Abstract
본 발명은 실링부재가 적용된 배터리 시스템에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 실링부재가 적용된 배터리 셀은 배터리; 및 상기 배터리 상에 형성된 실링층;을 포함하고, 상기 실링층은, 외부 기체를 차단하는 기밀층(gas-tight layer), 외부 기체 및 액체를 차단하는 방습층, 외부 충격을 완충하는 완충층 및 절연층을 포함할 수 있다.
Description
본 발명은 배터리 시스템에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 실링부재가 적용된 배터리 시스템에 관한 것이다.
전기 에너지는 배터리를 이용해서 저장될 수 있다. 배터리는 화학 반응 에너지를 전기 에너지로 변환한다. 이경우, 1차 배터리와 2차 배터리가 구별된다. 1차 배터리는 단 한 번만 기능을 하는 반면, 축전지라고도 지칭되는 2차 배터리는 재충전이 가능하다. 축전지 내에는 특히 리튬 이온 배터리 셀이 사용된다.
이 경우, 기존의 상용화된 해양 장치들의 경우 육상에서 사용하는 전지, 예를 들어, 리튬 이온 전지 또는 납축 전지 등을 그대로 사용하여, 전지의 침수 및 부식으로 인한 수명, 안정성, 해양오염 등의 문제점이 발생한다.

또한, 본 발명은 외부 용액이 내부에 유입 및 유출될 수 있는 홀 구조가 적용된 배터리 시스템을 제공하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다.
본 발명의 목적들은 이상에서 언급한 목적들로 제한되지 않으며, 언급되지 않은 또 다른 목적들은 아래의 기재로부터 명확하게 이해될 수 있을 것이다.
상기한 목적들을 달성하기 위하여, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 실링부재가 적용된 배터리 셀은 배터리; 및 상기 배터리 상에 형성된 실링층;을 포함하고, 상기 실링층은, 외부 기체를 차단하는 기밀층(gas-tight layer), 외부 기체 및 액체를 차단하는 방습층, 외부 충격을 완충하는 완충층 및 절연층을 포함할 수 있다.

이하, 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 실링부재가 적용된 배터리 시스템을 설명한다. 일 실시예에서, 배터리 시스템은 배터리 셀, 배터리 모듈, 배터리 팩 및 배터리 박스 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
도 1은 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리 셀(100)을 도시한 도면이다.
도 1을 참고하면, 배터리 셀(100)은 배터리(110) 및 배터리(110) 상에 형성된 실링층(120)을 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 배터리(110)는 1차 전지 및 2차 전지 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 배터리(110)는 리튬 이온 전지를 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 실링층(120)은 열수축 튜브층(121), 기밀층(gas-tight layer)(122), 방습층(123), 완충층(124), 방열층(125), 절연층(126) 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 실링층(120)은 실링의 완성도를 높일 수 있는 부재들인 상기 다양한 층들을 포함할 수 있다.
열수축 튜브층(121)은 열수축 튜브 소재로 구성될 수 있으며, 이를 통해 내충격성, 고정성, 내열성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 예를 들어, 열수축 튜브층(121)은 실리콘(silicon)으로 구성될 수 있다.
기밀층(122)은 외부 기체를 차단할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 기밀층(122)은 폴리프로필렌(polypropylene)으로 구성될 수 있다. 일 실시예에서, 기밀층(122)은 배터리(110)의 실링 및 기밀도를 유지시킬 수 있다.
방습층(123)은 외부 기체 및 액체를 차단할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 방습층(123)은 알루미늄(aluminum)으로 구성될 수 있다.
완충층(124)은 외부 충격을 완충할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 완충층(124)은 나일론(nylon)으로 구성될 수 있다. 일 실시예에서, 완충층(124)은 충격 보호뿐만 아니라 전기 절연 기능을 수행할 수 있다.
방열층(125)은 전달된 열을 분산시킬 수 있다. 예를 들어, 방열층(125)은 열 전도 물질로 구성될 수 있다.
절연층(126)은 전기 절연 기능을 수행할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 절연층(126)은 폴리에틸렌(polyethylene)으로 구성될 수 있다. 일 실시예에서, 절연층(126)은 습성 및 내후성이 뛰어나고, 마모를 방지해주며, 전기 절연 기능을 수행할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 실링층(120)을 구성하는 다양한 층들의 재료 및 실링 순서는 제한되지 않으며 다양하게 변경될 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 배터리 셀(100)은 실링된 배터리(110)의 전기를 외부로 전달하기 위한 전극(electrode)을 더 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 실링층(120)에 의해 실링된 배터리 셀(100)은 해수(seawater)에 함침된 후 사용될 수 있다. 이와 같이, 본 발명에 따른 배터리 셀(100)은 극한 해양환경에 안전할 수 있도록 배터리(110)에 여러 겹의 소재들을 실링하여 해양 특화 전지로 제작될 수 있다.
이 경우, 충격 보호, 절연, 열 분산, 기체 및 수분 차단 등의 역할을 수행하는 실링층(120)의 각 소재들을 순차적으로 배터리(110)에 실링하여 해양 환경으로부터 안전하게 보호할 수 있다.
또한, 본 발명에 따른 배터리 셀(100)은 실링층(120)을 통해 배터리(110)를 안전하게 보호하면서도 해수에 함침되어 해수 자체의 쿨링 효과를 통해 배터리(110)의 과열을 방지하여 폭발 위험성을 낮출 수 있으며, 극한 해양환경으로 인한 침수, 부식 및 환경오염 문제를 방지할 수 있다.
도 2는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리 모듈(200)을 도시한 도면이다.
도 2를 참고하면, 배터리 모듈(200)은 다수의 배터리(210) 및 다수의 배터리(210)의 외부에 형성된 실링 프레임(220)을 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 일 실시예에서, 배터리 관리 시스템(battery management system, BMS)이 필요 시, 배터리 모듈(200)은 배터리 관리 시스템을 더 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 배터리 모듈(200)에 수용되는 배터리(210)의 개수는 제한되지 않으며, 설계에 따라 조절될 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 실링 프레임(220)은 실링층을 포함할 수 있으며, 실링층은 열수축 튜브층, 기밀층, 방습층, 완충층, 방열층, 절연층 중 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
열수축 튜브층은 열수축 튜브 소재로 구성될 수 있으며, 이를 통해 내충격성, 고정성, 내열성을 향상시킬 수 있다. 예를 들어, 열수축 튜브층은 실리콘으로 구성될 수 있다.

