본 출원은 2019년 10월 2일에 출원된 한국특허출원 제10-2019-0122482호에 기초한 우선권의 이익을 주장하며, 해당 한국특허출원 문헌에 개시된 모든 내용은 본 명세서의 일부로서 포함된다.
[기술분야]
본 발명은 비수 전해액 및 이를 포함하는 리튬 이차 전지에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 이차 전지의 급속 충전 성능 및 저항 특성을 향상시킬 수 있는 비수 전해액 및 이를 포함하는 리튬 이차 전지에 관한 것이다.
리튬 이차 전지는 일반적으로 리튬을 함유하고 있는 전이금속 산화물로 이루어진 양극 활물질을 포함하는 양극과, 리튬 이온을 저장할 수 있는 음극 활물질을 포함하는 음극 사이에 분리막을 개재하여 전극 조립체를 형성하고, 상기 전극 조립체를 전지 케이스에 삽입한 후, 리튬 이온을 전달하는 매개체가 되는 비수 전해액을 주입한 다음 밀봉하는 방법으로 제조된다.
이러한 리튬 이차 전지는 휴대 전화나 노트북 등과 같은 휴대용 전자 기기뿐 아니라, 전기 자동차 등에 사용되고 있으며, 그 수요가 급격하게 증가하고 있다. 리튬 이차 전지의 수요가 증가하고 적용 대상이 다양해짐에 따라, 리튬 이차 전지에 요구되는 성능 수준도 점차 높아지고 있다. 예를 들면, 전기 자동차에 사용되는 리튬 이차 전지는 높은 에너지 밀도와 고출력 특성, 가혹한 조건 하에서 오랜 기간 사용할 수 있는 내구성이 요구된다. 이와 더불어, 최근에는 짧은 시간 내에 전지를 충전할 수 있는 급속 충전 성능에 대한 요구도 증가하고 있다.
그러나, 현재까지 개발된 리튬 이차 전지들은 급속 충전 성능이 충분하지 못하며, 급속 충전이 가능한 경우에도 급속 충전이 반복되면 전지 성능이 급격히 저하된다는 문제점이 있다.
본 발명은 상기와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위한 것으로, 리튬 이차 전지의 급속 충전 성능 및 저온 출력 특성을 향상시킬 수 있는 비수 전해액 및 이를 포함하는 리튬 이차 전지를 제공하고자 한다.
일 구현예에 따르면, 본 발명은, 환형 카보네이트, 디메틸 카보네이트 및 하기 [화학식 1]로 표시되는 나이트릴계 용매를 포함하는 유기 용매; 및 리튬염을 포함하는 비수 전해액을 제공한다.

본 발명과 같이, 특정한 용매의 조합, 즉, 환형 카보네이트, 디메틸 카보네이트 및 화학식 I의 나이트릴계 용매를 포함하는 유기 용매와 리튬염을 포함하는 비수 전해액을 사용하면 우수한 급속 충전 성능 및 저온 출력 특성을 갖는 리튬 이차 전지를 구현할 수 있다.
이하, 본 발명을 더욱 상세하게 설명한다.
본 발명자들은 급속 충전 성능이 우수한 리튬 이차 전지를 개발하기 위해 연구를 거듭한 결과, 비수 전해액의 유기 용매로 환형 카보네이트계 용매, 디메틸 카보네이트 및 화학식 I로 표시되는 나이트릴계 용매를 함께 사용할 경우, 리튬 이차 전지의 저온 출력 특성 및 급속 충전 성능을 향상시킬 수 있음을 알아내고 본 발명을 완성하였다.
비수 전해액
본 발명에 따른 비수 전해액은 (1) 환형 카보네이트, 디메틸 카보네이트 및 하기 [화학식 1]로 표시되는 나이트릴계 용매를 포함하는 유기 용매; 및 (2) 리튬염을 포함한다. 또한, 본 발명의 비수 전해액은, 필요에 따라, (3) 계면 활성제 및/또는 (4) 첨가제를 더 포함할 수 있다.
이하, 본 발명의 비수 전해액의 각 성분들에 대해 설명한다.
(1) 유기 용매
본 발명의 비수 전해액은 유기 용매로 환형 카보네이트계 용매, 디메틸 카보네이트 및 나이트릴계 용매를 포함한다.
상기 환형 카보네이트는 고점도의 유기 용매로서 유전율이 높아 전해액 내의 리튬염을 잘 해리시킬 수 있는 유기 용매로서, 예를 들면, 에틸렌 카보네이트(EC), 프로필렌 카보네이트(PC), 1,2-부틸렌 카보네이트, 2,3-부틸렌 카보네이트, 1,2-펜틸렌 카보네이트, 2,3-펜틸렌 카보네이트 및 비닐렌 카보네이트로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 적어도 하나 이상일 수 있다. 이 중에서도 안정한 SEI막 부동태 능력을 유지 시킬 수 있는 에틸렌 카보네이트가 특히 바람직하다.
상기 환형 카보네이트는 유기 용매 전체 부피를 기준으로 5 내지 15부피%로 포함될 수 있다. 환형 카보네이트가 5부피% 미만으로 포함되면, SEI 막이 불안정하여 부동태 능력을 안정적으로 유지할 수 없다는 문제점이 있으며, 15부피%를 초과하여 포함되면, 급속 충전 성능 및 저온 출력 개선효과가 미미하다.
다음으로, 상기 디메틸 카보네이트 및 나이트릴계 용매는 저온 출력 특성 및 급속 충전 성능을 향상시키기 위한 성분으로, 디메틸 카보네이트 및 상기 나이트릴계 용매는 상대적으로 점성이 낮고 유전율이 높아, 이를 적용할 경우 전해액의 이온 전도성 및 리튬 이온 이동도를 향상시키는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.구체적으로는, 상기 디메틸 카보네이트는 유기 용매 전체 부피를 기준으로 40 내지 90부피%, 바람직하게는 50 내지 80부피%로 포함될 수 있다. 디메틸 카보네이트가 40부피% 미만으로 포함되면, 전해액의 이온 전도성 및 리튬 이동도가 저하되어 저온 출력 특성 및 급속 충전 성능 개선 효과를 얻기 어렵고, 90부피%를 초과하여 포함되면, 디메틸 카보네이트의 환원 분해로 인한 부반응이 야기된다는 문제점이 있다.
다음으로, 상기 나이트릴계 용매는 급속 충전 성능을 향상시키기 위한 성분으로, 하기 화학식 I로 표시되는 화합물이다.

