Abstract
La présente invention concerne des polymères comprenant au moins une unité répétitive de formule (A) ci-dessous : dans laquelle : - R' est un groupe alkyle comprenant de 6 à 36 atomes de carbone, - Mi répond à l'une des formules (II) ou (III) suivantes : dans lesquelles : • X représente notamment un atome de carbone ou de silicium, • R représente un groupe alkyle comprenant de 6 à 36 atomes de carbone, et • R" représente un groupe alkyle comprenant de 6 à 36 atomes de carbone.
Description
TITRE : POLYMÈRES À TRÈS FAIBLE BANDE INTERDITE
La présente invention concerne de nouveaux polymères à très faible bande interdite absorbant dans le proche infra-rouge, ainsi que leur procédé de préparation. Elle concerne également les utilisations desdits polymères, notamment dans des applications en interaction avec le corps humain.
Les polymères conjugués sont principalement développés pour des applications en électronique organique, de par leur légèreté et flexibilité qui permettent de produire des cellules par des procédés d’impression en ligne qui ont un coût de production modéré. Les propriétés optiques et électroniques des molécules organiques sont déterminées par la largeur de leur bande interdite (band- gap en anglais) qui est la différence d’énergie entre les niveaux HOMO et LUMO. Dès lors, le design de molécules à bande interdite contrôlée est un enjeu important qui implique des compétences chimiques certaines. La stratégie la plus efficace permettant de synthétiser des polymères à faible bande interdite consiste en une alternance entre une unité riche en électrons et une deuxième pauvre en électrons. Un polymère du type donneur-accepteur (D-A) peut présenter deux formes de résonance qui peuvent coexister sous la forme (D-A< D+=A )(a) Ji Qi, Wenqiang Qiao, and Zhi Yuan Wang, Chem. Rec. 2016, 16, 1531-1548. b) Y. Li, Accounts Chem. Res. 2012, 45, 723. c) J. M. Szarko, L. Guo, Y. Liang, B. Lee, B. S. Rolczynski, J. Strzalka, T. Zu, S. Loser, T. J. Marks, L. Yu, L. X. Chen, Adv. Mater., 2010, 22, 5468). Une de ces formes permet d’augmenter le caractère de la double liaison, réduisant l’alternance de la longueur de liaison de façon similaire et diminuant la distorsion de Pierls. L’hybridation des niveaux d’énergie de la HOMO et de la LUMO des unités D et A va générer deux nouveaux niveaux d’énergie HOMO et LUMO pour le copolymère (D-A). Ces facteurs vont contribuer à la diminution de l’énergie de la bande interdite.
Les copolymères à faible bande interdite de type Donneur-Accepteur (D-A) ont contribué de façon significative au développement de dispositifs électroniques avec des performances de plus en plus élevées, notamment car leur gamme d’absorption est plus en adéquation avec le rayonnement solaire. Il existe actuellement une grande variété de monomères donneurs et accepteurs qui offrent une large gamme de copolymères (D-A) alternés, avec les niveaux d’énergies HOMO-LUMO et des énergies de bande interdite bien définies, et surtout ajustables
en fonction des monomères choisis. Pendant de nombreuses années cette approche s’est limitée à la synthèse de polymères absorbant dans le visible (a) Z.- G. Zhang, J. Wang, J. Mater. Chem. 2012, 22, 4178. b) Letian Dou, Yongsheng Liu, Ziruo Hong, Gang Li, and Yang Yang, Chem. Rev., 2015, 1 15 (23), pp 12633- 12665) mais ces cinq dernières années quelques scientifiques ont développé des molécules absorbant dans le proche infra-rouge pour des applications dans le médical ((a) Z. Peng, H. J. Geise, Bull. Soc. Chim. Belg. 1996, 105, 739. b) Tingting Sun, Jin-Hu Dou, Shi Liu, Xin Wang, Xiaohua Zheng, Yapei Wang, Jian Pei, and Zhigang Xie, ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, 2018, 10 (9), pp 7919-7926) ou dans les photodétecteurs (Chang Liu, Kai Wang, Xiong Gong and Alan J. Heeger, Chem. Soc. Rev., 2016,45, 4825-4846).
