー60を嵌合開始位置から嵌合完了位置に向けて回動させると、一方のレバー係止部64が嵌合用突部28に係合することで両コネクタ20、30の嵌合が進行する。
パネル取付型コネクタ10は、コネクタ取付孔2を有するパネル1に取り付けられるパネル取付型コネクタ10であって、コネクタ取付孔2からパネル1の外側に突出する内フード24を有し、パネル1に取り付けられる雄ハウジング21と、内フード24の内側に嵌合する雌ハウジング40と、パネル1の外側に配されて内フード24の外側に嵌合する外フード51を有し、雌ハウジング40が取り付けられたホルダ50と、雌ハウジング40と外フード51がともに内フード24に嵌合した状態でパネル1におけるコネクタ取付孔2の外周縁部3と外フード51の先端部51Tとの間に挟持されるリップ72と、外フード51に対し嵌合開始位置と嵌合完了位置との間で移動可能に取り付けられ、嵌合開始位置から嵌合完了位置に移動することで雌ハウジング40と外フード51をともに内フード24に嵌合させるレバー60と、を備える、パネル取付型コネクタ10である。
外フード51はレバー装着孔55を有しているため、レバー装着孔55から外フード51の内部に水が浸入するおそれがある。しかしながら、レバー装着孔55は、外フード51と内フード24の嵌合方向においてボトムシール70とトップシール80の間に位置しているから、外フード51の内部からコネクタ取付孔2に水が浸入したり、雄ハウジング21に水が浸入したりすることを回避できる。
このようにすると、シールの部品点数を減らすことができる。
(1)上記実施形態では回動可能なレバー60を例示したが、スライド可能なレバーでもよい。

- コネクタ取付孔を有するパネルに取り付けられるパネル取付型コネクタであって、
前記コネクタ取付孔から前記パネルの外側に突出する内フードを有し、前記パネルに取り付けられるパネル側ハウジングと、
前記内フードの内側に嵌合するインナーハウジングと、
前記パネルの外側に配されて前記内フードの外側に嵌合する外フードを有し、前記インナーハウジングが取り付けられたアウターハウジングと、
前記インナーハウジングと前記外フードがともに前記内フードに嵌合した状態で前記パネルにおける前記コネクタ取付孔の外周縁部と前記外フードの先端部との間に挟持されるパネルシールと、
前記外フードに対し嵌合開始位置と嵌合完了位置との間で移動可能に取り付けられ、前記嵌合開始位置から前記嵌合完了位置に移動することで前記インナーハウジングと前記外フードをともに前記内フードに嵌合させるレバーと、を備える、パネル取付型コネクタ。 - 前記インナーハウジングと前記外フードがともに前記内フードに嵌合した状態で前記外フードの先端部における内周面と前記内フードの基端部における外周面との間に挟持される第1フードシールと、
前記インナーハウジングと前記外フードがともに前記内フードに嵌合した状態で前記外フードの基端部における内周面と前記内フードの先端部における外周面との間に挟持される第2フードシールと、を備え、
前記外フードは、前記レバーが装着されるレバー装着孔を有しており、
前記レバー装着孔は、前記外フードと前記内フードの嵌合方向において前記第1フードシールと前記第2フードシールの間に位置している、請求項1に記載のパネル取付型コネクタ。 - 前記パネルシールと前記第1フードシールは一体に連なって構成されている、請求項2に記載のパネル取付型コネクタ。
