Definitions
- This disclosure relates to a driving support device that supports the driving of a vehicle.
- Driving support devices that provide various driving support have been proposed (for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2 below).
- the object to be watched here means an object that the driver of the vehicle should pay attention to, for example, a moving object (other vehicle, bicycle, pedestrian, etc.) or an obstacle (edge stone, guard rail, etc.) approaching the vehicle. ), Traffic signs and traffic lights installed in front of the vehicle, falling objects on the road in front of the vehicle, etc.
- Patent Documents 1 and 2 are based on the premise that the shape of the driver's field of view (wide field of view) is constant. However, in reality, the shape of the driver's visual field changes depending on the shape of the eyelids, for example, when the driver squints, the visual field narrows up and down. In the techniques of Patent Documents 1 and 2, since such a change in the shape of the visual field is not taken into consideration, the accuracy of determining whether or not the driver recognizes the object to be watched when the driver moves the eyelid. Decreases.
- the present disclosure has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide a driving support device capable of estimating the degree of recognition of a driver's attention-requiring object with high accuracy.
- the driving support device includes a visual field estimation unit that estimates the driver's field of view based on the shape of the driver's eyelids of the vehicle, and a caution-required object detection unit that detects a caution-required object existing around the vehicle.
- the recognition level estimation unit that estimates the driver's recognition level for the items requiring attention based on the positional relationship between the driver's field of view and the items requiring attention, and the driving support for the vehicle based on the driver's recognition level for the items requiring attention. It is provided with a control unit for carrying out the above.
- the degree of recognition of the driver's attention-requiring object is estimated based on the positional relationship between the driver's visual field and the caution-required object estimated from the shape of the driver's eyelids. Therefore, it is prevented that the estimation accuracy of the recognition degree of the attention-requiring object is lowered when the driver moves the eyelid, and as a result, the estimation accuracy of the recognition degree of the attention-requiring object is improved.
- FIG. It is a block diagram which shows the structure of the driving support apparatus which concerns on Embodiment 1.
- FIG. It is a figure which shows the shape of a general field of view. It is a figure which shows the planar shape of the field of view of the driver of a vehicle. It is a figure which shows the relationship between the opening degree of an eyelid, the shape of an eyelid, and the shape of a visual field. It is a figure which shows the shape of the field of view of the driver of a vehicle when the left eye is closed. It is a figure which shows the shape of the field of view of the driver of a vehicle when the right eye is closed.
- FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing a configuration of the driving support device 10 according to the first embodiment.
- the driving support device 10 is mounted on the vehicle, and the vehicle on which the driving support device 10 is mounted is hereinafter referred to as "own vehicle".
- the driving support device 10 does not have to be permanently installed in the own vehicle, and may be realized on a portable device such as a PND (Portable Navigation Device), a mobile phone, or a smartphone that can be brought into the vehicle.
- a part or all of the functions of the driving support device 10 may be realized on a server installed outside the own vehicle and capable of communicating with the own vehicle.
- the driving support device 10 is connected to the eyelid shape detection device 21, the peripheral detection device 22, and the notification device 23 mounted on the own vehicle.
- the eyelid shape detecting device 21 detects the shape of the driver's eyelids by analyzing an image of the driver's face of the own vehicle.
- the peripheral detection device 22 is a means for detecting an object existing in the vicinity of the own vehicle, and is composed of, for example, a camera for photographing the periphery of the own vehicle, a sensor using radio waves, sound waves, light, and the like.
- the notification device 23 is a means for notifying the driver of the own vehicle, for example, a voice output device, a display device such as a CID (Center Information Display) or a HUD (Head-Up Display), or a bodily stimulus generator such as a vibrator. Etc.
- the driving support device 10 includes a visual field estimation unit 11, a caution object detection unit 12, a recognition degree estimation unit 13, and a control unit 14.
- the field of view estimation unit 11 estimates the driver's field of view based on the shape of the driver's eyelids of the own vehicle detected by the eyelid shape detecting device 21.
- the relationship between the shape of the driver's eyelids and the visual field will be explained. It is assumed that the direction of the driver's line of sight is in front of the vehicle. Further, the front direction of the own vehicle is defined as a direction having an elevation angle of 0 degrees and a horizontal angle of 0 degrees.
- the vertical angle may represent the elevation angle as a positive angle and the depression angle as a negative angle
- the horizontal angle may represent the right side as a positive angle and the left side as a negative angle.
