본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 기판어셈블리는 제1기판유닛 및 상기 제1기판유닛과 전기적으로 연결되고, 코일패턴이 형성된 제2기판유닛을 포함하고, 상기 제1기판유닛은 플렉시블 기판이고, 상기 제2기판유닛은 강성기판이며, 상기 제2기판유닛은 전면 또는 후면 중 적어도 하나에 코일패턴이 형성되고, 전기적으로 연결된 상태에서 상, 하 방향으로 적층되는 복수 개의 제2기판을 포함하고, 상기 제2기판유닛은 복수 개가 상기 제1기판유닛에 구비되며, 상기 제2기판유닛에는 상기 제2기판유닛을 상, 하 방향으로 관통하는 관통홀이 형성되고, 사익 코일패턴은 상기 관통홀의 둘레에 형성되며, 상기 제1기판유닛에는 홀센서가 구비되고, 상기 제2기판유닛은 상기 홀센서가 상기 관통홀을 통하여 노출되도록 상기 제1기판유닛에 결합된다.
Description
본 발명은 카메라의 광학 이미지 보정(OIS: Optical Image Stabilization) 기능 및 자동초점기능(AF: Auto Focusing)을 수행하기 위한 코일이 패터닝된 기판 어셈블리, 이의 제조방법 및 이를 포함하는 카메라 모듈에 관한 것이다.
최근 카메라모듈은 스마트폰 등 휴대용 전자기기 이외에 자동차, 드론 등에도 많이 구비되고 있다. 그리고 고품질의 영상의 확보를 위하여 자동초점기능(AF: Auto Focus) 및 광학 손떨림 방지기능(OIS: Optical Image Stabilization)를 위한 다양한 구조가 채택이 되는 것이 일반적이다.
자동초점기능 및 광학 손떨림 방지기능을 구현하기 위해서는 일반적으로 코일 및 자석 사이에서 발생하는 전자기력을 이용하여 카메라 렌즈의 움직임을 보정하는 방식이 사용된다.
이에 사용되는 코일은 구리선을 감아서 제작을 하지만, 코일의 두께가 35~40미크론이여서 공정과정에서 불량률이 높다는 문제점이 있었다.
따라서 최근에는 기판에 코일 형태 패턴을 형성하여 기존의 구리선을 이용한 코일을 대체하려는 시도가 있었다.
특히 대한민국 등록특허 제10-1853047호의 경우 연성기판(Flexible PCB)에 코일패턴을 형성하고 이를 절곡하여 카메라 모듈에 장착을 하는 개념이 개시되어 있다. 그러나 다수의 연성기판을 접합하여 제작을 하는 경우, 연성기판의 두께가 두꺼워져 카메라모듈의 모서리에 해당하는 부분에 결합을 위하여 절곡이 쉽지 않다는 문제점이 있다.
그리고 대한민국 공개특허 제10-2018-007616호에는 다수의 연성기판(Flexible PCB)와 강성기판(Rigid PCB)을 이용하여 코일패턴이 형성된 기판을 만드는 개념이 개시되어 있다. 그러나 이 역시 연성기판 및 강성기판을 연결하는 작업이 필요하여 실제 제작이 쉽지 않다는 문제점이 있었다.
본 발명은 상기와 같은 문제를 해결하기 위한 것으로서, 기판에 패터닝된 코일을 이용하면서 실제 카메라모듈에 장착이 용이한 기판어셈블리, 이의 제작방법 및 이를 포함하는 카메라모듈을 제공하는데 있다.
본 발명이 해결하고자 하는 과제가 상술한 과제로 제한되는 것은 아니며, 언급되지 아니한 과제들은 본 명세서 및 첨부된 도면으로부터 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 명확하게 이해될 수 있을 것이다.
상기의 과제를 해결하기 위한 본 발명의 기판어셈블리는 제1기판유닛 및 상기 제1기판유닛과 전기적으로 연결되고, 코일패턴이 형성된 제2기판유닛을 포함한다.
여기서 상기 제2기판유닛은, 전면 또는 후면 중 적어도 하나에 코일패턴이 형성되고, 전기적으로 연결된 상태에서 상, 하 방향으로 적층되는 복수 개의 제2기판을 포함할 수 있다.
또한, 상기 제2기판유닛은 복수 개가 상기 제1기판유닛에 구비될 수 있다.
