Definitions

  • the group of inventions relates to electroacoustics, namely to electrodynamic loudspeakers (speakers).
  • An electrodynamic loudspeaker consists of a frame, a diffuser, a suspension, a dust cover or replacement, a centering washer, flexible lead wires, a magnetic system and a voice coil.
  • the magnetic system is used to create a constant magnetic field in the magnetic gap.
  • the voice coil has a winding wound with a conductor, the winding is located in the magnetic gap of the magnetic system, and is rigidly attached to the diffuser through the frame.
  • the diffuser, together with the voice coil is fixed to the frame through a centering washer and suspension.
  • the design of the centering washer and suspension allows them to deform so that the diffuser with dust cover and voice coil can move back and forth.
  • Flexible lead wires are located on a canopy or on a centering washer to supply an electrical signal to the voice coil.
  • a moving system part of the subwoofer whose elements move or deform during operation.
  • the moving system consists of a diffuser, dust cover, voice coil, suspension, centering washer and flexible lead wires.
  • a speaker consisting of a frame, a magnetic system, a voice coil, a centering washer (spider), a diaphragm (diffuser), a dust dome (cap) and a ring.
  • the ring is placed between the three main elements of the speaker: the voice coil, the centering washer and the diaphragm (diffuser).
  • the ring is the connecting element that connects the speaker components without the need for these elements to come into contact with each other.
  • the ring includes three sections: the lower ring, the upper ring, a protrusion with a connecting pin to which the speaker wires are connected (US patent N24680800, 07.14.1987).
  • the disadvantage of this design consists in the absence of an easily detachable connection, and the said ring is an additional element that facilitates assembly and precise positioning of elements relative to each other during assembly.
  • a speaker is known that is made with the possibility of detachable elements thereof.
  • the surface of the voice coil frame is made with a thread, on which two elements are clamped: a diaphragm and a centering washer.
  • the diaphragm is clamped between the conical part of the element c and the nut.
  • the centering washer is clamped between the element and the nut (US patent 10 N-4 ⁇ 18605, 03.10.1978).
  • a speaker includes a diaphragm mounted on a ring (rim) through a suspension, a magnet, a coil connected to the diaphragm and a centering washer, a voice coil winding, a terminal, wires.
  • a connecting piece including a protrusion holds the diaphragm.
  • the connecting element is connected to the centering washer and includes a second 20 connecting element (US patent NS7970162, 06/28/2011).
  • the diffuser assembly can be decoupled from the centering washer-coil assembly.
  • the technical problem solved by the invention lies in the fact that powerful speakers, when operating at maximum modes, have high mechanical and thermal loads (high heat release) in their nodes. When working in difficult modes, the loads often exceed the capabilities of the structure, which leads to breakdown of individual components. Depending on the operating mode and the predominance of a certain type of load, different parts of the speaker fail. In this regard, there is an acute issue of affordable repair of individual parts of the moving system (voice coil, diffuser, suspension, centering washer, dust cap, flexible 5 speaker wires). Also, to work in different conditions, the speaker must have a different set of characteristics.
  • the task is solved by the development of a modular mobile speaker system, consisting of several modules that are attached to each other 15 and to the frame with detachable connections (screws, bolts, pins, latches, brackets).
  • a voice coil can have different resistances, can have different winding heights (high winding provides a large linear stroke, and low winding increases the efficiency of the speaker).
  • the centering washer can have different stiffness, which affects the resonant frequency of the speaker. Suspension of different shapes and stiffness affects the efficiency of the speaker and its resonant frequency. A diffuser of different mass and strength also affects the resonant frequency and efficiency.
  • the closest analogue of the patentable solution is a speaker, which includes the following elements: diaphragm (diffuser), magnet, pole (core), spider (centering washer), frame, voice coil assembly, suspension, fasteners.
  • the voice coil assembly is provided as a removable 5 piece to facilitate replacement of damaged parts of the device.
  • the voice coil is connected to the diffuser using a detachable connection and the voice coil together with the diffuser is connected to the frame and centering washer using a detachable connection (US patent N27986804, published July 26, 2011).
  • centering washer are permanently connected to the frame.
  • the coil or its module is taken out forward (upward in the drawing), since it cannot be removed inward, it is hindered by the magnetic system of the speaker, which will be a disadvantage for winding a large thickness.
  • the entire speaker is divided into two modules: coil and magnetic system, frame, cone, suspension, centering washer, flexible lead wires, etc. In the event of a breakdown of the diffuser, suspension, centering washer, flexible lead wires, this design does not help in any way in the repair. It is also impossible to have a significant impact on the characteristics of the 25 product.
  • the diffuser + suspension + coil is removed as a separate unit.
  • the diffuser + suspension + coil is a module and this module is removed from the frame and disconnected from the centering washer.
  • the centering washer is fixed to the frame with a one-piece connection.
  • the main reason for the failure of the diffuser and suspension is the excess of the maximum travel of the moving part. Excessive travel usually occurs with poor control of the diffuser by acoustic design, and overheating of the coil with excessive control of the diffuser by acoustic design. Therefore, these breakdowns rarely happen at the same time. And if the user wants to change only one characteristic of the speaker, for example, the resonant frequency or the impedance of the voice coil, he will have to change not only this element. Also, having a detachable connection between the coil and the centering washer, it is necessary to make contacts for transmitting an electrical signal from the flexible lead wires (which are located on the centering washer) to the voice coil, which complicates the design. against this background, we consider it inappropriate to place the diffuser, suspension and coil in one one-piece module. In our opinion, such a design does not provide significant advantages when repairing or changing characteristics, while the design is complicated relative to the classical design.
  • the technical result of the patented solution is to simplify the assembly / disassembly of the movable system, divided into modules.
  • Assembly / disassembly of the movable system may be required in the event of repair of one of the components (according to statistics, 96% of breakdowns occur only in one of the elements of the movable part, while the rest of the movable system does not require replacement). It may also be necessary to use the speaker in a new system that requires different performance. Which is very important in car audio systems and pop audio systems. None of the above options for similar devices are able to provide this.

In this case, the moving system is divided into modules, connected to each other and to the frame by detachable joints. Detachable connections can be screws, studs with nuts, latches or brackets.