- the field of view of a person in the normal state is generally in the range of up to 60 degrees up, up to 70 degrees down, and up to 100 degrees to the left and right, respectively. Is known to be.
- the planar shape of the driver's field of view is as shown in FIG.
- the visual field referred to here includes both an effective visual field in which an object can be recognized instantly and a peripheral visual field which is a region around the effective visual field and in which the presence or absence of an object can be confirmed.
- FIG. 4 is a diagram showing the relationship between the opening degree of the eyelid, the shape of the eyelid, and the shape of the visual field.
- the state in which the upper eyelid is located between the center of the pupil and the upper end of the iris when looking at the front is defined as the normal state.
- the opening degree of the eyelid is expressed as the size of the maximum distance between the upper eyelid and the lower eyelid, where the maximum distance between the upper eyelid and the lower eyelid in the normal state is 100%.
- the state in which the eyelid opening is defined as 100% does not have to be a normal state.
- the state in which the upper and lower eyelids are located at the upper and lower ends of the iris is defined as the state in which the eyelid opening is 100%.
- a state in which the eyelid cannot be opened any more may be defined as a state in which the eyelid opening is 100%.
- the definition of eyelid opening is not limited to the above.
- the opening degree of the eyelid may be defined only by the distance between the upper eyelid and the pupil.
- the opening degree of the eyelid may be defined by the area of the area surrounded by the upper eyelid and the lower eyelid.
- the shape of the visual field is substantially similar to the shape of the region surrounded by the upper and lower eyelids, so that the shape of the visual field can be estimated from the shape of the eyelid.
- the shape of the visual field may be estimated to be an elliptical approximation of the shape of the eyelid.
- the shape of the visual field can be estimated from the opening degree of the eyelid. For example, it is estimated that when the eyelid opening is 50%, the upper visual field is 30 degrees, and when the eyelid opening is 25%, the upper visual field is 15 degrees.
- the ear side of the eyes closes first, so the left and right visual fields become slightly narrower as the eyelid opening becomes smaller. It is assumed to be constant regardless of the degree.
- the relationship between the opening of the eyelid and the visual field depends on the three-dimensional positional relationship between the eyelid and the eyeball, and the positional relationship varies from person to person (for example, the visual field of a person with a hanging upper eyelid). It will be narrower than the general field of view), but individual differences are ignored here.
- the eyelid shape detecting device 21 does not necessarily have to detect the shape of the upper eyelid and the shape of the lower eyelid of the driver, and may detect only the shape of the upper eyelid, for example. Further, the eyelid shape detecting device 21 does not directly detect the shape of the eyelid, but provides information for estimating the shape of the eyelid, such as the area of the area surrounded by the upper eyelid and the lower eyelid and the opening degree of the eyelid. May be detected. In that case, the field of view estimation unit 11 estimates the shape of the eyelid from the information acquired by the eyelid shape detecting device 21, and estimates the driver's field of view based on the estimated shape of the eyelid.
- the shape of the driver's eyelids changes, when the lighting of the oncoming vehicle or the sunlight is dazzling, the eyes are squinted to adjust the illuminance, when the driver takes a momentary reflex action, or when the eyes are itchy.
- There are various cases such as when dust gets into the eyes, when the upper eyelids are lowered due to fatigue, when the eyes are squinted to correct old eyes and astigmatism, and when the eyes are squinted due to habit.
- the shape of the eyelids also changes when the driver blinks (blinks), but the blink period is very short and does not substantially affect the driver's field of vision.
- the visual field estimation unit 11 may detect the driver's blink period and estimate the driver's visual field based on the shape of the driver's eyelids excluding the blink period. Alternatively, the visual field estimation unit 11 estimates the driver's visual field from the average value of the eyelid opening at regular intervals (for example, every 1 second), so that the blink period does not affect the estimation result of the driver's visual field. You may do so.
- the driver's field of view is not always symmetrical. Since the visual field of the right eye and the visual field of the left eye are different, if the driver moves only the eyelid of one eye, the visual field is not symmetrical. For example, when the driver closes only the left eye, the field of view on the left side becomes narrow as shown in FIG. 5, and when the driver closes only the right eye, the field of view on the right side becomes narrow as shown in FIG.
- the horizontal visual field with one eye is said to be in the range of up to 100 degrees on the ear side and up to 60 degrees on the nasal side. When the opening of the eyelid of one eye becomes small, the horizontal width of the visual field is hardly affected, but the vertical direction of the right side portion or the left side portion of the visual field becomes narrow. Therefore, it is preferable that the visual field estimation unit 11 estimates the visual field of the driver based on both the shape of the eyelid of the left eye and the shape of the eyelid of the right eye.
