Abstract
Messeinheit (100) zur optischen Messung mindestens einer Eigenschaft eines Messobjekts (M), wobei die Messeinheit folgendes umfasst: a) ein lichtemittierendes LED-Bauelernent (102) umfassend: i) ein Gehäuse (108), wobei das Gehäuse eine Gehäusefläche G einnimmt; und ii) einen im Gehäuse befindlichen LED-Chip (110), wobei der LED-Chip eine Licht emittierende Lichtfläche L umfasst; b) einen Fotodetektor (104) zur Detektion von von dem Messobjekt (M) zurückgeworfenem Licht, welches von dem LED-Bauelement stammt, und zur Ausgabe eines von der Detektion abhängigen Messsignals; und c) einen integrierten Schaltkreis (106) zur Auswertung des vom Fotodetektor (104) gelieferten Messsignals, wobei das LED-Bauelement (102), der Fotodetektor (104) und der integrierte Schaltkreis (106) zu einer integrierten Einheit zusammengefasst sind, gekennzeichnet: - durch eine im Gehäuse (108) angeordnete und über dem LED-Chip (110) befindliche Konversionsschicht (112), welche das vom LED-Chip (110) ausgesandte Licht in mehrbändiges Licht (E) umwandelt; und - dadurch, dass das Verhältnis L/G der Lichtfläche L zur Gehäusefläche G größer gleich 0,8 ist.
Description
KOMPAKTE MEHRBÄNDIGE OPTISCHE MESSEINHEIT
Verwandte Anmeldungen Die vorliegende Anmeldung beansprucht die Priorität der deut schen Erstanmeldung DE 10 2018 123 037.0, die am 19.09.2018 beim DPMA hinterlegt wurde. Der Inhalt dieser Erstanmeldung wird hiermit vollumfänglich durch Verweis in die vorliegende Anmel dung aufgenommen.
Gebiet der Erfindung
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft eine Messeinheit zur opti schen Messung mindestens einer Eigenschaft eines Messobjekts, wobei die Messeinheit folgendes umfasst:
a) ein lichtemittierendes LED-Bauelement umfassend:
i) ein Gehäuse, wobei das Gehäuse eine Gehäusefläche einnimmt; und
ii) einen im Gehäuse befindlichen LED-Chip, wobei der LED-Chip eine Licht emittierende Lichtfläche umfasst; b) einen Fotodetektor zur Detektion von von dem Messobjekt zu rückgeworfenem Licht, welches von dem LED-Bauelement stammt, und zur Ausgabe eines von der Detektion abhängigen Messsignals; und
c) einen integrierten Schaltkreis zur Auswertung des vom Fo todetektor gelieferten Messsignals,
wobei das LED-Bauelement, der Fotodetektor und der integrierte Schaltkreis zu einer integrierten Einheit zusammengefasst sind. Hintergrund der Erfindung
Eine solche Messeinheit ist aus dem Dokument WO 2017/060746 Al bekannt. Sie dient zur Messung des Blutzuckerspiegels eines Patienten. Hierzu umfasst sie eine blaue LED, eine Infrarot- oder auch IR-LED, eine Fotodiode und einen Prozessor.
Von Nachteil bei dieser Messeinheit ist, dass der Bauraum, der benötigt wird, um diese in eine Uhr, ein Handy, in Kleidung oder
in einem sogenannten „wearable" zu integrieren, immer noch ver hältnismäßig groß ist.
Zudem ist diese Messeinheit ausschließlich für die Messung des
5 Blutzuckerspiegels geeignet.
Zusammenfassung der Erfindung
Es ist eine Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung, die oben defi0 nierte Messeinheit derart fortzubilden, dass diese eine mög lichst geringe Größe hat und vielseitig einsetzbar ist.
Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe durch eine im Gehäuse ange ordnete und über dem LED-Chip befindliche Konversionsschicht5 gelöst, welche das vom LED-Chip ausgesandte Licht in mehrbän diges Licht umwandelt, und dadurch, dass das Verhältnis L/G der Lichtfläche L zur Gehäusefläche G größer gleich 0,8 ist.