그리고 상기 제2기판유닛에는 관통홀이 형성되고, 상기 코일패턴은 상기 관통홀의 둘레에 형성될 수 있다.
여기서 상기 제1기판유닛에는 홀센서가 구비되고, 상기 제2기판유닛은 상기 홀센서가 상기 관통홀을 통하여 노출되도록 상기 제1기판유닛에 결합될 수 있다.
그리고 본 발명의 기판어셈블리를 포함하는 카메라모듈은 수용공간이 형성된 하우징, 상기 수용공간이 이동 가능하게 결합되고, 자석부가 결합되는 렌즈유닛, 상기 자석부에 자력을 제공하는 코일패턴이 형성된 기판어셈블리를 포함한다.
그리고 상기 기판어셈블리의 제조방법은 상기 제1기판유닛에 위치센서 및 제2기판유닛과 전기적인 연결을 위한 패턴을 형성하는 제1기판유닛 패턴형성단계, 상기 제2기판유닛에 코일패턴을 형성하는 코일패턴형성단계, 상기 제2기판유닛에 관통홀을 형성하는 제2기판유닛가공단계, 상기 위치센서가 상기 관통홀을 통하여 외부에 노출되도록 상기 제2기판유닛을 상기 제1기판유닛에 결합하는 제2기판유닛접합단계를 포함한다.
본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 기판어셈블리, 이의 제조방법 및 이를 포함하는카메라 모듈은 아래와 같은 효과가 있다.
첫째, 카메라모듈에 직접 장착이 되는 기판의 경우 연성기판을 사용하여 장착시 절곡 등이 용이하다는 장점이 있다.
둘째, 전체 기판 어셈블리에서 절곡이 되지 않는 영역의 경우 강성기판을 사용하여 양산비용을 줄일 수 있으며, 전체적인 제작과정이 용이하다는 장점이 있다.
셋째, 홀센서 및 제2기판어셈블리의 전기적 연결을 위한 패턴 형성을 동시에 진행을 하여 공정시간을 줄일 수 있고, 제2기판의 관통홀을 형성하는 공정을 통하여 기존의 구리코일이 제공되는 경우와 동일한 위치의 위치센서를 구비할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.
본 발명의 효과가 상술한 효과들로 제한되는 것은 아니며, 언급되지 아니한 효과들은 본 명세서 및 첨부된 도면으로부터 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야에서 통상의 지식을 가진 자에게 명확히 이해될 수 있을 것이다.

이하에서는 도면을 참조하여 본 발명의 구체적인 실시예를 상세하게 설명한다. 다만, 본 발명의 사상은 제시되는 실시예에 제한되지 아니하고, 본 발명의 사상을 이해하는 당업자는 동일한 사상의 범위 내에서 다른 구성요소를 추가, 변경, 삭제 등을 통하여, 퇴보적인 다른 발명이나 본 발명 사상의 범위 내에 포함되는 다른 실시예를 용이하게 제안할 수 있을 것이나, 이 또한 본원 발명 사상 범위 내에 포함된다고 할 것이다.
도1은 본 발명의 일실시예의 카메라모듈의 사시도이고, 도2는 본 발명의 일실시예의 카메라모듈의 분해사시도이다.
도1 및 도2를 참조하면, 본 발명의 카메라모듈은 하우징(100), 렌즈유닛(200) 및 기판어셈블리(300)를 포함한다.
하우징(100)은 내부에 수용공간이 형성되고, 상기 수용공간의 내부에는 렌즈유닛(200)이 구비된다. 하우징(100)은 본 발명의 카메라모듈이 장착되는 핸드폰, 카메라, 차량, 드론 등의 내부구조에 따라 다양한 형태로 구비될 수 있다. 본 일실시예에서는 카메라모듈에 가장 일반적으로 채택되는 직육면체 형상을 기준으로 설명한다.
렌즈유닛(200)은 상기 하우징(100)의 수용공간에 이동 가능하게 결합되고, 탄성부(210) 및 자석부(220)가 결합된다.
렌즈유닛(200)는 광학 이미지 안정화 (OIS : Optical Image Stabilizer) 기능 또는자동초점기능(AF : Auto Focusing)을 구현을 하기 위하여 하우징(100)에 이동 가능하게 결합된다.