상기 [화학식 I]에서, R은 탄소수 3 ~ 10의 알킬기 또는 탄소수 3 ~ 10의 알케닐기이며, 바람직하게는 탄소수 3 ~ 6의 알킬기 또는 탄소수 3 ~ 6의 알케닐기, 더 바람직하게는 탄소수 3 ~ 5의 알킬기 또는 탄소수 3 ~ 5의 알케닐기이다.

상기 [화학식 1]로 표시되는 나이트릴계 용매는 유기 용매 전체 부피를 기준으로 5 내지 40부피%, 바람직하게는 5 내지 35부피%로 포함된다. 나이트릴계 유기 용매가 5부피% 미만으로 포함되면, 저온 출력 특성 및 급속 충전 성능 개선 효과가 미미하고, 40부피%를 초과하여 포함되면, 나이크릴계 용매 분해로 인한 부반응이 발생한다는 문제점이 있다.
한편, 상기 비수성 유기 용매에 있어서, 상기 환형 카보네이트의 부피 : 디메틸 카보네이트와 나이트릴계 용매의 부피 합의 비가 1 : 8 내지 1 : 10인 것이 바람직하다. 즉, 환형 카보네이트의 부피에 대한 디메틸 카보네이트와 나이트릴계 용매를 합한 부피의 비가 8 ~ 10인 것이 바람직하다. 상기 범위를 만족할 때, 고온 수명 특성 및 고온 저장 특성 저하 없이 급속 충전 성능 및 저온 출력 특성을 개선할 수 있다.
(2) 리튬염

구체적으로, 상기 리튬염은 LiCl, LiBr, LiI, LiBF4, LiClO4, LiAlO4, LiAlCl4, LiPF6, LiSbF6, LiAsF6, LiB10Cl10, LiBOB (LiB(C2O4)2), LiCF3SO3, LiTFSI (LiN(SO2CF3)2), LiFSI (LiN(SO2F)2), LiCH3SO3, LiCF3CO2, LiCH3CO2 및 LiBETI (LiN(SO2CF2CF3)2로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 적어도 어느 하나 이상을 들 수 있다. 구체적으로 리튬염은 LiBF4, LiClO4, LiPF6, LiBOB (LiB(C2O4)2), LiCF3SO3, LiTFSI (LiN(SO2CF3)2), LiFSI (LiN(SO2F)2) 및 LiBETI (LiN(SO2CF2CF3)2로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 단일물 또는 2종 이상의 혼합물을 포함할 수 있다.
상기 리튬염은 전해액 내에 0.8 M 내지 4 M의 농도, 구체적으로 1.5M 내지 3M 농도로 포함될 수 있다. 리튬염의 농도가 상기 범위를 만족할 때, 리튬 이온 수율(Li+ transference number) 및 리튬 이온의 해리도가 향상되어 전지의 출력 특성이 향상될 수 있다.
(3) 계면 활성제
본 발명에 따른 비수 전해액은, 필요에 따라, 계면 활성제를 더 포함할 수 있다. 계면 활성제가 포함될 경우, 전해액과 전극 계면 사이의 표면 저항이 낮아져 젖음성(Wetting)을 개선하는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
본 발명에 있어서, 상기 계면 활성제는, 예를 들면, 하기 화학식 II로 표시되는 화합물을 포함할 수 있다.

상기 [화학식 II]에서, 상기 Rf는 적어도 하나 이상의 불소로 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 1 내지 5의 알킬렌기이고, 바람직하게는 불소 치환된 탄소수 1 내지 5의 알킬렌기이다.
상기 Rg, Rh, Ri 및 Rj는 각각 독립적으로 불소 원소 또는 불소로 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 1 내지 3의 알킬기이며, 바람직하게는, 불소 원소 또는 불소 치환된 탄소수 1 내지 3의 알킬기이다.
상기 R0는 지방족 탄화수소기 또는 방향족 탄화수소기이다. 구체적으로는, 상기 지방족 탄화수소기는, 예를 들면, (a) 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 4 내지 20의 사이클로알킬렌기, 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 4 내지 20의 사이클로알케닐렌기 및 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 2 내지 20의 헤테로사이클로알킬렌기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 적어도 하나의 지환족 탄화수소기 및 (b) 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 1 내지 20의 알킬렌기, 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 1 내지 20의 알콕실렌기, 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 2 내지 20의 알케닐렌기 및 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 2 내지 20의 알키닐렌기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 적어도 하나의 선형 탄화수소기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다. 또한, 상기 방향족 탄화수소기는 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 6 내지 20의 아릴렌기 및 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 2 내지 20의 헤테로아릴렌기로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 적어도 하나를 포함할 수 있다.
상기 R'''는 수소 또는 탄소수 1 내지 3의 알킬기이다.
한편, 상기 o는 1 내지 3 중 어느 하나의 정수이며, p 및 q는 반복단위 수이며, p는 1 내지 10 중 어느 하나의 정수이고, q는 1 내지 15 중 어느 하나의 정수이다.
상기 [화학식 II]로 표시되는 올리고머는 양 말단에 친수성 부분인 아크릴레이트계 작용기를 함유하는 동시에, 소수성 부분인 불소 치환 에틸렌기를 포함하고 있기 때문에, 계면활성제로 작용하여 전해액과 전극 계면과의 표면 저항을 낮추고, 전지 젖음성(wetting)을 개선하는 효과를 얻을 수 있다.
바람직하게는 상기 계면 활성제는 하기 화학식 II-1로 표시되는 올리고머일 수 있다.

상기 화학식 II-1에서, p1 및 q1은 반복단위 수이며, p1은 1 내지 10 중 어느 하나의 정수이고, q1은 1 내지 15 중 어느 하나의 정수이다.
한편, 상기 화학식 II로 표시되는 올리고머의 중량평균분자량(MW)은 반복 단위의 개수에 의해 조절될 수 있으며, 약 1,000 g/mol 내지 100,000 g/mol, 구체적으로 1,000 g/mol 내지 50,000 g/mol, 더욱 구체적으로 1,000 g/mol 내지 10,000 g/mol 일 수 있다. 올리고머의 중량평균분자량이 상기 범위를 만족할 때, 전해액과의 친화성이 높아 전해액에 잘 용해될 수 있다. 상기 중량평균분자량은 겔투과크로마토그래피(Gel Permeation Chromatography: GPC)로 측정한 표준 폴리스티렌에 대한 환산 수치를 의미할 수 있고, 특별하게 달리 규정하지 않는 한, 분자량은 중량평균분자량을 의미할 수 있다. 예컨대, 본 발명에서는 GPC 조건으로 Agilent社 1200시리즈를 이용하여 측정하며, 이때 사용된 컬럼은 Agilent社 PL mixed B 컬럼을 이용할 수 있고, 용매는 THF를 사용할 수 있다.