- the attention-requiring object detection unit 12 requires the driver of the vehicle to pay attention to the objects around the own vehicle detected by the peripheral detection device 22 that satisfy the predetermined conditions. Detect as a cautionary item. Items that fall under the category of cautionary objects include, for example, moving objects (other vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, etc.), obstacles (edge stones, guard rails, etc.) that exist within a certain distance from the own vehicle, and the own vehicle. Moving objects (pedestrians trying to cross in front of their own vehicle, other vehicles entering the intersection at the same time as their own vehicle, etc.), traffic signs and traffic lights installed within a certain range in front of their own vehicle, and in front of their own vehicle It is possible that the vehicle has fallen on the road.
- moving objects other vehicles, bicycles, pedestrians, etc.
- obstacles edge stones, guard rails, etc.
- the recognition degree estimation unit 13 estimates the degree of recognition of the driver's attention-requiring object based on the positional relationship between the driver's visual field estimated by the visual field estimation unit 11 and the caution-required object detected by the caution-required object detection unit 12. do.
- the recognition degree estimation unit 13 has the recognition degree of the attention-requiring object outside the field of view of 0 and the field of view. It is advisable to estimate the degree of recognition of the object requiring attention inside to be 1.
- the object to be watched is a traffic light in front of the own vehicle.
- the relationship between the distance from the own vehicle to the traffic light and the direction (elevation angle) at which the traffic light can be seen by the driver is as shown in FIG. If the driver's eyelid opening is 100%, the upper field of view is 60 degrees, so if the distance from the own vehicle to the traffic light is 2.2 m or more, the traffic light is in the driver's field of view. However, when the opening of the driver's eyelids is 50%, the upper field of view is 30 degrees, so that the traffic light is out of the driver's field of view when the distance from the own vehicle to the traffic light is less than 6.6 m.
- the elevation angle of the traffic light as seen by the driver is 45 degrees.
- the positional relationship between the driver's field of view and the traffic light at this time is as shown in FIG.
- the recognition degree estimation unit 13 estimates the recognition degree of the traffic light to be 1.
- the recognition degree estimation unit 13 estimates the recognition degree of the traffic light to be 0.
- the recognition level of items requiring attention may be expressed in multiple stages or continuous numerical values. For example, when the recognition degree of the attention-requiring object is expressed by a multi-step or continuous numerical value between 0 and 1, the recognition degree estimation unit 13 estimates that the recognition degree of the attention-requiring object outside the visual field is 0. The recognition level of the object requiring attention inside the visual field is calculated based on the distance from the center of the visual field. Specifically, the recognition degree estimation unit 13 may calculate the recognition degree of the attention-requiring object so that the recognition degree becomes higher (closer to 1) as the position of the attention-requiring object is closer to the center of the visual field.
- the recognition degree estimation unit 13 may estimate the recognition degree of the attention-requiring object based on the solid angle of the attention-requiring object (corresponding to the area where the caution-required object can be seen) in the driver's field of view. For example, when the recognition degree of an object requiring attention is expressed in two stages of 0 (non-recognition) and 1 (recognition), the recognition degree estimation unit 13 has a solid angle in the visual field that is less than a predetermined threshold value. The recognition degree of the object may be estimated to be 0, and the recognition degree of the object requiring attention whose solid angle in the visual field is equal to or larger than the threshold value may be estimated to be 1. In this case, even if the object to be watched is located inside the field of view, the recognition degree may be estimated to be 0 if the solid angle is small.
- the recognition degree estimation unit 13 increases the recognition degree as the solid angle of the attention-requiring object in the driver's field of view increases.
- the degree of recognition of the object requiring attention may be calculated so that the value becomes higher (closer to 1).
- the object to be watched is a large truck approaching the own vehicle from behind.
- the tip of a large truck traveling in the left lane of the own vehicle approaches the position of 90 degrees to the left of the driver
- the positional relationship between the driver's field of view and the large truck is shown in FIG. It will be like.
- FIG. 10 As can be seen from FIG. 10, as the opening degree of the driver's eyelids increases, the driver's field of view becomes wider, so that the solid angle (area) of the large truck in the field of view also becomes larger.
- the recognition degree estimation unit 13 estimates the recognition degree of the large truck to a high value because the solid angle of the large truck in the field of view is larger as the opening degree of the driver's eyelids is larger.
