Cette invention concerne une unité de levage (1) pour un engin de travail (2). L'unité de levage (1) comprend un corps (3) pouvant être raccordé à l'engin de travail (2) sur une zone de chargement de celui-ci, au moins un moyen de levage (4) raccordé au corps (3), et une unité d'entraînement (8) raccordé au(x) moyen(s) de levage (4). L'unité de levage (1) est caractérisée en ce que le(s) moyen(s) de levage (4) est/sont entraîné(s) électriquement et mobile(s) latéralement par rapport au corps (3) de l'unité de levage (1). L'invention concerne en outre un engin de travail (2).