Gong et al. (X. Gong, M. Tong, Y. Xia, W. Cai, J. S. Moon, Y. Cao, G. Yu, C-L. Shieh, B. Nilsson, A. J. Heeger, Science 2009, 325, 1665) ont fabriqué des photodétecteurs basés sur un mélange de polymères avec des absorbances complémentaires (300 -1 250 nm) en utilisant le poly(5,7-bis(4-décanyl-2-thiényl)- thiéno(3,4-b)diathiazole-thiophène-2,5) (PDDTT) avec le PCBM. Un autre polymère avec une largeur très faible de la bande interdite (avec un seuil d’absorption à 1 100 nm) a été intégré dans un dispositif de photo détecteur et a été obtenu en polymérisant le thiophène et la thiénopyrazine (PDTTP)(E-C. Chen, S-R. Tseng, Y-C. Chao, H-F. Meng, C-F. Wang, W-C. Chen, C-S Hsu, S- F. Horng, Synth. Met. 201 1 , 161 , 1618). Une série de polymères basés sur l’accepteur diazapentalène, un analogue du diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP), ont été synthétisés avec des unités riches en électrons. Un de ces polymères absorbe dans l’infra-rouge avec une valeur seuil d’absorption de 1 200 nm (G. Qian, Z. Y. Wang, J. Mater. Chem. 2012, 22, 12867).
La présente invention a pour but de fournir des polymères qui absorbent dans l’infra-rouge avec des valeurs seuils encore plus décalées par rapport aux polymères de l’état de la technique, et notamment de l’ordre de 1 450 nm.
La présente invention a également pour but de fournir des polymères très attractifs pour des applications dans le médical et dans l’électronique organique.
Ainsi, la présente invention concerne des composés comprenant au moins une unité répétitive de formule (A) ci-dessous :

Les composés de l’invention sont des copolymères obtenus à partir d’un monomère de type BDOPV et d’un monomère dérivé de Mi, comme décrit plus loin.
Selon un mode de réalisation, les composés de l’invention répondent à la formule (1-1 ) suivante :

- n est un nombre entier compris entre 3 et 100, de préférence compris entre
50 et 100 ; et

Selon la présente invention, le terme « alkyle » désigne un groupe aliphatique hydrocarboné, saturé, linéaire ou ramifié comprenant, sauf mention contraire, de 6 à 36 atomes de carbone. Selon l’invention, de préférence, les groupes alkyles sont ramifiés.
Selon un mode de réalisation préféré, dans la formule (I) ou (1-1 ), R’ est un groupe alkyle ramifié comprenant de 10 à 30 atomes de carbone.
De préférence, R’ comprend de 20 à 30 atomes de carbone. Préférentiellement, R’ est -CH2-CH(Ci2H25)(CioH2i).
Selon un mode de réalisation, dans les formules (I) ou (1-1 ) susmentionnées, Mi répond à la formule (II).
De préférence, dans la formule (II) susmentionnée, R est un groupe alkyle ramifié comprenant de 6 à 36 atomes de carbone.
De préférence, R est un groupe alkyle ramifié comprenant de 6 à 20 atomes de carbone. Préférentiellement, R représente un groupe 2-éthylhexyle ou octyle linéaire.
De préférence, dans la formule (II) susmentionnée, X représente un atome de carbone.
De préférence, dans la formule (II) susmentionnée, X représente un atome de silicium.
De préférence, dans la formule (II) susmentionnée, X représente un atome de carbone et R représente un groupe 2-éthylhexyle.