본 실시예에서의 렌즈유닛(200)은 하우징(100)에 탄성부(210)를 통하여 결합된다. 구체적으로 탄성을 가지는 4개의 스프링이 렌즈유닛(200)을 하우징(100)에 결합시키고, 렌즈유닛(200)은 카메라모듈에 인가되는 외력 및 스프링의 탄성력에 의하여 하우징(100)에 이동 가능하게 결합된다.
한편, 최근 핸드폰 등에 사용되는 카메라모듈에는 영상 흔들림 방지(OIS) 또는 자동초점기능(AF: Auto Focusing)을 구현하기 위하여 다양한 구조 및 형태로 렌즈유닛(200)을 하우징(100)에 이동 가능하게 결합시킨다. 따라서 공지된 다양한 형태의 렌즈유닛(200)과 하우징(100)의 결합관계가 본 발명에 적용될 수 있을 것이다.
렌즈유닛(200)에는 자석부(220)가 구비된다. 자석부(220)는 후술하는 기판어셈블리(200)에 형성되는 코일패턴을 통하여 인가되는 자력에 따라 렌즈유닛(200)의 움직임을 보정하는 기능을 한다.
본 실시예에서는 직육면체 형상의 하우징(100)의 4개의 측면에 대향하도록 4개의 자석부(220)가 구비된다. 그러나 자석부(220)의 수, 배치, 형태는 이에 한정되는 것은 아니다.
도3은 본 발명의 일실시예의 기판어셈블리의 사시도이고, 도4는 본 발명의 일실시예의 제1기판유닛(310)의 후면을 나타내는 도면이고, 도5는 본 발명의 일실시예의 제2기판유닛(320)의 적층 과정을 나타내는 도면이다.
도3 내지 도5를 참조하면, 기판어셈블리(300)는 제1기판유닛(310) 및 제2기판유닛(320)을 포함한다.
제1기판유닛(310)으로는 연성기판(Flexible PCB)가 사용된다. 그리고 제1기판유닛(310)에는 후술하는 제2기판유닛(320)이 하나 이상 결합될 수 있으나, 본 실시예에서는 4개의 제2기판유닛(320)이 결합되는 것을 기준으로 설명한다.
그리고 제1기판유닛(310)에는 위치센서(311) 및 제2기판유닛(310)의 전기적인 연결을 위한 패턴(312)이 형성된다. 패턴(312)는 제2기판유닛(310)이 결합되는 경우 간섭이 없도록 형성되는 것이 바람직할 것이다.
본 실시예에서의 제1기판유닛(310)의 전면에는 제2기판유닛(320) 및 위치센서(311)와 전기적 연결을 위한 단자(a, b, c)만 노출이 되고, 패턴(312)은 제1기판유닛(310)의 후면에 형성된다. 그리고 단자(a, b, c) 및 패턴(312)는 제1기판유닛(310)을 관통하는 비아홀에 의하여 전기적으로 연결될 수 있을 것이다.
제1기판유닛(310)에는 렌즈유닛(200)의 위치를 판단하기 위한 위치센서(311)가 구비된다. 위치센서(311)로는 홀센서가 사용될 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 위치센서(311)는 후술하는 제2기판유닛(320)의 관통홀(320a)을 통하여 외부로 노출될 수 있다.
제2기판유닛(320)에는 구리선으로 형성되는 기존의 코일을 대체하기 위한 코일패턴(321)이 형성된다. 구리코일을 대체하기 위해서는 현재 사용되는 구리코일과 동일 또는 유사한 양의 자속밀도를 생성할 수 있어야 하고, 이를 위한 다양한 패턴이 다층으로 형성될 수 있을 것이다.
구체적으로 본 실시예에서는 제2기판유닛(320)은 하나 이상의 제2기판(321)을 포함하고, 제2기판에는 전면 또는 후면 중 적어도 하나에 코일패턴(321a)이 형성될 수 있을 것이다. 그리고 제2기판(321)의 전면 및 후면 또는 복수 개의 제2기판(321) 사이의 코일패턴(321a)는 비아홀을 통하여 전기적으로 연결될 수 있을 것이다.
한편, 제2기판유닛(320)으로는 강성기판(Rigid PCB)이 사용된다.