상기 계면 활성제는 비수 전해액 전체 중량을 기준으로 0.01 내지 5중량%, 바람직하게는 0.1 내지 3중량%, 더 바람직하게는 0.1 내지 1중량%로 포함될 수 있다. 계면 활성제의 함량이 상기 범위를 만족할 때, 전지 젖음성을 개선하는 효과를 얻을 수 있다. 계면 활성제의 함량이 너무 적으면, 젖음성 개선 효과가 미미하고, 너무 많으면, 계면 활성제가 불순물로 작용하여 저항이 증가하고, 이온 전도도가 낮아지는 문제가 발생할 수 있다.
(4) 첨가제
필수적인 것은 아니나, 본 발명에 따른 전해액은, 고출력의 환경에서 전해액이 분해되어 음극 붕괴가 유발되는 것을 방지하거나, 저온 고율방전 특성, 고온 안정성, 과충전 방지, 고온에서의 전지 팽창 억제 효과 등을 더욱 향상시키기 위하여, 첨가제들을 더 포함할 수 있다.
이러한 첨가제의 예로는 환형 카보네이트계 화합물, 할로겐 치환된 카보네이트계 화합물, 설톤계 화합물, 설페이트계 화합물, 포스페이트계 화합물, 보레이트계 화합물, 니트릴계 화합물, 벤젠계 화합물, 아민계 화합물, 실란계 화합물 및 리튬염계 화합물로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 적어도 하나 이상을 들 수 있다.
상기 환형 카보네이트계 화합물은, 예를 들면, 비닐렌카보네이트(VC) 또는 비닐에틸렌 카보네이트 등일 수 있다.
상기 할로겐 치환된 카보네이트계 화합물은, 예를 들면, 플루오로에틸렌 카보네이트(FEC)) 등일 수 있다.
상기 설톤계 화합물은, 예를 들면, 1,3-프로판 설톤(PS), 1,4-부탄 설톤, 에텐설톤, 1,3-프로펜 설톤(PRS), 1,4-부텐 설톤 및 1-메틸-1,3-프로펜 설톤으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 적어도 하나 이상의 화합물일 수 있다.
상기 설페이트계 화합물은, 예를 들면, 에틸렌 설페이트(Ethylene Sulfate; Esa), 트리메틸렌설페이트 (Trimethylene sulfate; TMS), 또는 메틸트리메틸렌설페이트 (Methyl trimethylene sulfate; MTMS) 등일 수 있다.
상기 포스페이트계 화합물은, 예를 들면, 리튬 디플루오로(비스옥살라토)포스페이트, 리튬 디플루오로포스페이트, 테트라메틸 트리메틸 실릴 포스페이트, 트리메틸 실릴 포스파이트, 트리스(2,2,2-트리플루오로에틸)포스페이트 및 트리스(트리플루오로에틸) 포스파이트로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상의 화합물일 수 있다.
상기 보레이트계 화합물은, 예를 들면, 테트라페닐보레이트, 리튬 옥살릴디플루오로보레이트 등일 수 있다.
상기 니트릴계 화합물은, 예를 들면, 숙시노니트릴, 아디포니트릴, 아세토니트릴, 프로피오니트릴, 부티로니트릴, 발레로니트릴, 카프릴로니트릴, 헵탄니트릴, 사이클로펜탄 카보니트릴, 사이클로헥산 카보니트릴, 2-플루오로벤조니트릴, 4-플루오로벤조니트릴, 다이플루오로벤조니트릴, 트리플루오로벤조니트릴, 페닐아세토니트릴, 2-플루오로페닐아세토니트릴, 및 4-플루오로페닐아세토니트릴로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 적어도 하나 이상의 화합물일 수 있다.
상기 벤젠계 화합물은, 예를 들면, 플루오로벤젠 등일 수 있고, 상기 아민계 화합물은 트리에탄올아민 또는 에틸렌디아민 등일 수 있으며, 상기 실란계 화합물은 테트라비닐실란 등일 수 있다.
상기 리튬염계 화합물은 상기 비수전해액에 포함되는 리튬염과 상이한 화합물로서, LiPO2F2, LiODFB(리튬디플루오(옥살레이토)보레이트), LiBOB(리튬 비스옥살레이토보레이트(LiB(C2O4)2) 및 LiBF4로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상의 화합물일 수 있다.
한편, 상기 첨가제들은 단독으로 사용될 수도 있고, 2 종 이상이 혼합되어 사용될 수 있다.
바람직하게는, 본 발명의 비수 전해액은 첨가제로 환형 카보네이트계 화합물, 설톤계 화합물, 설페이트계 화합물, 리튬염계 화합물 및 벤젠계 화합물로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상을 포함할 수 있으며, 더 바람직하게는, 환형 카보네이트계 화합물, 설톤계 화합물, 설페이트계 화합물, 리튬염계 화합물 및 벤젠계 화합물을 포함할 수 있다. 보다 더 바람직하게는, 본 발명의 비수 첨가제는 비닐렌 카보네이트, 1,3-프로판 설톤, 에틸렌 설페이트, LiBF4 및 플루오로벤젠을 포함할 수 있다.
상기 첨가제들의 조합을 포함할 경우, 양극 및 음극 상에 동시에 안정적인 피막을 형성할 수 있다. 이때, 음극 상에 형성된 피막에 의하여, 고온, 고압 조건 하에서도 전해질이 분해되는 것을 억제할 수 있음은 물론, 양극 상에 형성된 피막에 의하여 양극에 포함된 전이 금속이 용출되는 것을 억제하여 전지의 고온, 고압 특성 및 안정성이 개선될 수 있다.
한편, 상기 첨가제의 총량은 전해액 전체 중량을 기준으로 1 내지 15 중량%, 바람직하게는 1 내지 12 중량%일 수 있다, 더 바람직하게는 1 내지 11 중량% 일 수 있다. 첨가제가 상기 범위 내로 포함되는 경우, 전극 상에 안정적으로 피막을 형성하고, 과충전시 발화 현상을 억제할 수 있으면서도, 이차 전지의 초기 활성화 공정 도중 부반응이 발생되거나, 첨가제가 잔류 혹은 석출되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.