Durch die Mehrband-Konversionsschicht emittiert das LED-Bauele-0 ment mehrbändiges Licht. Bei der Reflexion dieses mehrbändigen Lichts am Messobjekt ergibt sich ein ganzes Reflexionsspektrum, welches vom Fotodetektor erfasst und von dem integrierten Schaltkreis ausgewertet werden kann. Die erfindungsgemäße Mes seinheit ist also für die Spektroskopie geeignet. Über diese5 Spektralanalyse lassen sich viel mehr Informationen über das Messobjekt gewinnen, als dies mit einer monochromatischen LED möglich ist.
Dank der geringen Gehäusegröße (das Gehäuse ist kaum größer als0 der LED-Chip) ist das LED-Bauelement sehr kompakt, sodass die Messeinheit entsprechend miniaturisiert werden kann.
Durch den Einsatz einer Konversionsschicht zur Erzeugung des mehrbändigen Lichts genügt als Lichtquelle eine einzige LED.5 Der platzraubende Einbau mehrerer separater LEDs entfällt also.
Bevorzugt kann der LED-Chip dazu eingerichtet sein, blaues Licht zu emittieren. Blaues Licht ist energetischer als andere Licht farben und deshalb am besten für die Konversion in mehrbändiges Licht geeignet.
In einer Ausführungsform können das LED-Bauelement und der Fo todetektor auf dem integrierten Schaltkreis angeordnet sein. So ist die Messeinheit ganz besonders kompakt und platzsparend. Der Abstand zwischen dem Sender (LED-Bauelement) und dem Fo todetektor ist dann minimiert. In diesem Fall sind das LED- Bauelement und der Fotodetektor vorzugsweise nebeneinander auf dem integrierten Schaltkreis angeordnet.
Alternativ kann die Messeinheit ferner ein Substrat umfassen, und das LED-Bauelement, der Fotodetektor und der integrierte Schaltkreis sind über das Substrat zu einer integrierten Einheit zusammengefasst. Auch so erhält man einen kompakten Aufbau, der zudem durch das Substrat sehr stabil ist. Bevorzugt sind dann das LED-Bauelement, der Fotodetektor und der integrierte Schalt kreis nebeneinander angeordnet, wobei vorzugsweise der Fotode tektor zwischen dem LED-Bauelement und dem integrierten Schalt kreis angeordnet ist. So befindet sich der Fotodetektor sowohl in der Nähe des LED-Bauelements als auch in der Nähe des inte grierten Schaltkreises, was die Anbindung des Fotodetektors an die beiden anderen Bauteile erleichtert. Das LED-Bauelement, der Fotodetektor und der integrierte Schaltkreis können in das Substrat eingebettet sein. Dies erhöht die Stabilität der Mes seinheit und spart Platz. Die Anordnung ist ganz besonders platzsparend, wenn das LED-Bauelement, der Fotodetektor und/o der der integrierte Schaltkreis bündig mit dem Substrat ab schließen. Bevorzugt besteht das Substrat aus einer Zusammen setzung auf Epoxidharz-Basis. Eine solche Zusammensetzung ist preiswert, bei guter Stabilität und einfacher Herstellbarkeit des daraus bestehenden Substrats.
Es ist von Vorteil, wenn die Konversionsschicht die gesamte Lichtfläche L abdeckt. So ist eine vollständige Konversion des vom LED-Chip emittierten Lichts sichergestellt. Insbesondere
kann dann kein von dem LED-Chip ausgesandtes nicht konvertiertes Licht in unerwünschter Weise aus dem LED-Bauelement austreten.
Die erfindungsgemäße Messeinheit kann als Spektrometer dienen,

dem LED-Bauelement als Lichtquelle des Spektrometers, dem Fotodetektor als Strahlungsdetektor des Spektro meters, der als Messsignal ein Reflektionsspektrum des Messob jekts ausgibt, und
0 der integrierten Schaltung als Auswertungseinheit für das vom Fotodetektor ausgegebene Reflektionsspektrum.