X, R et R” étant tels que définis ci-dessus, et Y et Z représentant Sn(R’”)3, Br, I ou H, R’” représentant un groupe alkyle comprenant de 1 à 6 atomes de carbone, en présence d’au moins un catalyseur et d’au moins un solvant,
- une étape de chauffage de l’ensemble à une température comprise entre 100°C et 150°C pendant une durée comprise entre 1 heure et 3 jours, et
- une étape de récupération du composé.
Selon un mode de réalisation, le catalyseur utilisé dans le procédé ci-dessus est un catalyseur à base de palladium.
Parmi ces catalyseurs, on peut notamment citer Pd(PPh3)2, ou bien le système (Pd (dba)3 +P(o-tolyl)3).
Selon un mode de réalisation, le solvant utilisé dans le procédé ci-dessus est choisi parmi les solvants aromatiques.
Parmi ces solvants, on peut notamment citer le chlorobenzène, le toluène ou le xylène.
Selon un mode de réalisation, l’étape de récupération susmentionnée comprend au moins une étape de précipitation, filtration puis extraction via Soxhlet.
La présente invention concerne également l’utilisation d’un composé selon l’invention, notamment répondant à l’une des formules (1-1 ), (IV), (V), (VI), (VII), (VIII) ou (IX), dans un dispositif d’électronique organique, et de préférence de photodétecteur.
Les composés de l’invention sont notamment utilisés dans des applications en interaction avec le corps humain de par leurs longueurs d’onde d’absorption.
Ils peuvent également être utilisés dans des capteurs à très faible focale sans optique.
Les composés de l’invention sont également utilisés dans la conversion photothermique, la thérapie photothermique, les transistors, ou encore en imagerie photoacoustique.

EXEMPLES
PREPARATION DES COPOLYMÈRES
1. Préparation des intermédiaires de synthèse
La triphénylphosphine (47,87 g, 183 mmol) et le 2-décyl-1 -tétradécanol (59 mL, 140 mmol) sont dissous dans du THF anhydre (300 mL) puis la solution est refroidie à 0°C. Puis le diisopropyazodicarboxylate (DIAD) (35,87 mL, 182 mmol) est ajouté goutte à goutte et s’ensuit l’ajout goutte à goutte du diphényl phosphorazidate (36,25 mL, 168 mmol). Le milieu réactionnel est ensuite agité vigoureusement toute la nuit sous atmosphère d’azote. Après évaporation du solvant, une extraction avec de l’hexane est réalisée. Isoler la phase organique et la sécher en ajoutant du MgSC>4 anhydre. Filtrer la solution, évaporer et concentrer le produit puis purifier le produit à l’aide de la chromatographie flash en utilisant l’heptane comme éluant. Une huile incolore est obtenue.
Le 2-décyl-1 -tétradécanol (13,85 g, 36,5 mmol) est dissous dans du diéthyléther anhydre (50 mL) puis dégazer la solution avec trois cycles vide-azote. Ajouter goutte à goutte le tétrahydruroaluminate de lithium (50 mL, 1 M in hexane,
50 mmol) au milieu réactionnel pendant 1 heure. Porter le milieu réactionnel à reflux pendant 1 heure. Refroidir le milieu réactionnel dans un bain de glace, puis ajouter 50 mL de diéthyléther et ensuite une solution aqueuse d’hydroxyde de sodium à 15%. Effectuer plusieurs lavages à l’eau, isoler la phase organique et la sécher avec du MgSC>4. Filtrer et concentrer la solution. Une huile incolore est obtenue.
Benzo[1 ,2-b:4,5-b’]difuran-2,6(3H,7H)-dione
Dans un ballon monocol surmonté d’un réfrigérant, ajouter (1 ,0 g, 4,4 mmol) d’acide 2,5-dihydroxy-1 ,4-benzenediacétique, et 25 ml_ d’acétique anhydre dans 60 ml_ de toluène puis chauffer à 100°C pendant 4h. Evaporer le solvant et effectuer plusieurs lavages à chaud avec de l’éthanol. Purifier ensuite le produit brut à l’aide de la chromatographie flash (gel de silice) en utilisant le chloroforme comme éluant puis recristalliser le produit dans le toluène. Des cristaux de couleur blanc sont obtenus.