제2기판유닛(320)에는 게2기판유닛(320)을 상, 하 방향으로 관통하는 관통홀(320a)이 형성된다. 관통홀(320a)은 제2기판유닛(320)의 코일패턴(321a) 외측에 형성될 수도 있으나, 본 실시예에서는 코일패턴(321a)의 중앙부위에 형성된다. 그리고 관통홀(321a)을 통하여 상기 설명한 위치센서(311)가 외부로 노출되고, 렌즈유닛(200)의 움직임을 센싱하게 된다.
즉, 본 발명에서는 관통홀(321a)은 위치센서(311)가 렌즈유닛(200)의 움직임을 센싱할 수 있을 정도의 크기로 형성이 되어야 한다. 그리고 코일패턴(321a)은 관통홀(320a)의 둘레를 따라 형성이 되기 때문에 코일패턴(321a)의 크기, 회전수, 패턴간의 폭 등의 설계에 있어서 관통홀(320a)의 크기 등이 고려되어야 할 것이다.
한편, 본 실시예에서는 제1기판유닛(310)으로는 연성기판이 사용되고, 제2기판유닛(320)으로는 강성기판이 사용된다. 그리고 제2기판유닛(320)은 코일패턴(321a)이 충분한 자속밀도를 가지도록 다층으로 이루어지며, 4개의 제2기판유닛(320)이 제1기판유닛(310)에 결합된다.
따라서 제1기판유닛(310)의 경우 카메라모듈에 결합을 위하여 변형이 용이하며, 제2기판유닛(320)의 경우 연성기판에 비하여 상대적으로 제작공정이 쉽고, 생산단가가 낮은 강성기판을 사용함에 따라 비용 및 공정에 있어서 장점이 있다.
한편, 본 실시예와 다르게 제2기판유닛(320)은 연성기판의 적층을 통하여 구현을 할 수도 있을 것이다. 한편, 이 경우 관통홀을 형성하기 위하여 제2기판유닛(320)을 드릴링 또는 다이싱 등의 가공을 하는 작업은 보다 용이하게 진행이 될 수 있을 것이다.
한편, 제2기판유닛(320)에는 자속밀도의 보정을 위한 금속보정부(322)가 구비될 수 있을 것이다. 금속보정부(322)는 실제 카메라모듈에 적용을 가정한 시뮬레이션 등의 과정을 통하여 위치, 크기 등이 결정될 수 있을 것이다.
또한 금소가보정부(322)는 각 제2기판(321)에 코일패턴(321a)를 패터닝하는 과정에서 설정된 위치에 패터닝되는 방법으로 구현이 될 수 있을 것이다.
이하 본 발명의 기판 어셈블리를 제조하는 과정을 설명한다.
*도6은 본 발명의 제2기판유닛(320)에 관통홀을 형성하는 개념을 설명하기 위한 도면이고, 도7은 본 발명의 기판 어셈블리를 제작하는 단계를 나타내는 순서도이다.
도6 및 제7을 참조하면, 본 실시예의 기판 어셈블리 제조방법은 제1기판유닛 패턴형성단계(S10), 제2기판유닛 코일패턴형성단계(S20), 제2기판유닛 가공단계(S30) 및 제2기판유닛 접합단계(S40)을 포함한다.
제1기판유닛 패턴형성단계(S10)는 연성기판으로 구비되는 제1기판유닛(310)에 위치센서(311) 및 제2기판유닛(320)이 전기적으로 연결되는 패턴(312)을 형성한다. 구체적으로 본 실시예에서는 제1기판유닛(310)의 전면에 전극(a,b,c)을 형성하고, 후면에 외부와 연결을 위한 패턴(312)를 형성하며, 전극(a,b,c)와 패턴(312)은 비아홀을 통하여 연결한다. 그리고 제1기판유닛(310)의 전면에는 위치센서(311)가 실장되게 된다.
제2기판유닛 코일패턴형성단계(S20)에서는 제2기판유닛(320)에 코일패턴(321)을 형성한다. 구체적으로 본 실시예에서의 제2기판유닛(320)은 제2기판(321)을 포함하고, 충분한 자속밀도를 제공하기 위하여 제2기판(321)의 전면 또는 후면에 형성되거나, 복수 개의 제2기판(321)이 적층될 수도 있을 것이다.
제2기판유닛 가동단계(S30)에서는 제2기판유닛(320)에 관통홀(320a)을 형성한다. 관통홀(320a)는 제1기판유닛(310)에 실장되는 위치센서(311)가 외부로 노출되도록 하는 역할을 수행한다. 본 실시예에서의 코일패턴(321a)은 코일의 중앙부위에 관통홀(320a)이 형성될 수 있는 면적을 확보한 상태에서 상기 면적의 둘레를 따라서 형성되는 것이 바람직할 것이다.
