Description

DESCRIPTION DESCRIPTION
TITRE : PROCÉDÉ DE FABRICATION D'UN MIROIR DÉCORATIF OU D'UN ACCESSOIRE D'HABITATION INCLUANT UN TEL MIROIR DÉCORATIF TITLE: PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF A DECORATIVE MIRROR OR OF A HOME ACCESSORY INCLUDING SUCH A DECORATIVE MIRROR
The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a decorative mirror or a home accessory including such a decorative mirror.
To manufacture a plane mirror, conventionally used a plane window which is covered with a metal film intended to reflect the light or the image of surrounding objects.
To manufacture a window, it is known to use a flotation process. Molten glass is poured over a bath of molten tin. As it floats on the flat surface of the molten liquid, a ribbon of glass forms and then stretches as it cools. The glass plates are then stretched by rolling to the desired thickness.
A reflective layer, for example based on aluminum or silver and which is itself covered with a protective layer based on copper or lead, commonly called tain, is deposited on one face of this window.
A mirror element of the desired size is then cut from the mirror plate thus produced.
The perimeter of the mirror element is chamfered. The mirror element can be used as such, for example in an oval shape or can be attached to an accessory, for example an oscillating mirror on legs, a holder dimensioned at the perimeter of the mirror.
Based on this observation, the applicant sought a solution to design a decorative mirror or a home accessory including such a decorative mirror, relatively easy to manufacture and which can have an easily modifiable appearance.
A cet effet, est proposé un procédé de fabrication d'un miroir décoratif consistant à : To this end, a method of manufacturing a decorative mirror is proposed, consisting of:
- utiliser une plaque support plane fabriquée en bois reconstitué, - use a flat support plate made of reconstituted wood,
- Machining the plate by locally removing the sheet of mirror laminate by crossing said sheet of mirror laminate, so as to create at least one groove hollowing out the main face of the plate. It is thus possible to easily manufacture decorative mirrors capable of exhibiting a wide variety of appearances in order to provide them with an attractive aesthetic appearance.
Selon une caractéristique additionnelle de l'invention, l'étape de collage consiste à : According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the bonding step consists of:
- déposer une couche de colle sur ladite face principale de la plaque, - deposit a layer of glue on said main face of the plate,
- déposer la feuille de stratifié miroir sur la colle, - place the mirror laminate sheet on the glue,
- presser ladite feuille de stratifié miroir sur ladite face principale de la plaque de sorte à coller ladite feuille de stratifié miroir sur ladite face principale de la plaque. pressing said sheet of mirror laminate onto said main face of the plate so as to stick said sheet of mirror laminate on said main face of the plate.
This procedure evacuates any air bubbles which may form under the sheet of mirror laminate.
According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the method consists in using a heating press to press the sheet of mirror laminate (Mr) on the main face of the support plate (Pq).
This procedure provides perfect flatness of the sheet of mirror laminate. The duration of this bonding step is thereby shortened.
According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the method consists, before the bonding step, in perfecting, by sanding, the flatness of said main face.
The flatness of the mirror laminate sheet is improved.
According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the method consists in carrying out machining by milling.
It is thus possible to machine all kinds of patterns, thanks to the machining capacity in two or three dimensions of this machining technique.
As an alternative embodiment, the method consists in carrying out the machining using a laser beam.
The use of a laser beam makes it possible to machine passages or grooves with sharp angles in the geometry of the pattern passing through or hollowing out said mirror. The patterns can again be machined in two or three dimensions.
A decorative mirror, comprising a support plate (Pq) and on which is fixed a sheet of mirror laminate (Mr), produced by the method forms part of the invention.
According to an additional characteristic of the invention, the constituent plate of the decorative mirror is made of MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard or panel of medium density fibers, in French translation). This material has a good appearance, is easy to machine and remains geometrically stable over time.
[Fig 8] shows a perspective view of an alternative embodiment of a decorative mirror according to the invention and, [Fig. 9] shows a sectional view of a mirror being machined by the use of a laser beam to modify its appearance according to the invention.
The support plate Pq shown in FIG. 1 is intended to enter into the manufacture of a mirror, itself engineered to design a decorative mirror or a home accessory including such a decorative mirror according to the invention. The support plate Pq preferably consists of a plate made of reconstituted wood, such as MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard or medium density fiberboard, in French translation).
The plate is preferably tinted in the mass. It preferably has a black, green or gray color appearance. The plate Pq shown in this FIG. 1, a plane geometry. It still has a square shape in top view. In other embodiments, not shown, the plate has a polygonal shape other than square, a circular shape, an oval shape. These shapes are not limiting on the appearance of the perimeter of the plate.
This material was chosen for its attractive appearance, its ease of machining and its dimensional stability over time.
A main face Fp of the support plate Pq is used to fix thereon a reflecting surface having the appearance of a mirror, with the aim of manufacturing a mirror.
Preferably, said main face Fp is surfaced, that is to say that the flatness of said main face has been perfect by sanding consisting of leveling any asperities on said face, so that said reflecting surface can also present the best possible flatness, like a mirror.
With reference to FIG. 2, a layer of adhesive Co, for example a vinyl adhesive commonly called white adhesive, is then deposited on this face Fp of the support plate Pq. The deposition is carried out, for example, using a glue gun.