- the influence of the solid angle of the object requiring attention in the visual field on the recognition degree is larger when the solid angle is smaller, and it is considered that the recognition degree is saturated when the solid angle becomes large to some extent.
- the solid angle of the heavy-duty truck will be considerably large even if the opening of the driver's eyelids is small.
- the recognition level of a large truck may be estimated to be 1 regardless of the opening degree of the driver's eyelids.
- the recognition degree estimation unit 13 estimates the recognition degree of the object to be watched by considering both the angle from the center of the driver's field of view to the object to be watched and the solid angle of the object to be watched in the driver's field of view. You may. For example, the smaller the angle from the center of the driver's field of view to the object requiring attention, the closer the position of the object requiring attention is to the effective field of view, and it may be determined that the recognition level is high. In addition, items requiring attention with bright colors are easily recognized by the driver. Therefore, the recognition degree estimation unit 13 may estimate the recognition degree of the attention-requiring object by taking into consideration the difference in hue or pattern between the attention-requiring object and its surroundings. In addition, dynamic items requiring attention are easily recognized by the driver. Therefore, the recognition degree estimation unit 13 may estimate the recognition degree of the attention-requiring object by adding the change amount or the change speed of the relative position of the attention-requiring object with respect to the own vehicle.
- the recognition degree estimation unit 13 may estimate the recognition degree of the object requiring attention in consideration of the information of the external environment of the own vehicle.
- control unit 14 provides driving support for the own vehicle based on the recognition level of the driver's attention-requiring object estimated by the recognition level estimation unit 13.
- control unit 14 controls the notification device 23 to notify the driver of the presence of the attention-requiring object when the recognition level of the driver's attention-requiring object is equal to or less than a predetermined threshold value. ..
- FIG. 11 and 12 are diagrams showing an example of an image for notifying the presence of an object requiring attention when the notification device 23 is a HUD.
- the HUD can directly display the image (virtual image) in the driver's field of view.
- the control unit 14 may use the notification device 23. Is controlled so that the character message 31 and the icon 32 indicating that the truck exists on the left side are displayed near the left end of the windshield 30 as shown in FIG.
- control unit 14 may change the positions and contents of the character message 31 and the icon 32 according to the type of the object requiring attention and the driver's field of view. For example, if the object to be watched is a passenger car, the design of the icon 32 is changed to the image of the passenger car as shown in FIG. Further, for example, when the opening degree of the driver's left eye is small, the position of the character message 31 may be moved to the center of the windshield 30 as shown in FIG.
- the notification device 23 is a transmissive display device such as a HUD
- the control unit 14 displays an image that guides the driver's line of sight to the object requiring attention (for example, an image of an arrow moving in the direction of the object requiring attention). You may let me.
- a figure seen from the side of the vehicle body is used as an icon 32 indicating a vehicle requiring attention (hereinafter referred to as “vehicle requiring attention”), but the vehicle body is viewed in the front, rear, or diagonal direction. You may use the figure seen from.
- an image of the vehicle as seen by a rearview mirror may be used. In that case, a live-action image of the vehicle requiring attention taken by the rear camera of the own vehicle may be used as the icon 32.
- an image obtained by synthesizing a vehicle figure or a live-action image in an image (display object) imitating the frame of the rearview mirror may be used as the icon 32.
- the display position of the icon 32 indicating the vehicle requiring attention was constant, but it may be changed according to the position of the vehicle requiring attention.
- the display position of the icon 32 may be controlled so that the icon 32 is displayed at a position overlapping the vehicle requiring attention when viewed from the driving vehicle.
- the size of the icon 32 may be changed according to the size of the vehicle requiring attention.
- the icon 32 when the icon 32 is small, the icon 32 may be displayed at a position where the vehicle requiring attention from the driving vehicle overlaps with the traveling lane.
- the method in which the notification device 23 notifies the presence of an object requiring attention is not limited to the above example, and any method may be used.
- visual notification for example, an image of a cautionary object or a deformed image of a cautionary object may be displayed on the HUD or CID, and an alarm LED provided under the windshield of the own vehicle or on a pillar may be used. It is conceivable to turn it on.
- the HUD or CID may display an image showing the current lighting color of the traffic light, or the LED may be made to emit light in the same color as the current lighting color of the traffic light.
- a voice that notifies the status of the object requiring attention and the name of the moving object from the voice output device.
- the voice for notifying the cautioned object for example, if the cautioned object is another vehicle, a voice message such as "a large truck in the left lane is approaching" is preferable.