Man erhält so ein Spektrometer, das extrem kompakt ist, und dennoch eine komplexe Analyse eine Messobjekts ermöglicht. Zu dem kommt das Spektrometer mit einer einzigen Lichtquelle aus,5 welche trotzdem ein breites Lichtspektrum abdeckt.
Dies ermöglicht die Integration der Messeinheit in ein Mobil telefon, eine Armbanduhr, ein sonstiges tragbares Endgerät oder ein Kleidungsstück bzw. in ein sogenanntes „wearable" .

Definitionen
In der vorliegenden Anmeldung werden mehrere Fachbegriffe ver wendet, die im Folgenden genauer definiert werden:

A) Mehrbändiges Licht
Unter mehrbändigem Licht versteht man Licht, welches ein Spekt rum aufweist, dass mehrere getrennte Spektrallinien hat. Im0 Gegensatz dazu hat monochromatisches Licht ein Spektrum mit nur einer einzigen Spektrallinie. Mehrbändiges Licht unterscheidet sich von breitbandigem Licht dadurch, dass breitbandiges Licht ein kontinuierliches Spektrum hat, ähnlich einem schwarzen Strahler. Mehrbändiges Licht hat zumindest zwei getrennte Spekt5 rallinien. Mehrbändiges Licht kann auch drei oder mehr getrennte Spektrallinien haben.
B) Chip scale package
Unter Chip Scale Package (CSP) versteht man ein Gehäuse eines integrierten elektronischen Bauelements, dessen Größe mit der Größe des im Gehäuse beherbergten Chip vergleichbar ist. In der vorliegenden Anmeldung spricht man von einem CSP-Gehäuse, wenn das Verhältnis C/G der Chipfläche C zur Gehäusefläche G größer gleich 0,8 ist: C/G > 0,8. Wenn der Chip ein LED-Chip ist, kann man als Vergleichsgröße auch die Licht emittierende Lichtfläche L des LED-Chips anstatt der Chipfläche C verwenden. Dann gilt für ein LED-Bauelement , dass es ein CSP-Bauelement ist, wenn L/G > 0,8 ist.
Kurze Figurenbeschreibung
Es werden nun bevorzugte Ausführungsformen der Erfindung mit Bezug auf die Zeichnungen beschrieben. Dabei zeigen:
Figur 1 eine erste Variante einer erfindungsgemäßen Messeinheit; und
Figur 2 eine zweite Variante einer erfindungsgemäßen Messein heit .
Detaillierte Beschreibung bevorzugter Ausführungsformen
In der folgenden Beschreibung werden unter Bezugnahme auf die Zeichnungen beispielhafte Ausführungsformen der vorliegenden Erfindung beschrieben. Die Zeichnungen sind dabei nicht notwen digerweise maßstabsgetreu, sondern sollen die jeweiligen Merk male lediglich schematisch illustrieren.
Dabei ist zu beachten, dass die nachstehend beschriebenen Merk male und Komponenten jeweils miteinander kombiniert werden kön nen, unabhängig davon, ob sie in Zusammenhang mit einer einzigen Ausführungsform beschrieben worden sind. Die Kombination von Merkmalen in den jeweiligen Ausführungsformen dient lediglich der Veranschaulichung des grundsätzlichen Aufbaus und der Funk tionsweise der beanspruchten Vorrichtung.
Die in den beiden Figuren gezeigten Messeinheiten 100, 200 die nen zur optischen Messung mindestens einer Eigenschaft eines Messobjekts M. Bei dem Messobjekt M kann es sich um unterschied liche Gegenstände handeln. Das Messobjekt M kann zum Beispiel ein Lebensmittel sein oder auch die menschliche Haut oder ein Metall oder eine sonstige Substanz. Durch den Einsatz der Mes seinheit 100, 200 kann ein Nutzer Informationen über die Eigen schaften des Messobjekts M gewinnen. Wenn es sich zum Beispiel bei dem Objekt um ein Lebensmittel handelt, kann der Nutzer mittels der Messeinheit Informationen über dessen Inhaltsstoffe bekommen. Wenn es sich bei dem Objekt um eine Substanz handelt, kann man mittels der Messeinheit 100, 200 Informationen über dessen Zusammensetzung gewinnen.