리튬 이차 전지
다음으로, 본 발명에 따른 리튬 이차 전지에 대해 설명한다.
본 발명에 따른 리튬 이차 전지는 양극, 음극, 상기 양극 및 음극 사이에 개재되는 분리막 및 비수 전해액을 포함하며, 이때, 상기 비수 전해액은 상기 본 발명에 따른 비수 전해액이다. 비수 전해액에 대해서는 상술하였으므로, 이에 대한 설명은 생략하고, 이하에서는 다른 구성요소들에 대해 설명한다.
(1) 양극
본 발명에 따른 양극은, 양극 활물질을 포함하는 양극 활물질층을 포함할 수 있으며, 필요에 따라, 상기 양극 활물질층은 도전재 및/또는 바인더를 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 양극 활물질은 리튬의 가역적인 인터칼레이션 및 디인터칼레이션이 가능한 화합물로서, 구체적으로는 코발트, 망간, 니켈 또는 알루미늄과 같은 1종 이상의 전이 금속과 리튬을 포함하는 리튬 복합금속 산화물일 수 있다. 보다 구체적으로, 상기 리튬 복합금속 산화물은 리튬-망간계 산화물(예를 들면, LiMnO2, LiMn2O4 등), 리튬-코발트계 산화물(예를 들면, LiCoO2 등), 리튬-니켈계 산화물(예를 들면, LiNiO2 등), 리튬-니켈-망간계 산화물(예를 들면, LiNi1-YMnYO2(0<Y<1), LiMn2-zNizO4(0<Z<2), 리튬-니켈-코발트계 산화물(예를 들면, LiNi1-Y1CoY1O2(0<Y1<1), 리튬-망간-코발트계 산화물(예를 들면, LiCo1-Y2MnY2O2(0<Y2<1), LiMn2-z1Coz1O4(0<Z1<2), 리튬-니켈-망간-코발트계 산화물(예를 들면, Li(NipCoqMnr1)O2(0<p<1, 0<q<1, 0<r1<1, p+q+r1=1) 또는 Li(Nip1Coq1Mnr2)O4(0<p1<2, 0<q1<2, 0<r2<2, p1+q1+r2=2), 또는 리튬-니켈-코발트-전이금속(M) 산화물(예를 들면, Li(Nip2Coq2Mnr3MS2)O2(M은 Al, Fe, V, Cr, Ti, Ta, Mg 및 Mo로 이루어지는 군으로부터 선택되고, p2, q2, r3 및 s2는 각각 독립적인 원소들의 원자분율로서, 0<p2<1, 0<q2<1, 0<r3<1, 0<s2<1, p2+q2+r3+s2=1이다) 등을 들 수 있으며, 이들 중 어느 하나 또는 둘 이상의 화합물이 포함될 수 있다.
구체적으로는, 상기 리튬 복합금속 산화물은 전이금속 중 니켈 함유량이 70atm% 이상인 리튬 복합전이금속 산화물일 수 있으며, 더 구체적으로는, 하기 화학식 A로 표시되는 리튬 니켈코발트망간계 산화물일 수 있다.

상기 [화학식 A]에서, 상기 M1은 전이금속 사이트에 치환된 도핑 원소이며, W, Cu, Fe, V, Cr, Ti, Zr, Zn, Al, In, Ta, Y, La, Sr, Ga, Sc, Gd, Sm, Ca, Ce, Nb, Mg, B, 및 Mo로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 원소일 수 있다.
상기 A는, 산소 사이트에 치환된 원소로, F, Cl, Br, I, At 및 S로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상의 원소일 수 있다.
상기 x는 리튬 니켈코발트망간계 산화물 내에서 전체 전이금속 대비 리튬의원자 비율을 의미하는 것으로, 0.8 내지 1.2, 바람직하게는, 1 내지 1.2 일 수 있다.
상기 y는 리튬 니켈코발트망간계 산화물 내에서 전이금속 중 니켈의 원자 비율을 의미하는 것으로 0.7 이상 1 미만, 바람직하게는 0.75 내지 1 미만, 더 바람직하게는 0.75 내지 0.98이다. 전이금속 중 니켈의 함량이 높아질수록 더 높은 용량을 구현할 수 있기 때문에, 니켈 함량이 0.7 이상인 것이 고용량 구현에 보다 유리하다.
상기 z는 리튬 니켈코발트망간계 산화물 내에서 전이금속 중 코발트의 원자 비율을 의미하는 것으로, 0 초과 0.3 미만, 바람직하게는 0.01 이상 0.3 미만, 더 바람직하게는 0.01 이상 0.25 미만이다.
상기 w는 리튬 니켈코발트망간계 산화물 내에서 전이금속 중 망간 원자 비율을 의미하는 것으로, 0 초과 0.3 미만, 바람직하게는 0.01 이상 0.3 미만, 더 바람직하게는 0.01 이상 0.25 미만이다.
상기 v는 리튬 니켈코발트망간계 산화물 내의 전이금속 사이트에 도핑된 도핑원소 M1의 원자 비율을 의미하는 것으로, 0 내지 0.2, 바람직하게는 0 내지 0.1일 수 있다. 도핑 원소 M1이 첨가될 경우, 리튬 니켈코발트망간계 산화물의 구조 안정성을 개선하는 효과가 있으나, 도핑 원소의 함유량이 증가하면 용량이 떨어질 수 있으므로, 0.2 이하의 함량으로 포함되는 것이 바람직하다.
상기 p는 산소 사이트에 치환된 원소 A의 원자 비율을 의미하는 것으로, 0 내지 0.2, 바람직하게는 0 내지 0.1일 수 있다.
한편, 상기 화학식 1에서, y+z+w+v=1일 수 있다.
상기 리튬 니켈코발트망간계 산화물의 구체적인 예로는, LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 등을 들 수 있으나, 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
상기 양극 활물질은 양극 활물질층 전체 중량을 기준으로 80 내지 98중량%, 보다 구체적으로는 85 내지 98중량%의 함량으로 포함될 수 있다. 양극 활물질이 상기 범위로 포함될 때 우수한 용량 특성을 나타낼 수 있다.
다음으로, 상기 도전재는 전극에 도전성을 부여하기 위해 사용되는 것으로서, 구성되는 전지에 있어서, 화학변화를 야기하지 않고 전자 전도성을 갖는 것이면 특별한 제한 없이 사용 가능하다.