- the object to be watched is a traffic light, a voice message indicating the lighting color of the traffic light (for example, "blue") or a sound effect indicating that the lighting color of the traffic light has changed is preferable.
- the notification using sound field localization may be performed so that the voice can be heard from the direction in which the object requiring attention exists.
- contact-type (experience-based) notification may be performed by vibrating the handle.
- the control unit 14 may change the notification method according to the degree of recognition of the object requiring attention. In that case, it is preferable that the control unit 14 gives a notification that the driver can easily notice when the recognition level of the object requiring attention is low. For example, when the recognition level of the object requiring attention is relatively high, only visual notification may be performed, and when the recognition level is relatively low, visual notification and auditory notification may be used in combination. Further, it is preferable that the lower the recognition level of the object requiring attention, the more conspicuous the visual notification is, the more easily audible the auditory notification, and the stronger the stimulus.
- FIG. 13 is a flowchart showing the operation of the driving support device 10 according to the first embodiment. Hereinafter, the operation of the driving support device 10 will be described with reference to this flowchart.
- the field of view estimation unit 11 estimates the driver's field of view based on the shape of the eyelid of the driver of the own vehicle detected by the eyelid shape detecting device 21 (step S101).
- the caution-required object detection unit 12 searches for the caution-required object from the objects around the own vehicle detected by the peripheral detection device 22 (step S102). If the item requiring attention is not detected at this time (NO in step S103), the process returns to step S101.
- the recognition degree estimation unit 13 detects the driver's visual field and the caution-required object detection unit 12 estimated by the visual field estimation unit 11.
- the degree of recognition of the driver's attention-requiring object is estimated based on the positional relationship with the attention-requiring object (step S104). If the estimated recognition level of the object requiring attention is equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold value (YES in step S105), the control unit 14 determines that notification is not necessary, and returns to step S101.
- step S105 If the estimated recognition level of the object requiring attention is less than the threshold value (NO in step S105), the control unit 14 controls the notification device 23 to notify the driver of the existence of the object requiring attention (step S106). After that, the process returns to step S101.
- the degree of recognition of the driver's attention-requiring object is the driver's field of view and the attention-requiring object estimated from the shape of the driver's eyelids. Estimated based on the positional relationship. Therefore, it is prevented that the estimation accuracy of the recognition degree of the attention-requiring object is lowered when the driver moves the eyelid, and as a result, the estimation accuracy of the recognition degree of the attention-requiring object is improved.
- the direction of the driver's face is assumed to be the front direction of the own vehicle, but the direction of the field of view changes depending on the direction of the face. Therefore, the driving support device 10 may be provided with a function of detecting the orientation of the driver's face, and the visual field estimation unit 11 may estimate the central direction of the driver's visual field based on the orientation of the driver's face.
- the visual field is affected by the direction of the line of sight, the visual field in the direction the eyeball is facing expands, and the visual field on the opposite side narrows. Therefore, the driving support device 10 may be provided with a function of detecting the direction of the driver's line of sight, and the field of view estimation unit 11 may estimate the driver's field of view in consideration of the direction of the driver's line of sight.
- the reason why the visual field is also affected by the direction of the line of sight is that the positional relationship between the pupil and the eyelids changes when the direction of the line of sight changes.
- the driving support device 10 may be provided with a function of detecting the positional relationship between the driver's pupil and the eyelid, and the visual field estimation unit 11 may estimate the driver's visual field in consideration of the positional relationship. Since the pupil is located at the center of the iris, the positional relationship between the pupil and the eyelid may be read as the positional relationship between the iris and the eyelid.
- the range that can be seen by gazing at the front without moving the eyes can be defined as the visual field
- the range that can be seen by moving the eyes can be defined as the visual field. do. That is, the field of view estimation unit 11 may estimate the driver's field of view based on the shape of the driver's eyelid of the own vehicle detected by the eyelid shape detecting device 21, and may consider the range of the field of view as the driver's field of view. ..
- the field of view is affected by the glasses.
- the visual field may be chipped at a portion overlapping the frame of the spectacles, or a part of the visual field may be chipped due to the refraction of light by the lens of the spectacles. Therefore, the driving support device 10 is provided with a function of detecting the shape and type of the driver's eyeglasses, or the shape and type of the driver's eyeglasses can be registered in the driving support device 10, and the visual field estimation unit 11 is the driver.
- the driver's field of view may be estimated in consideration of the shape or type of the glasses worn by the driver.
