Definitions
- the present disclosure relates to a radar device.
- a radar device for a vehicle needs a detection function in a horizontal direction, that is, a horizontal direction in order to detect an object such as another vehicle in front of the vehicle, a large number of receiving antennas are arranged at equal intervals in the horizontal direction.
- a radar device for a vehicle is also required to have a detection function in a vertical direction, that is, a vertical direction.
- a detection range and detection resolution equivalent to those in the horizontal direction are required even in the vertical direction.
- Some conventional radar devices for vehicles have a configuration in which two or three sets of receiving antennas are arranged in the vertical direction (see, for example, Patent Document 1). With this configuration, the angle of one object can be detected also in the vertical direction, but when there are two or more objects, there is a problem that the angle cannot be detected sufficiently. Further, in Patent Document 2, by disposing a plurality of transmitting / receiving antennas at various horizontal / vertical positions, it is possible to obtain vertical separability. In this configuration, it is required that any of the antennas be arranged in the vertical direction at intervals of about 1/2 of the wavelength ⁇ of the radio wave. Therefore, it is not possible to use such a method as shown in FIG. 3 in which a large number of patch antennas are connected to increase the antenna gain.
- An object of the present disclosure is to obtain a detection range and detection resolution equivalent to those in the horizontal direction even in the vertical direction, increase the degree of freedom of the antenna shape, and use an antenna array according to a desired gain and detection range. It is possible to provide a radar device that can achieve both resolution and detection distance / range.

Description

信号発生部2は、例えば周波数がのこぎり波状に変化するFCM(Fast Chirp Modulation)波形の基準信号を生成する。