구체적인 예로는 천연 흑연이나 인조 흑연 등의 흑연; 카본 블랙, 아세틸렌블랙, 케첸블랙, 채널 블랙, 퍼네이스 블랙, 램프 블랙, 서머 블랙, 탄소섬유 등의 탄소계 물질; 구리, 니켈, 알루미늄, 은 등의 금속 분말 또는 금속 섬유; 산화아연, 티탄산 칼륨 등의 도전성 휘스커; 산화 티탄 등의 도전성 금속 산화물; 또는 폴리페닐렌 유도체 등의 전도성 고분자 등을 들 수 있으며, 이들 중 1종 단독 또는 2종 이상의 혼합물이 사용될 수 있다.
상기 도전재는 양극 활물질층 전체 중량을 기준으로 0.1 내지 10중량%, 바람직하게는 0.1 내지 5중량%로 포함될 수 있다.
다음으로, 상기 바인더는 양극 활물질 입자들 간의 부착 및 양극 활물질과 집전체와의 접착력을 향상시키는 역할을 한다.
상기 바인더의 구체적인 예로는 폴리비닐리덴플로라이드(PVDF), 비닐리덴플루오라이드-헥사플루오로프로필렌코폴리머(PVDF-co-HFP), 폴리비닐알코올, 폴리아크릴로니트릴(polyacrylonitrile), 카르복시메틸셀룰로우즈(CMC), 전분, 히드록시프로필셀룰로우즈, 재생 셀룰로우즈, 폴리비닐피롤리돈, 테트라플루오로에틸렌, 폴리에틸렌, 폴리프로필렌, 에틸렌-프로필렌-디엔폴리머(EPDM), 술폰화-EPDM, 스티렌부타디엔 고무(SBR), 불소 고무, 또는 이들의 다양한 공중합체 등을 들 수 있으며, 이들 중 1종 단독 또는 2종 이상의 혼합물이 사용될 수 있다. 상기 바인더는 양극 활물질층 전체 중량을 기준으로 0.1 내지 15 중량%, 바람직하게는 0.1 내지 10중량%로 포함될 수 있다.
상기와 같은 본 발명의 양극은 당해 기술 분야에 알려져 있는 양극 제조 방법에 따라 제조될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 상기 양극은, 양극 활물질, 바인더 및/또는 도전재를 용매 중에 용해 또는 분산시켜 제조한 양극 슬러리를 양극 집전체 상에 도포한 후, 건조 및 압연하는 방법, 또는 상기 양극 슬러리를 별도의 지지체 상에 캐스팅한 다음, 지지체를 박리하여 얻은 필름을 양극 집전체 상에 라미네이션하는 방법 등을 통해 제조될 수 있다.
상기 양극 집전체는 전지에 화학적 변화를 유발하지 않으면서 도전성을 가진 것이라면 특별히 제한되는 것은 아니며, 예를 들어 스테인리스 스틸, 알루미늄, 니켈, 티탄, 소성 탄소 또는 알루미늄이나 스테인레스스틸 표면에 탄소, 니켈, 티탄, 은 등으로 표면 처리한 것 등이 사용될 수 있다. 또, 상기 양극 집전체는 통상적으로 3 내지 500㎛의 두께를 가질 수 있으며, 상기 집전체 표면 상에 미세한 요철을 형성하여 양극재의 접착력을 높일 수도 있다. 예를 들어 필름, 시트, 호일, 네트, 다공질체, 발포체, 부직포체 등 다양한 형태로 사용될 수 있다.
상기 용매는 당해 기술분야에서 일반적으로 사용되는 용매일 수 있으며, 디메틸셀폭사이드(dimethyl sulfoxide, DMSO), 이소프로필 알코올(isopropyl alcohol), N-메틸피롤리돈(NMP), 아세톤(acetone) 또는 물 등을 들 수 있으며, 이들 중 1종 단독 또는 2종 이상의 혼합물이 사용될 수 있다. 상기 용매의 사용량은 양극 합재의 도포 두께, 제조 수율, 작업성 등을 고려하여 양극 합재가 적절한 점도를 갖도록 조절될 수 있는 정도이면 되고, 특별히 한정되지 않는다.
(2) 음극
다음으로, 음극에 대해 설명한다.
본 발명에 따른 음극은, 음극 활물질을 포함하는 음극 활물질층을 포함하며, 상기 음극 활물질층은, 필요에 따라, 도전재 및/또는 바인더를 더 포함할 수 있다.
상기 음극 활물질로는 당 업계에서 사용되는 다양한 음극 활물질, 예를 들면, 탄소계 음극 활물질, 실리콘계 음극 활물질, 금속 합금 등이 사용될 수 있다.
일 구현예에 따르면, 상기 음극 활물질은 탄소계 음극 활물질을 포함할 수 있으며, 상기 탄소계 음극 활물질로는, 당 업계에서 사용되는 다양한 탄소계 음극 활물질들, 예를 들면, 천연 흑연, 인조 흑연, 키시흑연 (Kish graphite)과 같은 그라파이트계 물질; 열분해 탄소 (pyrolytic carbon), 액정 피치계 탄소섬유 (mesophase pitch based carbon fiber), 탄소 미소구체 (meso-carbon microbeads), 액정피치 (Mesophase pitches) 및 석유와 석탄계 코크스 (petroleum or coal tar pitch derived cokes) 등의 고온 소성탄소, 연화탄소 (soft carbon), 경화탄소 (hard carbon) 등이 사용될 수 있다. 상기 탄소계 음극 활물질의 형상은 특별히 제한되지 않으며, 무정형, 판상, 인편상, 구형 또는 섬유형 등과 같은 다양한 형상의 물질들이 사용될 수 있다.
바람직하게는 상기 탄소계 음극 활물질은 천연 흑연 및 인조 흑연 중 적어도 하나 이상을 포함할 수 있다. 더 바람직하게는 상기 탄소계 음극 활물질은 천연 흑연 및 인조 흑연을 포함할 수 있다. 천연 흑연과 인조 흑연을 함께 사용할 경우, 집전체와의 접착력이 높아져 활물질 탈리를 억제할 수 있다.
다른 구현예에 따르면, 상기 음극 활물질은 탄소계 음극 활물질 및 실리콘계 음극 활물질을 포함할 수 있다.
상기 탄소계 음극 활물질의 구체적인 예는 상술한 바와 동일하다.
