Technical Field of the Invention
The invention relates to an autonomous robotic rice cooking device and semi- autonomous recipe cooking with voice guide connected to a platform via internet (WLAN)/Home network (WLAN) and operated through a mobile application. More particularly, relates to an improved version of a cooking device which performs end- to-end cooking operations automatically by itself, controlled from remote location and it provides instructions to prepare food items as per the user's demand‘by using recipe files, data and software stored in user interface device or by downloading the needed recipe from remote server.
Background of the Invention
Present modern life style has forced many people to resort to unhealthy food habits. In earlier days people had enough time on their hands to cook and eat healthy foods but now-a-days we tend to prefer a quick meal such as junk food and fast food. Only when we land into trouble we realize the bad state of affairs which are being the side effects of the modern life style.
Now-a-days many working professionals and busy people are not having enough time to spare in the kitchen due to their busy schedules. To solve this problem, many devices such as microwaves, rice-cookers, pressure-cookers are developed which are convenient to use but need user presence to measure, wash and cook rice or other recipes.
Therefore, it will be advantageous to develop a solution which enables busy professionals to prepare quality and healthy food from any remote location for better eating and to reduce consumption of fast food which is unhealthy and most people do not have time to learn how to Cook a delicious meal.
The present invention is to provide a autonomous robotic rice cooking device and semi-autonomous recipe cooking with voice guide means for solving the above problem present in the prior art.
An improved version of a cooking device which performs end-to-end cooking operations automatically by itself, connected to a platform via internet (WLAN)/Home network (WLAN) and semi -autonomous recipe cooking with voice guide, help the ordinary people who cannot cook at home effortlessly like chefs.
Brief Summary of the Invention
According to a preferred embodiment of the present invention, an autonomous robotic rice cooking device is developed which performs end-to-end operations and management of food.
In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, the proposed autonomous cooking device can be operated through a mobile application from any remote location. In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, the proposed cooking device automatically performs several operations such as measuring required ingredients, washing the ingredients byit-self and taking required ingredients for preparing food based on the calories of the user or based on cups. In accordance with an aspect of the present invention, user can provide input from remote location such as desired time, required ingredients and temperature settings, water ratio, soaking time, wash or no wash etc. which are required to prepare food. Accordingly, the present invention relates in providing real-time information regarding selected program, power failures and cooking status, etc.
From a reading of the description above of the preferred embodiment of the present invention, modifications and variations thereto may occur to those skilled in the art. Therefore, the scope of the present invention is to be limited only by the claims of this invention.
Detailed Description of the Invention
This invention is directed towards autonomous robotic rice cooking device and semi- autonomous multi cooker with voice guide who helps in saving time and providing nutritious and well-balanced meals.
The present invention comprises several storage containers, plurality of sensors, dispensing unit, induction based heating element, digital thermistor and a digitally operated buzzer to perform end-to-end operations that are transmitted from the remote location.
To operate, user needs to install the software application in his/her communication device and connect to Wi-Fi using the mobile application. The autonomous cooking device comprises several containers for storing plurality of ingredients that are useful for cooking. The user from the remote location commands several inputs such as required quantity, required ingredients and process of preparation, etc. Based on the user command the cooking device cooks food by using its robotic capabilities. In one embodiment, if the user wants to cook rice before he/she reaches the house. The user initially needs to fill the containers with required ingredients such as rice and water, etc. The user from the remote location sends the commands to the cooking device regarding the quantity of rice to be taken soak or not soak the rice before cooking, washing rice and dispensing water, etc.
In other embodiment, user can regulate the temperature settings from40 to 235 degree Celsius and has the flexibility to customize the cooking time to slow down the cooking process. Capacity of the washing chamber 106 is up to 3 cups, after pumping 1 cups of water and 1 cup of rice into washing chamber 106, power is sent to m2 and helps to wash rice by rotating the m2 motor in clockwise and anti-clockwise for 2 min or so. Than power is sent to pump for water intake according to the ratio set by user.
Than power is sent to m2 (Shaft) based on the IR sensor readings, valve opens to send washed rice and water into the bowl, Separate Electronic board that controls induction coil which is connected to the mother board and receives start protocol and starts induction coil.
Thermistor 116 located above induction coil which helps mother board to monitor bowl temperature and automatically shifts to warm mode(maintains 60 °C) after rice is cooked or after thermistor 116 reaches certain temperature for example: 150 °C and a Default warm mode will be for certain time for example: 30 min after cooking rice. The autonomous robotic rice cooking device lOOis provided with a semi -autonomous recipe cooking with voice guide; it provides instructions to prepare food items as per the user's demand‘by using recipe files, data and software stored in user interface device or by downloading the needed recipe from remote server.
When user selects the recipe, app shows the required ingredients and quantity based on number of servings selected by user. App tells user the procedure of cooking i.e. asks user to drop certain ingredients and ask user to stir whenever required, all user need to do is follow and press next in the app.
App automatically maintains required temperature for recipe and shifts to pause mode if user doesn’t interact with app when required and automatically resumes when he does.
Device contains dedicated Wi-Fi module in the mother board, which helps in connecting the device to the internet or it helps to create its own Wi-Fi hotspot where in, user can connect to this Wi-Fi and operate the device without internet (WLAN) when he is near the device

According to an embodiment of the invention; Referring to the drawings and particularly to FIG.2 Rice stored in the rice storage is driven to the washing chamber by the auger 203 shaped part powered by 9V DC geared motor driven by firmware & micro controller.