Die Messeinheit 100, 200 gewinnt Informationen über das Mess objekt M, indem sie Licht E auf das Messobjekt M wirft, das vom Messobjekt zurückgeworfene Licht Q erfasst und anhand dessen Beschaffenheit Rückschlüsse auf die Eigenschaften des Messob jekts M zieht.
Die Messeinheit 100, 200 ist eine mikroelektronische Baugruppe. Sie ist dazu bestimmt, als Teil eines elektronischen Geräts verbaut zu werden. Die Messeinheit 100, 200 ist üblicherweise nicht größer als ein Fingernagel.
Es wird nun mit Bezug auf die Figur 1 eine erste Variante 100 einer erfindungsgemäßen Messeinheit beschrieben.
Die Messeinheit 100 umfasst ein Licht emittierendes LED-Bauele- ment 102, einen Fotodetektor 104, sowie einen integrierten Schaltkreis 106.
Im vorliegenden Beispiel sind das LED-Bauelement 102 und der Fotodetektor 104 auf dem integrierten Schaltkreis nebeneinander angeordnet. Sowohl das LED-Bauelement 102 als auch der Fotode tektor 104 sitzen also mit ihrer Unterseite auf der integrierten Schaltung 106. Genauer gesagt sind das LED-Bauelement 102 und
der Fotodetektor 104 auf dem integrierten Schaltkreis 106 be festigt. Sie können dort zum Beispiel aufgeklebt sein. Der Auf bau gemäß Figur 1 kann auch als „Chip on IC" bezeichnet werden. Demnach sind das LED-Bauelement 102, der Fotodetektor 104 und
5 der integrierte Schaltkreis 106 zu einer integrierten Einheit zusammengefasst .
Das Licht emittierende LED-Bauelement 102 umfasst ein Gehäuse 108 sowie einen im Gehäuse befindlichen LED-Chip 110. Das Ge0 häuse 108 nimmt eine Grundfläche G ein. Der LED-Chip 110 umfasst eine Licht emittierende Lichtfläche L. Erfindungsgemäß ist das Verhältnis L/G der Lichtfläche L zur Gehäusefläche G größer gleich 0,8. Somit handelt es sich bei dem LED-Bauelement 102 um ein sogenanntes Chip-Scale-Package- oder auch CSP-Bauelement .5 Dies bedeutet, dass das Gehäuse 108 des LED-Bauelements 102 nur unwesentlich größer als der LED-Chip 110 ist.
Bevorzugt umfasst der LED-Chip 110 eine blaue LED. D. h., dass der LED-Chip 110 dazu eingerichtet ist, blaues Licht zu emit0 tieren .
Das LED-Bauelement 102 besitzt außerdem eine im Gehäuse ange ordnete und über dem LED-Chip 110 befindliche Licht-Konversi onsschicht 112. Die Konversionsschicht 112 deckt hier die ge5 samte Lichtfläche L des LED-Chips 110 ab. Dadurch wird das gesamte vom LED-Chip 110 ausgesandte blaue Licht konvertiert. Die Konversionsschicht 112 ist derart ausgewählt, dass sie das vom LED-Chip 110 ausgesandte blaue Licht in mehrbändiges Licht umwandelt. Vorzugsweise wandelt die Konversionsschicht 112 das0 blaue Licht in mehrbändiges Infrarotlicht um. Das erhaltene Infrarotlicht kann z.B. drei Spektrallinien aufweisen. Das Inf rarotlicht besteht dann vorzugsweise aus drei Infrarot-Kompo nenten: eine erste Komponente im nahen Infrarotbereich, eine zweite Komponente im mittleren Infrarotbereich und eine dritte5 Komponente im fernen Infrarotbereich.
