- the optical fiber which is difficult to handle, is shaped more compactly than the configuration shown in FIG. Therefore, even when the optical module is temporarily stored on a tray or the like, it is easy to handle, saves space, and can be stored at high density. Further, because of the structure of the removing portion and the holding portion peculiar to the present invention, even when the optical fiber is taken out from the package, the state of being wound inside the package can be maintained. When processing the end of the optical fiber or connecting it to other parts of the transceiver, the optical fiber may be released from the wound state immediately before the necessary work. Therefore, the optical module can be grabbed by the automatic mounting machine and mounted on the substrate of the transceiver in the same manner as other electric components such as ICs and DSP chips. If a package having an opening in the center of the upper and lower sheets is used, the upper surface of the module can be directly sucked by the automatic mounting machine.

- Optical module can be mounted on.
- the periphery of the opening may be fixed.
- the winding diameter in the winding state of the optical fiber can be freely set depending on the configuration and shape of the holding portion. Therefore, the optical fiber stored in the package can be shaped with a winding diameter according to the user's intended use in the subsequent process and stored in the package. For example, in the transceiver assembly process, extra length processing of the optical fiber according to the transceiver configuration is required.
- the package of the present invention makes it possible to pack and store an optical fiber while performing flexible forming according to a user's request in a subsequent process.
- the present invention can be used for an optical module in an optical communication system.

Description
トランシーバの消費電力やサイズは、標準化団体のOIF(The Optical Internetworking Forum)等によって規格が決定されている。