상기 실리콘계 음극 활물질은, 금속 실리콘(Si), 실리콘 산화물(SiOx, 여기서 0<x<2) 실리콘 탄화물(SiC) 및 Si-Y 합금(상기 Y는 알칼리 금속, 알칼리 토금속, 13족 원소, 14족 원소, 전이금속, 희토류 원소 및 이들의 조합으로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 원소이며, Si은 아님)로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상을 포함할 수 있다. 상기 원소 Y로는 Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Ra, Sc, Y, Ti, Zr, Hf, Rf, V, Nb, Ta, Db, Cr, Mo, W, Sg, Tc, Re, Bh, Fe, Pb, Ru, Os, Hs, Rh, Ir, Pd, Pt, Cu, Ag, Au, Zn, Cd, B, Al, Ga, Sn, In, Ti, Ge, P, As, Sb, Bi, S, Se, Te, Po, 및 이들의 조합으로 이루어진 군에서 선택될 수 있다.
실리콘계 음극 활물질은 탄소계 음극 활물질에 비해 높은 용량 특성을 나타내므로, 실리콘계 음극 활물질을 추가로 포함할 경우, 더 우수한 용량 특성을 얻을 수 있다.
상기 실리콘계 음극 활물질 : 탄소계 음극 활물질의 혼합 비율은 중량비율로 1 : 99 내지 50 : 50, 바람직하게 5 : 95 내지 30 : 70 일 수 있다. 실리콘계 음극 활물질과 탄소계 음극 활물질의 혼합 비율이 상기 범위를 만족하는 경우, 용량 특성을 향상시키면서도 실리콘계 음극 활물질의 부피 팽창이 억제되어 우수한 사이클 성능을 확보할 수 있다.
상기 음극 활물질은 음극 활물질층 전체 중량을 기준으로 80 중량% 내지 99중량%로 포함될 수 있다. 음극 활물질의 함량이 상기 범위를 만족할 경우, 우수한 용량 특성 및 전기화학적 특성을 얻을 수 있다.
다음으로, 상기 도전재는 음극활물질의 도전성을 더욱 향상시키기 위한 성분으로서, 음극 활물질층의 전체 중량을 기준으로 10 중량% 이하, 바람직하게는 5 중량% 이하로 첨가될 수 있다. 이러한 도전재는 당해 전지에 화학적 변화를 유발하지 않으면서 도전성을 가진 것이라면 특별히 제한되는 것은 아니며, 예를 들어, 천연 흑연이나 인조 흑연 등의 흑연; 아세틸렌 블랙, 케첸 블랙, 채널 블랙, 퍼네이스 블랙, 램프 블랙, 서멀 블랙 등의 카본블랙; 탄소 섬유나 금속 섬유 등의 도전성 섬유; 불화 카본, 알루미늄, 니켈 분말 등의 금속 분말; 산화아연, 티탄산 칼륨 등의 도전성 휘스커; 산화티탄 등의 도전성 금속 산화물; 폴리페닐렌 유도체 등의 도전성 소재 등이 사용될 수 있다.
상기 바인더는 도전재, 활물질 및 집전체 간의 결합에 조력하는 성분으로서, 통상적으로 음극 활물질층의 전체 중량을 기준으로 0.1 중량% 내지 10 중량%로 첨가된다. 이러한 바인더의 예로는, 폴리비닐리덴플루오라이드(PVDF), 폴리비닐알코올, 카르복시메틸셀룰로우즈(CMC), 전분, 히드록시프로필셀룰로우즈, 재생 셀룰로우즈, 폴리비닐피롤리돈, 테트라플루오로에틸렌, 폴리에틸렌, 폴리프로필렌, 에틸렌-프로필렌-디엔폴리머(EPDM), 술폰화-EPDM, 스티렌-부타디엔 고무, 니트릴-부타디엔 고무, 불소 고무, 이들의 다양한 공중합체 등을 들 수 있다.
상기 음극은 당해 기술 분야에 알려져 있는 음극 제조 방법에 따라 제조될 수 있다. 예를 들면, 상기 음극은 음극 집전체 상에 음극 활물질과, 선택적으로 바인더 및 도전재를 용매 중에 용해 또는 분산시켜 제조한 음극 슬러리를 도포하고 압연, 건조하는 방법 또는 상기 음극 슬러리를 별도의 지지체 상에 캐스팅한 다음, 지지체를 박리시켜 얻은 필름을 음극 집전체 상에 라미네이션함으로써 제조될 수 있다.
상기 음극 집전체는 전지에 화학적 변화를 유발하지 않으면서 높은 도전성을 가지는 것이라면 특별히 제한되는 것은 아니며, 예를 들어, 구리, 스테인레스스틸, 알루미늄, 니켈, 티탄, 소성 탄소, 구리나 스테인레스 스틸의 표면에 탄소, 니켈, 티탄, 은 등으로 표면처리한 것, 알루미늄-카드뮴 합금 등이 사용될 수 있다. 또, 상기 음극 집전체는 통상적으로 3㎛ 내지 500㎛의 두께를 가질 수 있으며, 양극 집전체와 마찬가지로, 상기 집전체 표면에 미세한 요철을 형성하여 음극활물질의 결합력을 강화시킬 수도 있다. 예를 들어, 필름, 시트, 호일, 네트, 다공질체, 발포체, 부직포체 등 다양한 형태로 사용될 수 있다.
상기 용매는 당해 기술분야에서 일반적으로 사용되는 용매일 수 있으며, 디메틸셀폭사이드(dimethyl sulfoxide, DMSO), 이소프로필 알코올(isopropyl alcohol), N-메틸피롤리돈(NMP), 아세톤(acetone) 또는 물 등을 들 수 있으며, 이들 중 1종 단독 또는 2종 이상의 혼합물이 사용될 수 있다. 상기 용매의 사용량은 음극 합재의 도포 두께, 제조 수율, 작업성 등을 고려하여 음극 슬러리가 적절한 점도를 갖도록 조절될 수 있는 정도이면 되고, 특별히 한정되지 않는다.
(3) 분리막
본 발명에 따른 리튬 이차전지는, 상기 양극 및 음극 사이에 분리막을 포함한다.
상기 분리막은 음극과 양극을 분리하고 리튬 이온의 이동 통로를 제공하는 것으로, 통상 리튬 이차 전지에서 분리막으로 사용되는 것이라면 특별한 제한없이 사용가능하며, 특히 전해액의 이온 이동에 대하여 저저항이면서 전해액 함습 능력이 우수한 것이 바람직하다.