According to an embodiment of the invention; Referring to the drawings and particularly to FIG.3 water is stored in the water store308 and a 9V DC pump is used to driven the water stored in water store to washing chamber through flow meter & one way valve driven by firmware and micro controller.
The capacity of water storage 8.5 liters / 51 cups, where in Mother Board sends power to pump, it’s placed in the water tank to pump water into the washing chamber, power is sent based on counter (for example: 5 sec = 1 cup water) and countdown by subtracting the quantity of rice left every 100 milli seconds.
Where in water store and dispensing unit 308 of autonomous robotic rice cooking device 100 provided with automatic water inlet unit, sensors to get notification to user, when there is an empty of water in the water storage. According to an embodiment of the invention; Referring to the drawings and particularly to FIG.4 water & rice that are driven to the washing chamber and is thoroughly mixed/washed by an agitator driven by a bevel gear mechanism powered by 9V DC geared motor driven by firmware & micro controller and then waste water is pumped out by a 9V DC pump powered by firmware & micro controller and again fresh water is pumped into the washing chamber by same 9V DC pump. Then that mixture is driven to the cooking pot by a shaft - based stopper that is driven by rack& pinion mechanism powered by a 9V DC geared motor driven by Firmware & micro controller.
The capacity of washing chamber is - 3 cups and the washing chamber has an extra features one way passage that transfers water & rice mixture to the cooking bowl and also blocks steam to enter into the washing chamber. FIG. 5 illustrates an overview of cooking pot 512 for autonomous robotic rice cooking device. According to an embodiment of the invention; Referring to the drawings and particularly to FIG.5 water & rice mixture that is driven to the cooking pot 512 is boiled to the certain temperature by the heating element that is placed under the cooking pot and that heat is monitored by the thermistor that is placed in the center of the heating coil and under the cooking pot and the temperature of the heating element is controlled by the firmware & micro controlled.
Where in the capacity of the pot is 1.8 liters where it can prepare the rice maximum of 5 cups and an induction coil provides up to 235 degree temperature.
Autonomous robotic rice cooking device comprises with some more products waste water storage container where in the waste water after the washing or cleaning of the rice, the water is driven to the waste storage container capacity of 1 liter and it is provided with sensors to get notification to user i.e. drainage full.
In accordance with an object of the present invention, the proposed autonomous cooking device can be operated through a mobile application from any remote location.
In accordance with an object of the present invention, the proposed autonomous cooking device can be operated through a mobile application and we can cook food by cups based and calories based.

Claims

CLAIMS I/We Claim
1. A table top autonomous robotic rice cooking device(lOO), comprises:
a rice storing and dispensing unit(l02) at a top portion of the device; a automatic water inlet(l04) unit beneath the rice storing and dispensing unit(l02);
a rice washing and dispensing unit(l06)beside the water inlet unit( 104);
a water store and dispensing unit(l08)beneath the rice washing and dispensing unit(l06);
a waste water colleting container (HO)beside the water store and dispensing unit(l08);
a control board(H8) beneath the rice washing and dispensing unit( 106);
a induction heating element (H4)beside the water store and dispensing unit(l08);
a thermistor/heating sensor( H6)thermistor is placed in the center of the heating element (114) for monitoring of temperature; a mother board helps in connecting the device to the internet and create its own Wi-Fi hotspot user in near the device connect to this Wi-Fi and operate the device ;
a cooking pot(l 12) placed above the induction heating element(l 14).
2. The device as claimed in claim 1, where in the rice store and dispensing unit
(10) has an auger shaped part (203) for discharge of rice to the washing chamber (106).
3. The device as claimed in claim 1, where in the water store and dispensing unit (108) has a 9V DC pump to discharge water to washing chamber through flow meter & one -way valve driven by firmware and micro controller.
4. The device as claimed in claim 1, where in the rice washing and dispensing unit (106) has an agitator driven by a bevel gear mechanism for mixing and washing of rice.
5. The device as claimed in claim 1, where in the rice washing and dispensing unit (106) has a shaft based stopper driven by rack and pinion mechanism for discharge of washed rice to the cooking pot.
6. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the device has a dedicated Wi-Fi module is operated by a mobile application using internet (WAN)/home network(WLAN) as a communication medium.
7. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cooking device measures required quantity of rice after receiving communication from mobile application.
8. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein device estimates the quantity of rice required for cooking based on the preset calories/cups input of the user.
9. The device as claimed in claim 1, wherein device provides audio instructions to the user based on the stored data of the recipes and automatically controls the temperature from app while cooking recipe
10. The device as claimed in claim 1, where in device operated from a remote location.