- the degree of recognition of items requiring attention is also affected by the direction of the line of sight and the direction of the face. For example, an object requiring attention near the direction of the line of sight is easy to recognize, and an object requiring attention far from the direction of the line of sight is difficult to recognize. Therefore, the recognition degree estimation unit 13 may estimate the recognition degree of the object requiring attention in consideration of the direction of the driver's line of sight or the direction of the face.
- the recognition degree estimation unit 13 may estimate the recognition degree of the object requiring attention by adding time-series data of the direction of the driver's line of sight or the direction of the face. For example, an object requiring attention that has been in the driver's field of view in the past may be treated as being recognized by the driver even if it is out of the field of view. At this time, the magnitude of the degree of recognition may be determined in consideration of the frequency and the length of time that the object requiring attention has entered the field of view in the past. If the object to be watched is a traffic light, even if the traffic light is out of the driver's field of view, the traffic light will be treated as being recognized by the driver for the same period as when the lighting color of the traffic light was in the previous field of view. When the lighting color of the traffic light changes, it may be treated that the traffic light is not recognized by the driver.
- the degree of recognition of items requiring attention is also affected by the glasses.
- the driving support device 10 may be provided with a function for detecting the shape and type of the driver's glasses, or the driving support device 10 may be able to register the shape and type of the driver's glasses, and the recognition degree estimation unit 13 may perform driving.
- the degree of recognition of the object requiring attention may be estimated in consideration of the shape or type of the glasses worn by the person.
- the caution-required object detection unit 12 may determine the caution-required degree (importance) indicating the urgency and risk (for example, the magnitude of damage at the time of contact) of the detected caution-required object. That is, it may be determined that the greater the damage expected at the time of contact, the higher the degree of caution. Further, it may be determined that the higher the contact probability is, the higher the degree of caution is required. Further, the degree of caution of the object requiring attention may be determined by considering both the magnitude of damage and the contact probability, or by adding other determination factors. For example, if the vehicle requiring attention (vehicle requiring attention) is moving irregularly, it is highly likely that the driver of the vehicle requiring attention is absent-minded or in a hurry.
- the degree of caution of the object requiring attention may be determined by considering both the magnitude of damage and the contact probability, or by adding other determination factors. For example, if the vehicle requiring attention (vehicle requiring attention) is moving irregularly, it is highly likely that the driver of the vehicle requiring attention is
- control unit 14 may change the notification method according to the degree of caution of the object requiring attention. In that case, the control unit 14 may perform notification that the driver is more likely to notice when the degree of attention required for the object requiring attention is higher. For example, when the degree of attention required is relatively low, only visual notification may be performed, and when the degree of caution is relatively high, visual notification and auditory notification may be used in combination. Further, it is preferable that the higher the degree of attention required for the object requiring attention, the more conspicuous the visual notification is, the auditory notification is performed in an easy-to-hear manner, and the contact-type notification is performed with a strong stimulus.
- FIG. 14 is a block diagram showing the configuration of the driving support device 10 according to the second embodiment.
- a vehicle control device 24 is connected to the driving support device 10 in place of the notification device 23 of FIG.
- the vehicle control device 24 is a device that automatically controls the running of the own vehicle, and is composed of, for example, an ECU (Electronic Control Unit). Since other configurations are the same as those in FIG. 1, their description will be omitted.

Description
報知装置23は、自車両の運転者に報知を行う手段であり、例えば、音声出力装置、CID(Center Information Display)やHUD(Head-Up Display)などの表示装置、バイブレーターなどの体感刺激発生装置等により構成される。
車両制御装置24は、自車両の自動走行制御を行う装置であり、例えばECU(Electronic Control Unit)などで構成される。
車両制御装置24は、自車両の自動走行制御を行う装置であり、例えばECU(Electronic Control Unit)などで構成される。
処理回路50が専用のハードウェアである場合、処理回路50は、例えば、単一回路、複合回路、プログラム化したプロセッサ、並列プログラム化したプロセッサ、ASIC(Application Specific Integrated Circuit)、FPGA(Field-Programmable Gate Array)、またはこれらを組み合わせたものなどが該当する。
ここで、メモリ52は、例えば、RAM(Random Access Memory)、ROM(Read Only Memory)、フラッシュメモリ、EPROM(Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)、EEPROM(Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory)などの、不揮発性または揮発性の半導体メモリ、HDD(Hard Disk Drive)、磁気ディスク、フレキシブルディスク、光ディスク、コンパクトディスク、ミニディスク、DVD(Digital Versatile Disc)およびそのドライブ装置等、または、今後使用されるあらゆる記憶媒体であってもよい。