구체적으로는 분리막으로 다공성 고분자 필름, 예를 들어 에틸렌 단독중합체, 프로필렌단독중합체, 에틸렌/부텐 공중합체, 에틸렌/헥센 공중합체 및 에틸렌/메타크릴레이트 공중합체 등과 같은 폴리올레핀계 고분자로 제조한 다공성 고분자 필름 또는 이들의 2층 이상의 적층 구조체가 사용될 수 있다. 또 통상적인 다공성 부직포, 예를 들어 고융점의 유리 섬유, 폴리에틸렌테레프탈레이트 섬유 등으로 된 부직포가 사용될 수도 있다. 또, 내열성 또는 기계적 강도 확보를 위해 세라믹 성분 또는 고분자 물질이 포함된 코팅된 분리막이 사용될 수도 있으며, 선택적으로 단층 또는 다층 구조로 사용될 수 있다.
상기와 같은 본 발명에 따른 리튬 이차전지는 휴대전화, 노트북 컴퓨터, 디지털 카메라 등의 휴대용 기기, 및 하이브리드 전기자동차(hybrid electric vehicle, HEV) 등의 전기 자동차 분야 등에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
이에 따라, 본 발명의 다른 일 구현예에 따르면, 상기 리튬 이차전지를 단위 셀로 포함하는 전지 모듈 및 이를 포함하는 전지팩이 제공된다.
상기 전지모듈 또는 전지팩은 파워 툴(Power Tool); 전기자동차(Electric Vehicle, EV), 하이브리드 전기자동차, 및 플러그인 하이브리드 전기자동차(Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle, PHEV)를 포함하는 전기차; 또는 전력 저장용 시스템 중 어느 하나 이상의 중대형 디바이스 전원으로 이용될 수 있다.
본 발명의 리튬 이차전지의 외형은 특별한 제한이 없으나, 캔을 사용한 원통형, 각형, 파우치(pouch)형 또는 코인(coin)형 등이 될 수 있다.
본 발명에 따른 리튬 이차전지는 소형 디바이스의 전원으로 사용되는 전지셀에 사용될 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 다수의 전지셀들을 포함하는 중대형 전지모듈에 단위전지로도 바람직하게 사용될 수 있다.
이하, 구체적인 실시예를 통해 본 발명을 구체적으로 설명한다.
실시예 1
(비수 전해액 제조)
에틸렌 카보네이트(EC): 디메틸카보네이트(DMC) : 프로피오니트릴(PN)을 10 : 80 : 10의 부피비로 혼합한 비수성 유기 용매에 LiPF6를 0.5M, LiFSI를 1.0M가 되도록 용해시킨 후, 첨가제로 비닐렌 카보네이트 3중량%, 1,3-프로판 설톤 0.5중량%, 에틸렌 설페이트 1중량%, LiBF4 0.2중량% 및 플루오로벤젠 6중량%를 첨가하여 비수 전해액을 제조하였다.
(양극 제조)
양극 활물질 입자로 리튬 니켈-망간-코발트계 산화물 (LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2; NCM811), 도전재로 카본 블랙 및 바인더로 폴리비닐리덴플루오라이드 (PVDF)를 97.7 : 0.3 : 2의 중량 비율로 용제인 N-메틸-2-피롤리돈 (NMP)에 첨가하여 양극 활물질 슬러리를 제조하였다. 상기 양극 활물질 슬러리를 두께가 20㎛인 양극 집전체 (Al 박막)에 도포하고, 건조하고 롤 프레스(roll press)를 실시하여 양극을 제조하였다.
(음극 제조)
음극 활물질 (인조 흑연:SiO = 95:5 중량비), 바인더로 PVDF, 도전재로 카본 블랙을 97:0.5:2.5의 중량 비율로 용제인 NMP에 첨가하여 음극 활물질 슬러리를 제조하였다. 상기 음극 활물질 슬러리를 두께가 10㎛인 음극 집전체 (Cu 박막)에 도포하고, 건조하고 롤 프레스(roll press)를 실시하여 음극을 제조하였다.
(이차전지 제조)
전술한 방법으로 제조한 양극과 음극을 폴리에틸렌 다공성 필름과 함께 순차적으로 적층하는 통상적인 방법으로 전극 조립체를 제조한 다음, 이를 파우치형 이차전지 케이스에 수납하고, 상기에서 제조된 비수 전해액을 주입하여 리튬 이차 전지를 제조하였다.
실시예 2
에틸렌 카보네이트(EC): 디메틸카보네이트(DMC): 프로피오니트릴(PN)을 10 : 60 : 30의 부피비로 혼합한 비수성 유기 용매를 사용한 점을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로, 비수 전해액 및 리튬 이차 전지를 제조하였다.
비교예 1
에틸렌 카보네이트 : 디메틸카보네이트를 10 : 90의 부피비로 혼합한 비수성 유기 용매를 사용한 점을 제외하고는 실시예 1과 동일한 방법으로, 비수 전해액 및 리튬 이차 전지를 제조하였다.
실험예 1: 저온 출력 성능 평가
실시예 1 ~ 2 및 비교예 1에 의해 제조된 리튬 이차 전지 각각을 25℃ 에서 0.1C 속도로 3 시간 동안 포메이션 공정을 실시한 다음, 25℃에서 0.33C 속도/2.5V 전압으로 4.2V까지 초기 충방전을 수행하였다.
이어서, SOC 50% 상태에서 25℃ 온도 조건, 2.5C 속도로 각각 10초, 30초 및 60초 동안 방전하여 발생하는 전압차이를 이용하여 상온에서의 이차전지의 직류 내부 저항(DCIR)을 각각 측정하였다.
또한, SOC 50% 상태에서 0℃ 온도 조건 2.5C 속도로 60초간 방전하여 발생하는 전압차이를 이용하여 0℃에서의 이차 전지의 직류 내부 저항(DCIR)을 측정하였다.
또한, SOC 50% 상태에서 -10℃ 온도 조건 2.5C 속도로 30초간 방전하여 발생하는 전압 차이를 이용하여 -10℃에서의 이차전지의 직류 내부 저항(DCIR)을 측정하였다. 측정 결과는 하기 [표 1]에 나타내었다.

상기 [표 1]을 통해, 본 발명의 비수 전해액을 사용한 실시예 1 ~ 2의 이차 전지가 비교예 1의 이차 전지에 비해 상온 및 저온에서 더 낮은 저항 특성을 가짐을 확인할 수 있다.