Der Fotodetektor 104 dient zur Detektion von von dem Messobjekt M zurückgeworfenem Licht Q. Dieses Licht Q stammt ursprünglich von dem LED-Bauelement 102.
Der Fotodetektor 104 kann an den integrierten Schaltkreis 106 ein Messsignal ausgeben, welches von den Charakteristika des reflektierten Lichts Q abhängt. Der Fotodetektor 104 ist dazu eingerichtet, eine Spektralzerlegung des zurückgeworfenen Lichts Q vorzunehmen. Der Fotodetektor 104 kann als Satz von Fotodioden, Photomultipliern oder Fototransistoren verwirklicht sein .
Der integrierte Schaltkreis 106 dient zur Auswertung des vom Fotodetektors gelieferten Messsignals. Der integrierte Schalt kreis 106 kann analog oder digital arbeiten.
Mit Bezug auf die Figur 2 wird nun eine zweite Variante 200 einer erfindungsgemäßen Messeinheit beschrieben. Die Messein heit 200 weist ebenfalls ein LED-Bauelement 202, einen Fotode tektor 204 und einen integrierten Schaltkreis 206 auf. Sie un terscheidet sich von der ersten Variante 100 gemäß Figur 1 lediglich dadurch, wie die drei Bauteile 202, 204 und 206 zu einander angeordnet sind. Die andere Anordnung ergibt sich bei der zweiten Variante 200 durch ein vorgesehenes Substrat S. Das LED-Bauelement 202, der Fotodetektor 204 und der integrierte Schaltkreis 206 sind über das Substrat S zu einer integrierten Einheit zusammengefasst. Dabei sind das LED-Bauelement 202, der Fotodetektor 204 und der integrierte Schaltkreis 206 nebenei nander angeordnet. Der Fotodetektor 204 sitzt zwischen dem LED- Bauelement 202 und dem integrierten Schaltkreis 206. Die drei Bauelemente 202, 204 und 206 sind in das Substrat S eingebettet. Im gezeigten Beispiel schließen das LED-Bauelement 202, der Fotodetektor 204 und der integrierte Schaltkreis 206 bündig mit dem Substrat S ab.
Bevorzugt besteht das Substrat S aus einer Zusammensetzung auf Epoxidharz-Basis .
Die erfindungsgemäßen Messeinheiten 100, 200 können insbeson dere als Spektrometer in einem Mobiltelefon, in einer Armbanduhr oder in einem sonstigen tragbaren Endgerät eingesetzt werden. Die Funktionsweise ist dann wie folgt:
Wir nehmen an, dass die Messeinheit 100, 200 in ein Mobiltelefon integriert ist. Ein Nutzer des Mobiltelefons kann dann die Mes seinheit 100, 200 aktivieren und auf ein zu vermessendes Objekt M ausrichten.
Der LED-Chip 110 emittiert dann blaues Licht, welches durch die Konversionsschicht 112 in mehrbändiges Licht E umgewandelt wird. Dieses mehrbändige Licht E verlässt dann das LED-Bauelement 102, 202 in Richtung des Messobjekts M. Von dort wird es in Richtung des Fotodetektors 104, 204 zurückgeworfen. Der Fotodetektor 104, 204 erfasst das Reflexionsspektrum Q. Dieses wird dann vom in tegrierten Schaltkreis 106, 206 ausgewertet. Je nach Art des
Spektrums lassen sich Rückschlüsse über Eigenschaften des Mess objekts M ziehen.
Da das LED-Bauelement 102 mehrbändiges Licht emittiert, erhält man auch ein informativeres Reflexionsspektrum vom Messobjekt M. Ein solches über einen ganzen Wellenlängenbereich verteiltes Reflexionsspektrum birgt deutlich mehr Informationen über das Messobjekt M als ein Reflexionssignal, welches man über eine monochromatische Lichtquelle erhält.