Dans un ballon monocol introduire du bromothiophène, (34 mmol), du 2-décyl- 1 -tétradecan-1 -amine (34 mmol), du cuivre métallique (0.097 g ,1.533 mmol), de l’iodure de cuivre(l) (0,292 g, 1 ,533 mmol) et du phosphate de potassium tribasique (13,02 g, 61 ,3 mmol) dans une solution de 50 ml_ de diméthylaminoéthanol. Agiter le milieu réactionnel à 80°C pendant 48h. Refroidir la solution jusqu’à atteindre la température ambiante, et ajouter 100 ml_ d’eau et effectuer une extraction avec de l’hexane. Isoler la phase organique et la sécher en ajoutant du MgSC anhydre. Filtrer la solution, évaporer et concentrer le produit. Puis purifier le produit à l’aide de la chromatographie flash en utilisant l’hexane comme éluant. Evaporer le solvant sous vide. Un liquide visqueux de couleur marron foncé est obtenu.
4-(2-décyl-1 -tétradécy)-4H-thiophèn-[3,2]-pyrrole-5,6-dione
Préparer une solution de thiophène amine N-alkyle (10,94 mmol) dans 10 ml_ de dichlorométhane anhydre puis l’ajouter goutte à goutte à une solution de chlorure d’oxalyle (1 ,29 ml_, 10,64 mmol) dans 20 ml_ de dichlorométhane à 0°C. Agiter vigoureusement pendant 30 minute, préparer une solution de 5 ml de triéthylamine dans 5 ml_ de dichlorométhane que l’on ajoutera goutte à goutte au milieu réactionnel à 0°C. Agiter le milieu réactionnel toute la nuit à température ambiante. Évaporer le solvant sous vide et le produit brut est purifié à l’aide de la chromatographie flash en utilisant l’hexane et le dichlorométhane comme éluant
(1 :1 , v/v). Un liquide visqueux de couleur rouge est obtenu.
(3E,7E)-3,7-bis(4-(2-décyltétradécyl)-4H-thiéno[3,2-b]pyrrole-5,6 dione)benzo[1 ,2-b:4,5-b']difuran-2,6(3H,7H)-dione (BDOPV ; chaîne ramifiée)
Dissoudre le 4-(2-décyl-1 -tétradecy)-4H-thiophén-[3 ,2]-pyrrole-5,6-dione (3.39 g, 6.93 mmol), le benzo[1 ,2-b:4,5-b']difuran-2,6(3H,7H)-dione (0,66 g, 3,47 mmol), et la pipéridine (0,19 g, 0,97 mmol) dans 45 ml_ d’acide acétique. Le milieu réactionnel est ensuite chauffé à 100°C pendant 18 heures sous azote. Refroidir le milieu réactionnel, filtrer puis effectuer plusieurs lavages avec du méthanol. Le produit brut est ensuite purifié à l’aide de la chromatographie flash en utilisant l’hexane et le dichlorométhane comme éluant (1 :1 , v/v). un solide de couleur verte est obtenu.
BDOPV-Br2 (ou BDOPV dibromé)
7 équivalents de N-bromosuccinimide (NBS) sont ajoutés à une solution de BDOPV (0,42 g, 0,.37 mmol) dans le THF (20 ml_) sous azote à température ambiante. La réaction est suivie par chromatographie couche mince. En fin de réaction, le mélange est versé dans l’eau et extrait au dichlorométhane (3 c 50 mL). La phase organique est lavée à l’eau et séchée sur MgSÜ4 anhydre. Le solvant est évaporé et le résidu est purifié par chromatographie flash sur gel de silice (Hexane:Dichlorométhane = 3 : 1 ). Un solide foncé est obtenu.