일 실시예에서, 배터리 팩(300)에 수용되는 배터리 셀(310)은 도 1의 배터리 셀(100)을 포함할 수 있다. 일 실시예에서, 배터리 팩(300)에 수용되는 배터리 셀(310)은 도 2의 배터리 모듈(200)을 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 배터리 팩(300)에 수용되는 배터리 셀(310)의 개수는 제한되지 않으며, 설계에 따라 조절될 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 외부 케이스(320)는 외부 용액을 내부로 유입시키는 적어도 하나의 홀(hole)(330)을 포함할 수 있다. 예를 들어, 외부 용액은 해수를 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 다수의 배터리 셀(310)은 적어도 하나의 홀(330)을 통해 유입된 외부 용액에 함침될 수 있다. 즉, 배터리 팩(300)의 적어도 하나의 홀(330)은 외부 용액이 배터리 팩(300) 내부로 유입 또는 유출될 수 있도록 하여 배터리 팩(300) 내부에 위치한 배터리 셀(310)을 냉각시켜 과열되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 배터리 팩(300)은 다수 개로 구성될 수 있으며, 이 경우, 각 배터리 팩(300)은 서로 연결될 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 외부 케이스(320)의 크기 및 형태는 다양하게 구현될 수 있다. 또한, 외부 케이스(320)는 플라스틱 소재로 구현될 수 있으나, 이에 제한되지 않는다.
일 실시예에서, 배터리 팩(300)은 배터리 팩(300)을 제어할 수 있는 제어부를 포함하는 배터리 관리 시스템(battery management system, BMS)을 더 포함할 수 있다.
도 4a 내지 4d는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리 박스(400)를 도시한 도면이다.
도 4a 내지 4d를 참고하면, 배터리 박스(400)는 적어도 하나의 배터리(410), 내부에 적어도 하나의 배터리(410)를 수용하는 하우징(420)을 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 하우징(420)은 적어도 하나의 배터리(410) 각각을 수용하는 적어도 하나의 수용홀(422) 및 외부 용액이 내부로 유입되어 통과하는 적어도 하나의 관통홀(424)을 포함할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 적어도 하나의 수용홀(422)의 일측은, 적어도 하나의 배터리(410)가 수용되도록 개방될 수 있다. 또한, 적어도 하나의 수용홀(422)의 타측은, 적어도 하나의 배터리(410)가 고정되도록 폐쇄될 수 있다. 적어도 하나의 수용홀(422)은 적어도 하나의 배터리(410)를 수용함으로써, 배터리(410)의 위치를 고정할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 적어도 하나의 일측과 타측은 외부 용액이 내부로 유입되어 통과하도록 개방될 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 하우징(420)은 적어도 하나의 수용홀(422)의 일측 상에 형성되어, 적어도 하나의 수용홀(422)의 개방된 일측을 실링하는 실링 부재(440)을 포함할 수 있다.

