- A61Q15/00—Anti-perspirants or body deodorants
Definitions
- the subject of the invention relates to a body care composition, which, without hindering the perspiration and without harming the beneficial bacteria, prevents the unpleasant body odor originating from the bacteria and which performs said function by regulating the skin flora and by eliminating only those bacteria causing the smell of sweat, and to a body care product comprising said composition.
- the balancing of the body temperature level, the excretion of the harmful toxins in the body and the blood and the moisturizing of the skin are provided by means of the odorless fluid called sweat, which is secreted by the sweat glands in the body and is excreted from the body through the pores.
- the odor given off following the secretion of the sweat at the regions of the body where the sweat is secreted originates from the metabolism residues released by the microorganisms present in the skin flora, most of the time the bacteria Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus hominis, after they feed on said fluid.
- the antiperspirant cosmetic products are used for the purpose of controlling and eliminating the perspiration and odor development in the armpit region.
- the deodorants are the leading items among the most preferred antiperspirant products. These products contain aluminum chlorohydrate, aluminum chloride, aluminum zirconium trichlorohydrex glycine and similar aluminum salts as the antiperspirant active ingredient. These salts reduce the release of sweat from the sweat glands by gelling in the areas over the sweat glands and by temporarily clogging these areas.
- the antiperspirant products with their pH levels, reduce the moisture in the armpit region in addition to reducing the release of sweat, thereby preventing the growth of bacteria and development of odor.
- the aluminum salts disrupt the balance of the armpit flora by reducing the number of the beneficial bacteria while attempting to eliminate the bacteria growing and leading to unpleasant odor after the perspiration in the armpit, and as a result, they increase the risk for the development of infection in the body.
- the thermal balance of the body is not able to be provided and the metabolic residues are not able to be excreted from the body.
- the body toxins that may not be excreted from the body due to the clogging of the pores accumulate near the lymph glands located in the armpit and being an important part of the immune system of the body and reenter the circulatory system in the course of time.
- a care composition and a care product which, owing to their natural prebiotic ingredients, prevent the unpleasant odor simply by way of elimination of the bacteria and are suitable for use in many regions of the body, have been developed within the scope of the invention. Owing to the elimination of the bacteria, the metabolism residues originating from the bacteria and causing the unpleasant odor will not form.
- the composition and product according to the invention are free of the antiperspirant aluminum compounds, and thus, the pores are not clogged, the natural perspiration function of the body is allowed to take place, the natural flora of the armpit is balanced and no health problem is experienced.
- An object of the invention is to develop a body care composition and product, which prevent the development of unpleasant odor without harming the beneficial bacteria in the body and perform said function by balancing the skin flora and by hindering the growth of the bacteria causing the unpleasant odor.
- Another object of the invention is to develop a body care composition and product, which do not contain paraben, alcohol and aluminum salts and/or chemical agents with similar function and therefore do not clog the pores and do not prevent the perspiration.
- Another object of the invention is to develop a wet wipe comprising the composition with the features mentioned in the previous two objects of the invention.