PREPARATION DU COPOLYMERE P(DTS-BDOPV) (1)
Dans un tube à micro-ondes (10 mL) tenant aux pressions élevées, ajouter le BDOPV dibromé (0,4 mmol), avec le 4,4'-Bis(2-éthyl-hexyl)-5,5'-bis(trimethyltin)- dithiéno[3,2-b:2',3'-d]silole (DTS-Sn) (Fournisseur 1 -Material, 0.4mmol), la tris(dibenzylidèneacétone) dipalladium(O) (7.38 mg, 0.02 eq) et la tri(o- tolyljphosphine (12.27 mg, 0.1 eq) puis les dissoudre dans 3 mL de de chlorobenzène anhydre en boîte à gants. Le tube est fermé avec un septum en caoutchouc puis est chauffé à 130°C pendant 24h. Après avoir refroidi à température ambiante, un liquide visqueux est obtenu. Il s’en suit la précipitation de la solution de polymère dans le méthanol. Le solide obtenu est purifié par extraction par Soxhlet avec du méthanol, de l’acétone, du cyclohexane et enfin du chloroforme. La fraction extraite avec le chloroforme est ensuite concentrée et précipitée à nouveau dans le méthanol. La poudre finale est obtenue par filtration de la dispersion de méthanol et est séchée sous vide (rendement = 80 %).
PREPARATION DU COPOLYMERE P(CPDT-BDOPV) (2)
Dans un tube à micro-ondes (10 mL) tenant aux pressions élevées ajouter le BDOPV dibromé (0,4 mmol), avec le 4,4’-diethylhexyl-5,5'-bis(trimethyltin)-4/-/- cyclopenta[2,1 -b ;3,4-b]dithiophene (CPDT-Sn) (Fournisseur 1 -Material, 0,4mmol), la tris(dibenzylidèneacétone) dipalladium(O) (7,38 mg, 0,02 eq) et la tri(o- tolyl)phosphine (12,27 mg, 0,1 eq) puis les dissoudre dans 3 mL de chlorobenzène anhydre en boîte à gants. Le tube est fermé avec un septum en caoutchouc puis est chauffé à 130°C pendant 24h. Après avoir refroidi à température ambiante, un liquide visqueux est obtenu. Il s’en suit la précipitation de la solution de polymère dans le méthanol. Le solide obtenu est purifié par extraction par Soxhlet avec du méthanol, de l’acétone, du cyclohexane et enfin du chloroforme. Dans un tube à micro-ondes (10 mL) tenant aux pressions élevées ajouter le BDOPV dibromé (0,4 mmol), avec le 2,5-Bis(2-éthyl-hexyl)-3,6-bis(triméthylstannyl)- thiophèn-2-yl)pyrrolo[3,4-c]pyrrole-1 ,4(2H,5H)-dione (DPP-Sn) (Fournisseur ArkaPharma, 0,4 mmol), la tris(dibenzylidèneacétone) dipalladium(O) (7,38 mg,
0,02 eq) et la tri(o-tolyl)phosphine (12,27 mg, 0,1 eq) puis les dissoudre dans 3 mL de toluène anhydre en boîte à gants. Le tube est fermé avec un septum en caoutchouc puis est chauffé à 100°C pendant 24h. Après avoir refroidi à température ambiante, un liquide visqueux est obtenu. Il s’en suit la précipitation de la solution de polymère dans le méthanol. Le solide obtenu est purifié par extraction par Soxhlet avec du méthanol, de l’acétone, du cyclohexane et enfin du chloroforme. La fraction extraite avec le chloroforme est ensuite concentrée et précipitée à nouveau dans le méthanol. La poudre finale est obtenue par filtration de la dispersion de méthanol et est séchée sous vide (rendement = 80 %).