Claims
1. Messeinheit (100, 200) zur optischen Messung mindestens einer Eigenschaft eines Messobjekts (M) , wobei die Mess einheit folgendes umfasst:
a) ein lichtemittierendes LED-Bauelement (102, 202) um fassend:
i) ein Gehäuse (108), wobei das Gehäuse eine Gehäuse fläche G einnimmt; und
ii) einen im Gehäuse befindlichen LED-Chip (110), wo bei der LED-Chip eine Licht emittierende Lichtfläche L umfasst;
b) einen Fotodetektor (104, 204) zur Detektion von von dem Messobjekt (M) zurückgeworfenem Licht, welches von dem LED-Bauelement stammt, und zur Ausgabe eines von der Detektion abhängigen Messsignals; und
c) einen integrierten Schaltkreis (106, 206) zur Auswer tung des vom Fotodetektor (104, 204) gelieferten Mess signals,
wobei das LED-Bauelement (102, 202), der Fotodetektor
(104, 204) und der integrierte Schaltkreis (106, 206) zu einer integrierten Einheit zusammengefasst sind, gekennzeichnet :
durch eine im Gehäuse (108) angeordnete und über dem LED- Chip (110) befindliche Konversionsschicht (112), welche das vom LED-Chip (110) ausgesandte Licht in mehrbändiges Licht (E) umwandelt; und
dadurch, dass das Verhältnis L/G der Lichtfläche L zur Gehäusefläche G größer gleich 0,8 ist.
2. Messeinheit (100, 200) nach Anspruch 1,
wobei der LED-Chip (110) dazu eingerichtet ist, blaues Licht zu emittieren.
3. Messeinheit (100) nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
wobei das LED-Bauelement (102) und der Fotodetektor (104) auf dem integrierten Schaltkreis (106) angeordnet sind.
4. Messeinheit (100) nach Anspruch 3,
wobei das LED-Bauelement (102) und der Fotodetektor (104) nebeneinander auf dem integrierten Schaltkreis (106) an geordnet sind.

5. Messeinheit (200) nach Anspruch 1 oder 2,
wobei die Messeinheit ferner ein Substrat (S) umfasst und das LED-Bauelement (202), der Fotodetektor (204) und der integrierte Schaltkreis (206) über das Substrat zu einer0 integrierten Einheit zusammengefasst sind.
6. Messeinheit (200) nach Anspruch 5,
wobei das LED-Bauelement (202), der Fotodetektor (204) und der integrierte Schaltkreis (206) nebeneinander an-5 geordnet sind, wobei vorzugsweise der Fotodetektor zwi schen dem LED-Bauelement und dem integrierten Schaltkreis angeordnet ist.
7. Messeinheit (200) nach Anspruch 5 oder 6,
0 wobei das LED-Bauelement, der Fotodetektor und der inte grierte Schaltkreis in das Substrat (S) eingebettet sind.
8. Messeinheit (200) nach Anspruch 7,
wobei das LED-Bauelement, der Fotodetektor und/oder der5 integrierte Schaltkreis bündig mit dem Substrat (S) ab schließen .
9. Messeinheit (200) nach einem der Ansprüche 5 bis 8,
wobei das Substrat (S) aus einer Zusammensetzung auf Epo0 xidharz-Basis besteht.
10. Messeinheit (100, 200) nach einem der vorherigen Ansprü che ,
wobei die Konversionsschicht (112) die gesamte Lichtflä-5 che L abdeckt.
11. Messeinheit (100, 200) nach einem der vorherigen Ansprü che ,
wobei die Messeinheit ein Spektrometer ist, mit:
dem LED-Bauelement (102, 202) als Lichtquelle des
Spektrometers ,
dem Fotodetektor (104, 204) als Strahlungsdetektor des Spektrometers, der als Messsignal ein Reflektions- spektrum des Messobjekts ausgibt, und
der integrierten Schaltung (106, 206) als Auswertungs einheit für das vom Fotodetektor ausgegebene Reflek- tionsSpektrum.
12. Tragbares Endgerät, wie z.B. ein Mobiltelefon oder eine Armbanduhr, mit einer Messeinheit (100, 200) nach einem der vorherigen Ansprüche.