실험예 2: 이온 전도도
이온 전도도는 METTLER TOLEDO 사의 Seven Excellence S700 장비를 사용하여 25℃조건에서 측정하였다. 구체적으로는, 수조(bath)에 실시예 1 ~ 3 및 비교예 1 ~ 2에 의해 제조된 비수 전해액을 이온전도도 측정용 프로브(probe)가 잠기도록 채운 후, 함침된 프로브(probe)를 통해 이온 전도도를 측정하였다. 측정된 이온전도도 값을 하기 표 2에 나타내었다.

상기 [표 2]에 나타난 바와 같이, 실시예 1 ~ 2의 전해액의 경우, 비교예 1의 비수 전해액에 비해 우수한 이온 전도도를 나타냈다.
실험예 3: 급속 충전 성능 평가
실시예 2 및 비교예 1에 의해 제조된 리튬 이차 전지 각각의 초기 용량을 측정한 후, SOC(State Of Charge, SOC) 8% 상태의 리튬 이차 전지를 SOC 상태에 따라 C-rate를 하기 [표 3]에 기재된 바와 같이 변화시키면서 충전을 진행하고, 각 충전 구간별로 1초 간격을 두고 전압 값을 확인하여 전압 프로파일을 측정하였다.
이후, 상온(25℃에서 SOC 8%에서 SOC80%까지 각 SOC 구간별 설정된 C-rate로 각 구간에서 설정된 종료 시간과 CC 모드에서 얻어진 각 구간 별 전압값을 가지고 종료 조건을 설정하여 CC/CV 모드로 충전 했을 때의 충전량을 기록하였다. 그리고 다시 CC모드로 0.33C로 SOC 8%까지 방전하였다. 상기 충전 및 방전을 진행하는 것을 1 사이클(cycle)로 하여 70 사이클 진행한 후 충전 용량을 측정하고, {70 사이클 후 측정된 충전 용량/초기 충전 용량} × 100을 급속 충전 용량 유지율(%)로 평가하였으며, 측정 결과는 하기 표 4에 나타내었다.

상기 표 4에 기재된 바와 같이, 환형 카보네이트, 디메틸 카보네이트 및 나이트릴계 용매를 모두 포함하는 비수성 전해액을 사용한 실시예 2의 경우, 급속 충전 후 용량 유지율이 높았으나, 나이트릴계 용매를 포함하지 않는 비교예 1의 경우, 급속 충전 후 용량이 급속히 퇴화되어 전지가 구동되지 않았다.
Claims (13)
- 환형 카보네이트, 디메틸 카보네이트 및 하기 [화학식 1]로 표시되는 나이트릴계 용매를 포함하는 유기 용매; 및리튬염을 포함하는 비수 전해액.[화학식 I]R-CN상기 [화학식 I]에서, R은 탄소수 3 ~ 10의 알킬기 또는 탄소수 3 ~ 10의 알케닐기임.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 환형 카보네이트의 부피에 대한 상기 디메틸 카보네이트와 [화학식 1]로 표시되는 나이트릴계 용매의 부피의 합의 비가 8 내지 10인 비수 전해액
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 유기 용매는 5 내지 15부피%의 환형 카보네이트, 40 내지 90부피%의 디메틸 카보네이트 및 5 내지 40부피%의 상기 [화학식 1]로 표시되는 나이트릴계 용매를 포함하는 것인 비수 전해액.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 [화학식 I]로 표시되는 나이트릴계 용매는 프로피오나이트릴, n-부티로나이트릴, iso-부티로나이트릴, n-펜텐나이트릴, 2-메틸-2-부텐나이트릴, 및 3-메틸-2-부텐나이트릴로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 1종 이상인 비수 전해액.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 비수 전해액은 계면 활성제를 더 포함하는 것인 비수 전해액.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 계면 활성제는 하기 화학식 II로 표시되는 화합물을 포함하는 것인 비수 전해액.[화학식 II]상기 [화학식 II]에서,Rf는 적어도 하나 이상의 불소로 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 1 내지 5의 알킬렌기이고,Rg, Rh, Ri 및 Rj는 각각 독립적으로 불소 원소 또는 불소로 치환 또는 비치환된 탄소수 1 내지 3의 알킬기이고,R0는 지방족 탄화수소기 또는 방향족 탄화수소기고,R'''는 수소 또는 탄소수 1 내지 3의 알킬기이며,o는 1 내지 3 중 어느 하나의 정수이며,p 및 q는 반복단위 수이며,p는 1 내지 10 중 어느 하나의 정수이고,q는 1 내지 15 중 어느 하나의 정수이다.
- 제5항에 있어서,상기 계면 활성제는 비수 전해액 전체 중량을 기준으로 0.01 내지 5중량%로 포함되는 것인 비수 전해액.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 비수 전해액은 환형 카보네이트계 화합물, 할로겐 치환된 카보네이트계 화합물, 설톤계 화합물, 설페이트계 화합물, 포스페이트계 화합물, 보레이트계 화합물, 니트릴계 화합물, 벤젠계 화합물, 아민계 화합물, 실란계 화합물 및 리튬염계 화합물로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 적어도 하나의 첨가제를 더 포함하는 것인 비수 전해액.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 비수 전해액은, 첨가제로 환형 카보네이트계 화합물, 설톤계 화합물, 설페이트계 화합물, 리튬염계 화합물 및 벤젠계 화합물을 더 포함하는 것인 비수 전해액.
- 양극 활물질을 포함하는 양극;음극 활물질을 포함하는 음극;상기 음극 및 양극 사이에 개재되는 분리막; 및청구항 1의 비수 전해액을 포함하는 리튬 이차 전지.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 양극 활물질은 하기 [화학식 A]로 표시되는 리튬 복합 전이금속 산화물인 리튬 이차 전지.[화학식 A]Lix[NiyCozMnwM1 v]O2-pAp상기 [화학식 A]에서,M1은 W, Cu, Fe, V, Cr, Ti, Zr, Zn, Al, In, Ta, Y, La, Sr, Ga, Sc, Gd, Sm, Ca, Ce, Nb, Mg, B, 및 Mo로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 원소이고,A는 F, Cl, Br, I, At 및 S로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택된 1종 이상의 원소이며,0.8≤x≤1.2, 0.7≤y<1, 0<z<0.3, 0<w<0.3, 0≤v≤0.2, 0≤p≤0.2임.
- 제10항에 있어서,상기 음극 활물질은 탄소계 음극 활물질 및 실리콘계 음극 활물질을 포함하는 것인 리튬 이차 전지.
- 제12항에 있어서,상기 탄소계 음극 활물질 및 상기 실리콘계 음극 활물질은 99 : 1 내지 50 : 50의 중량비율로 포함되는 것인 리튬 이차 전지.