PROPRIÉTÉS DES COPOLYMÈRES
Pour évaluer les propriétés des copolymères de l’invention, les techniques décrites ci-après ont été utilisées.
Voltampérométrie cyclique : Une cellule standard à trois électrodes AUTOLAB PGSTAT 101 a été utilisée. L’électrode de travail et la contre électrode sont en platine et l’électrode de référence est AgCI/Ag. Les polymères ont été dissous dans du chlorobenzène et déposés sur l’électrode de travail afin de créer un film. Cette électrode a ensuite été plongée dans la cellule remplie d’une solution de Bu4NPF6 (0,1 M) dans l’acétonitrile. A la fin de chaque expérience, le potentiel du couple ferrocénium/ferrocène a été déterminé comme référence interne.
Les analyses thermogravimétriques ont été réalisées avec un TA-Q50 dans des creusets en aluminium. 3 mg d’échantillons ont été chauffés de 40°C à 600°C en utilisant une rampe thermique de 10°C/min.
Les spectres RMN ont été enregistrés en utilisant un spectromètre BRUKER AVANCE (1H 400 MHz et 13C 100 MHz) dans le tétrachloréthane (C2D2CI4). Les déplacements chimiques sont exprimés en ppm par rapport au TMS (tétraméthylsilane).
Les spectres d’absorption UV-visible et N-IR ont été enregistrés sur un spectrophotomètre double faisceau UV-Visible proche Infra-Rouge Cary 5. Les positions des bandes d’absorption sont exprimées en nm.
Le tableau 1 ci-dessous récapitule les résultats obtenus grâce aux spectres d’absorption UV-Visible-Proche infra-rouge, en solution dans le chloroforme, à l’état
solide (film mince), à savoir les longueurs d’onde au maximum d’absorption, le seuil au pied de bande et le gap optique correspondant.
Les mesures de voltampérométrie cyclique ont permis d’établir les niveaux HOMO et LUMO expérimentaux et d’en déduire le gap électrochimique.

Les résultats obtenus d’absorption sont fortement décalés vers le proche infra rouge. Les valeurs de gap optique sont autour de 1 ,0 eV, ce qui est une valeur attendue très faible.
Les spectres d’absorption UV-visible-Proche infrarouge des copolymères (1 ), (2) et (3) sont représentés par les Figures 1 et 2. Par ailleurs, les propriétés thermiques des copolymères ont été évaluées par analyse thermogravimétrique. Les données obtenues sont indiquées dans la tableau 2 ci-dessous.

Les températures de décomposition obtenues pour les 3 copolymères sont supérieures à 370°C ce qui est très élevé, montrant leur grande stabilité thermique. Cette stabilité permet de les mettre en oeuvre facilement pour des dispositifs en électronique organique.
Claims
1. Composé comprenant au moins une unité répétitive de formule (A) suivante :

- Mi répond à l’une des formules (II) ou (III) suivantes :
. X représente un atome de carbone, de silicium, de germanium, de sélénium ou d’azote,
. R représente un groupe alkyle, linéaire ou ramifié, comprenant de 6 à 36 atomes de carbone, et
. R” représente un groupe alkyle, linéaire ou ramifié, comprenant de 6 à 36 atomes de carbone.
2. Composé selon la revendication 1 , répondent à la formule (1-1 ) suivante :

- R’ et Mi sont tels que définis ci-dessus dans la revendication 1 ;
- n est un nombre entier compris entre 3 et 100 ; et
- Ri est H et R2 est Br ou I, ou Ri est Br ou I et R2 est H.
3. Composé selon la revendication 1 ou 2, dans lequel R’ est un groupe alkyle ramifié comprenant de 6 à 36 atomes de carbone, et préférentiellement R’ est -CH2-CH(Cl2H25)(CloH2l).
4. Composé selon l’une quelconque des revendications 1 à 3, de formule (IV) suivante :