제2기판유닛접합단계(S40)는 위치센서(311)가 관통홀(320a)를 통하여 노출될 수 있도록 상기 제2기판유닛(320)을 상기 제1기판유닛(310)에 결합한다.
이 때 제2기판유닛(320)은 제1기판유닛(310)의 전극(a, b)과 전기적으로 연결되고, 이를 통하여 각 제2기판(321)에 형성된 코일패턴(321a)에 전류가 인가되게 된다.
즉, 본 발명에 의하면, 구리코일을 대체하기 위하여 코일패턴이 형성된 제2기판유닛(320)을 제작한 다음 추가적인 기판의 중앙부위에 관통홀(320a)을 형성하는 기판가공과정을 통하여 종래 구리코일이 사용되는 것과 동일한 위치에 홀센서를 구비한 기판 어셈블리를 제공할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.
상기에서는 본 발명에 따른 실시예를 기준으로 본 발명의 구성과 특징을 설명하였으나 본 발명은 이에 한정되지 않으며, 본 발명의 사상과 범위 내에서 다양하게 변경 또는 변형할 수 있음은 본 발명이 속하는 기술분야의 당업자에게 명백한 것이며, 따라서 이와 같은 변경 또는 변형은 첨부된 특허청구범위에 속함을 밝혀둔다.
Claims (8)
- 제1기판유닛; 및상기 제1기판유닛과 전기적으로 연결되고, 코일패턴이 형성된 제2기판유닛;을 포함하는 기판어셈블리.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제2기판유닛은,전면 또는 후면 중 적어도 하나에 코일패턴이 형성되고, 전기적으로 연결된 상태에서 상, 하 방향으로 적층되는 복수 개의 제2기판을 포함하는 기판어셈블리.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제2기판유닛은 복수 개가 상기 제1기판유닛에 구비되는 기판어셈블리.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제2기판유닛에는 관통홀이 형성되고,상기 코일패턴은 상기 관통홀의 둘레에 형성되는 기판어셈블리.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 제1기판유닛에는 위치센서가 구비되고,상기 제2기판유닛은 상기 홀센서가 상기 관통홀을 통하여 노출되도록 상기 제1기판유닛에 결합되는 기판어셈블리.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1기판유닛은 플렉시블 기판이고, 상기 제2기판유닛은 강성기판이며,상기 제2기판유닛은 전면 또는 후면 중 적어도 하나에 코일패턴이 형성되고, 전기적으로 연결된 상태에서 상, 하 방향으로 적층되는 복수 개의 제2기판을 포함하고,상기 제2기판유닛은 복수 개가 상기 제1기판유닛에 구비되며,상기 제2기판유닛에는 상기 제2기판유닛을 상, 하 방향으로 관통하는 관통홀이 형성되고,사익 코일패턴은 상기 관통홀의 둘레에 형성되며,상기 제1기판유닛에는 홀센서가 구비되고,상기 제2기판유닛은 상기 홀센서가 상기 관통홀을 통하여 노출되도록 상기 제1기판유닛에 결합되는 기판어셈블리.
- 제1항 내지 제6항 중 어느 한 항의 기판 어셈블리를 포함하는 카메라모듈에 있어서,수용공간이 형성된 하우징;상기 수용공간이 이동 가능하게 결합되고, 자석부가 결합되는 렌즈유닛;상기 자석부에 자력을 제공하는 코일패턴이 형성된 기판어셈블리;를 포함하는 카메라모듈.
- 제6항의 기판어셈블리를 제조하는 방법에 있어서,상기 제1기판유닛에 위치센서 및 제2기판유닛과 전기적인 연결을 위한 패턴을 형성하는 제1기판유닛 패턴형성단계;상기 제2기판유닛에 코일패턴을 형성하는 코일패턴형성단계;상기 제2기판유닛에 관통홀을 형성하는 제2기판유닛가공단계;상기 위치센서가 상기 관통홀을 통하여 외부에 노출되도록 상기 제2기판유닛을 상기 제1기판유닛에 결합하는 제2기판유닛접합단계;를 포함하는 기판어셈블리 제조방법.
