Abstract

La présente invention concerne un matériau composite destiné à tuer un microbe par contact. Le matériau composite comprend un substrat tel que des fibres de coton; un matériau contenant du silicium tel que des silicates, des silanes et des siloxanes; et une pluralité de nanoparticules comprenant Cu2O. Le matériau composite est fabriqué par fourniture d'un matériau intermédiaire formé à partir d'un matériau de substrat et d'un matériau contenant du silicium; et fixation d'une pluralité de nanoparticules comprenant Cu2O sur le matériau contenant du silicium. Les nanoparticules peuvent être fixées au matériau intermédiaire par des procédés tels que le revêtement par immersion ou le revêtement par pulvérisation. Le matériau composite peut être utilisé en tant que surface antimicrobienne.