With reference to FIG. 3, a sheet of mirror laminate Mr. is then deposited on the layer of adhesive Co. This sheet of mirror laminate Mr consists of a reflective sheet of metal and which is protected by a transparent film. The metal foil is preferably an aluminum foil. The transparent film is formed by a layer of thermosetting lacquer based on an epoxy resin or a polyurethane lacquer. This Mr mirror laminate sheet has on its face intended to be turned towards the outside of the plate Pq, a mirror effect implemented by the visible face of the aluminum sheet. Such a sheet of Mr mirror laminate is marketed, in particular, under the trademark CÉRADIAM ® or under the trademark MIRADIAM ®.
With reference to FIG. 4, the sheet of mirror laminate Mr is then pressed onto the layer of adhesive Co to obtain a homogeneous bonding of said sheet of mirror laminate Mr on the support plate Pq and to remove air bubbles under the sheet of mirror laminate Mr.
To obtain a perfect bonding by uniformly distributing the glue in order to obtain a perfect flatness of the mirror laminate sheet, a step of hot pressing the mirror laminate sheet is preferable. The adhesive film becomes more liquid and is distributed better to obtain a perfect flatness of the sheet of mirror laminate. The gluing step is also faster.
A press is thus used including a heating plate Pc. The temperature of the hot plate is maintained between 60 ° C and 90 ° C during the pressing time. The pressing time is between 6 and 8 minutes. The pressing pressure is 10 daN / cm 2 for a sheet of Mr mirror laminate including an aluminum foil with a maximum of 30 daN / cm 2 for a sheet of Mr mirror laminate including a steel sheet.
In these Figs. 2, 3 and 4, the support plate Pq, the adhesive layer Co, the mirror laminate sheet Mr, as well as the heating plate Pc are separated by interstices, the representation of which serves only to facilitate reading of the drawings.
At the end of this manufacturing step, a perfectly flat mirror is obtained. Such a plane mirror is shown in FIG. 5, with the reference M. The visible face of the mirror laminate sheet Mr has a mirror appearance capable of reflecting light and the image of surrounding objects. It can be used as such. Its manufacturing cost is lower than that of a conventional mirror.
In the invention, this mirror M is transformed to modify its appearance. It is transformed by machining and preferably by means of a milling machine using a machining milling cutter. The milling machine makes it possible to machine all kinds of patterns in two or three dimensions in the mirror M, allowing the creativity of a designer to be exploited.
The milling machine is operated by a control and command unit of its operation, such as a programmable logic controller.
In Fig. 6, the mirror M is clamped on a support Sp. The cutter F is used to knock out the plate Pq, that is to say to pass through said plate as well as the sheet of mirror laminate Mr, during machining or to groove its main face Fp by hollowing it out while removing a part of it. through the Mr mirror laminate sheet.
The cutter F is thus able to machine at least one passage Ps through the support plate Pq, while removing part of the sheet of mirror laminate Mr.
The cutter F may still be able to machine at least one groove Rn by hollowing out the main face Fp, while removing part of the sheet of mirror laminate Mr. In the invention, the sheet can be machined at will and easily. mirror laminate Mr as well as the support plate Pq, while it is much more complicated to machine a mirror including a sheet of glass.
At the end of this manufacturing step, a decorative mirror is obtained. Such a decorative mirror is shown in Fig. 7 with the reference Md. One Fp of its main faces has a mirror appearance capable of reflecting the light and the image of any object. It can be used as such.
The decorative mirror Md is crossed by a plurality of passages Ps which in this FIG. 7, a labyrinth-shaped geometry.
It should be noted that the machined Ps passages can take on a completely different aspect, for example, a geometry in the form of objects of any kind (any other geometric shape, animal, flower, etc.).
In the variant embodiment of the decorative mirror Md presented in FIG. 8, a mirror R including a glass plate is embedded and glued in a groove Rn crossing the sheet of mirror laminate Mt and hollowing out the main face Fp of the plate Pq.
The decorative mirror can be included in an accessory that is typically found in a home.
These accessories include a trivet, a screen.
The trivet consists of a decorative mirror that can be fitted with feet to elevate it.
The screen comprises panels articulated in pairs and which are respectively made up of decorative mirrors.
In an alternative embodiment shown in FIG. 9, the machining of the mirror M is carried out by means of a machining machine using a laser beam Ls. The use of a laser beam makes it possible to machine passages G or grooves Rn with sharp angles in the geometry of the pattern passing through or hollowing out said mirror. As this is a passage, the use of a laser beam of suitable power makes it possible to cut patterns throughout the thickness of the mirror.
In the case of an Rn groove, the machining depth of the Rn groove is obtained by modulating the power of the laser beam and scanning the surface of the pattern or by focusing the laser beam and scanning the surface of the pattern.
The depth of removal of the material can also be obtained by removing the material in successive layers. A gas blast can be used to remove the burnt material.
Le faisceau laser coupe facilement la feuille de stratifié miroir Mr. The laser beam easily cuts the sheet of Mr.
This laser beam machining process is suitable for manufacturing mirrors called "lace mirrors", that is to say, finely worked mirrors.