도 5a 내지 5e를 참고하면, 관통홀(424)은 수용홀(422)에 수용된 배터리(410)를 냉각시킬 수 있도록 수용홀(422) 사이에 배치될 수 있다.
이 경우, 관통홀(424)의 형태는 외부 용액이 유입될 수 있도록 다양한 형태로 구현될 수 있다. 예를 들어, 관통홀(424)의 형태는 원형(circle), 다이아몬드형(diamond), 육각형(hexagon) 등 다양한 형태로 구현될 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 수용홀(422)과 관통홀(424)의 크기, 모양 및 개수는 설계에 따라 다양하게 구현될 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 도 5e를 참고하면, 배터리(410)를 수용하는 수용홀(422)이 관통홀(424)을 둘러싸는 육각형태로 배치될 수 있다. 이 경우, 육각형태의 배치구조는 반복유닛 형태로 배치될 수 있으며, 이에 따라, 배터리(410)는 일정한 크기의 배터리 박스(400) 내에 최대한 컴팩트하게, 즉, 밀도 있게 패키징될 수 있다.
이 때, 모든 배터리(410)의 두 면이 관통홀(424)과 균일하게 맞닿게 됨으로써 최적의 조건으로 배터리(410)를 냉각시켜 과열되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
도 6a 내지 6c는 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 배터리 연결회로 및 전선(500)을 도시한 도면이다.
도 6a 내지 6c를 참고하면, 배터리 연결회로 및 전선(500)은 배터리의 개수 및 연결 방법에 따라 다양한 전압 및 용량을 구현할 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 배터리는 직렬 또는 병렬 형태로 설계에 따른 전압 과 용량을 사용할 수 있도록 연결될 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 배터리 연결회로 및 전선(500)은 배터리 시스템 내부에 안전하게 보호될 수 있도록 배치될 수 있다. 배터리 연결회로 및 전선(500)에 결합된 전극은 배터리 시스템의 외부에 형성될 수 있다.
일 실시예에서, 배터리 연결회로 및 전선(500)은 외부 용액이 유입 및 유출되는 경로 이외의 경로로 배치되어 외부 용액과 직접적으로 접촉하지 않을 수 있다.
도 6b 및 6c에서는 배터리 박스(400)에 적용된 배터리 연결회로 및 전선(500)이 도시되어 있지만, 배터리 연결회로 및 전선(500)은 다양한 배터리 시스템에 적용될 수 있다.

- 제4항에 있어서,상기 기밀층은, 폴리프로필렌(polypropylene)으로 구성되고,상기 방습층은, 알루미늄(aluminum)으로 구성되고,상기 완충층은, 나일론(nylon)으로 구성되며,상기 절연층은, 폴리에틸렌(polyethylene)으로 구성되는,실링부재가 적용된 배터리 모듈.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 실링 프레임은,열수축 튜브층 및 열을 분산시키는 방열층 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함하는,실링부재가 적용된 배터리 모듈.
- 다수의 제1항의 배터리 셀; 및상기 다수의 배터리 셀의 외부에 형성되고, 상기 다수의 배터리 셀의 위치를 고정시키는 외부 케이스;를 포함하고,상기 외부 케이스는, 외부 용액을 내부로 유입시키는 적어도 하나의 홀(hole)을 포함하는,실링부재가 적용된 배터리 팩.
- 제7항에 있어서,상기 다수의 배터리 셀은, 상기 적어도 하나의 홀을 통해 유입된 외부 용액에 함침되는,실랭부재가 적용된 배터리 팩.
- 적어도 하나의 배터리; 및내부에 상기 적어도 하나의 배터리를 수용하는 하우징;을 포함하고,상기 하우징은, 상기 적어도 하나의 배터리 각각을 수용하는 적어도 하나의 수용홀 및 외부 용액이 내부로 유입되어 통과하는 적어도 하나의 관통홀을 포함하고,상기 하우징은, 외부 기체를 차단하는 기밀층(gas-tight layer), 외부 기체 및 수분을 차단하는 방습층, 외부 충격을 완충하는 완충층 및 절연층을 포함하는,실링부재가 적용된 배터리 박스.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 기밀층은, 폴리프로필렌(polypropylene)으로 구성되고,상기 방습층은, 알루미늄(aluminum)으로 구성되고,상기 완충층은, 나일론(nylon)으로 구성되며,상기 절연층은, 폴리에틸렌(polyethylene)으로 구성되는,실링부재가 적용된 배터리 박스.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 하우징은,열수축 튜브층 및 열을 분산시키는 방열층 중 적어도 하나를 더 포함하는,실링부재가 적용된 배터리 박스.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 적어도 하나의 수용홀의 일측은, 상기 적어도 하나의 배터리가 수용되도록 개방되고,상기 적어도 하나의 수용홀의 타측은, 상기 수용된 적어도 하나의 배터리가 고정되도록 폐쇄되는,실링부재가 적용된 배터리 박스.
- 제12항에 있어서,상기 하우징은, 상기 적어도 하나의 수용홀의 일측 상에 형성되어 상기 적어도 하나의 수용홀의 개방된 일측을 실링하는 실링 부재를 포함하는,실링부재가 적용된 배터리 박스.
- 제13항에 있어서,상기 적어도 하나의 관통홀의 일측과 타측은, 상기 외부 용액이 내부로 유입되어 통과하도록 개방된,실링 부재가 적용된 배터리 박스.
- 제14항에 있어서,상기 실링 부재는, 상기 적어도 하나의 관통홀의 일측 상에 형성되어, 상기 적어도 하나의 관통홀에 대응되는 위치에 상기 외부 용액이 유입되는 실링 부재홀을 포함하는,실링 부재가 적용된 배터리 박스.
